Hi,
I just purchased my first PCs in years and they are fantastic. They are two Dell R340s doing a bunch of homelab things. One is also serving as a NAS of sorts and I've loaded with 2.5" SSDs, and the other is just booting of a BOSS card and SATA M.2 which works great as well for Opnsense. Loving Proxmox.
Two questions:
1) I have read various posts, including https://www.reddit.com/homelab/comments/14o6uwy/dell_r340_128gb_ram_capacity_support/ where people report successfully using 128 GB of RAM in the R340. It originally was only spec'd for 64 GB max (4 x 16 GB) but there was a comment in the original specs that 128 GB would become possible when 32 GB UDIMM's hit the market with a future BIOS update, and people report it working as in that link and some YT videos.
However, I purchased two (as opposed to four) of the Micron MTA18ASF4G72AZ-3G2R 32GB DIMMs referenced in that post, and the system wouldn't boot due to "RAM configuration errors." Has anyone else successfully used 32GB DIMMs on the R340? Could it be that it only allows exactly 4? I had the most recent BIOS, so maybe also Dell reversed course and shut off this support in a later version?
2) In any case, I bought some 16 GB Samsung DIMMs on eBay very cheaply which work fine and despite being labeled the same as the Dell parts ("16GB 2Rx8 PC4-2666Y - EE1 - 11"), the R340 seems very picky about what RAM it lets run at full clock speed. Except for the DIMMs that came from Dell, the new but otherwise identical (?) RAM runs at 2133 mhz even by itself. Not really a big deal I suppose. First PICC is Dell RAM and 2nd is aftermarket. Any idea what it is being picky about if the overall ratings are the same? Seems there may even be different versions of the same RAM brand as one of the Dell DIMMs was a Samsung and another otherwise identical part is slowed down.
I tried posting in Dell but got no love. Thanks for any advice.

Heard it was a Windows/AMD issue specifically. I am extremely tired of having to restart my streams every 15-20 minutes,
I am on Windows 11, running an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D. I've tried everything suggested and nothing is working. Please tell me there is some kind of fix I can do that will actually resolve this?

Potential spoiler if you haven’t watched Nosferatu, also sorry if this has been posted before.
I saw Nosferatu recently and the ending reminded me so much of Erin and the angel. Like, the whole idea of keeping them sucking till daylight so they die. Maybe its a common theme within these types of movies and show but wanted to share my observation nonetheless.

2025.01.23 22:31 jonahsgma Settings to activate touchscreen infotainment.
I saw a video that showed how you could go in and click devices in motion so that the touch screen would actually work if you're using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. I've gone through the entire menu and all the settings . It seems that this car does not have that box too check. I have the 2021 Mazda CX-5 Grand touring with premium package. Does anyone know if there is a different type of setting or does this particular car just not have it? I'm wondering if Mazda redid the software so that we couldn't do that.
