Thinking of getting it. Is it an okay deal? (My family already has a standard ICE Corolla.)
This would be a second vehicle that I use for a short commute within town, 16 miles total 5 days per week.
Would also use it for errands and to go to local hiking spots, but minimal highway driving.
I will likely just use the basic Level 1 charger that comes with the vehicle, and not upgrade my home to Level 2.
If the range is only about 100 miles when I get it, how many years of use can I get from it with light use?

I’ve been unemployed since September. I’m 24 and graduated in the summer with my Bachelors degree. I worked in my field while going to school, but havent been able to find work since September.
I’ve been doing the same thing over and over and over, for months. There is little to no excitement in ANYTHING i’m doing anymore. My student loan payments start next month, and I have no income whatsoever. I had unemployment and I was thinking it’d only take a few weeks to find a new job after my last role, but I haven’t worked in months and it’s running out.
I officially feel like a failure. I worked SO hard throughout college to be career driven. I skipped parties, hanging out with friends, dating around before & after my serious relationship (she broke up with me over text 13 days before my dad died in 2023)…. all for nothing.
I haven’t been dating either, because nobody wants a bum. I don’t hang out with friends because the ones I like hanging out with live across the country. I mean sht I haven’t even been able to land a job at a grocery store or anything simple, it’s absolutely demoralizing, I feel worthless. I want to find my forever person, but I want to find a fcking JOB first… something that is fulfilling. I want to be passionate about what I do. I have YEARS of experience…. but NOBODY has called me back. I’ve interviewed at a few places….. nothing.
I tried to set a schedule for myself and be that “motivated overachiever” but it gets old. It’s exhausting when theres no end in sight. It’s not a discipline issue at all. I can’t do shit anymore. I’m running out of money, I’m nowhere near my peers. I feel like I absolutely threw YEARS of my life away and was thrown into this shit situation.

Hi all - I’ve moved a few times with my pc and each time, the screws holding the motherboard in come out. I always take out the graphics card when I move but it seems like just the weight of the cpu cooler fan is enough to pull them out. 2 of the screws stay in but the other 6 come out every time and the worn-down threading of the holes doesn’t really allow me to tighten those screws down anymore. Thankfully the pc still runs just fine after all of this but I’m wondering: could I just use superglue to hold those screws in permanently?

Hi, everyone! First and foremost, I want to help turn this sub around because Alignerr deserves a stronger community on public forums similar to DA, Outlier, and StellarAI. A stronger community hopefully encourages others to trust that their time invested here will pay off. When we share our experiences, it not only helps alleviate concerns but also strengthens Alignerr’s reputation. This will attract more qualified contractors—and in turn, more projects and better pay for all of us as quality work will just increase. This post is for anyone interested in hearing our stories so far while we keep it general enough to avoid violating any NDAs or TOS.
I understand that many of you may be at different stages in the onboarding process, and it can be confusing given how extensive it is. That is why I’ve attached a link below to a thread on this subreddit which helped me navigate the entire process when I first applied. I recommend that anyone who comes across this post to check it out if you're unsure about your place in the timeline. Keep in mind this information was from before the transition to Discourse, so you may need to contact an Alignerr support agent if you haven't gained access yet.

Now for the nitty-gritty. I hope this eases those who haven’t gotten work and are still very skeptical of the legitimacy of this platform. I'm based in the US. I applied to Alignerr at the beginning of October, and I’m grateful to have already worked on many various projects (20+) so far. The projects at Alignerr have ranged from picture, audio, and video labeling in various fields. I was accepted for the roles like Technical Writer, Generalist, and Mathematics. I applied before the Zara AI interviews so I unfortunately failed some of the other test assessments that I had more background in, like physics. Even though I am already working, I'll still be completing the AI interview to gain access to the roles that I previously failed under the outdated test system.
I don't want this post taken down so the rough range of pay from October to December was from $20-30/hr, depending on the project. Similar to other platforms, the pay can increase if you provide consistent, quality work and become a reviewer for that specific project. Recently, I've begun to work on STEM-related projects, in which the pay is nearly 2-3x from what I've already listed. Yes, the numbers they advertise are real, but I still won't go back to get a PhD for that. I am perfectly fine with what I am at right now. 😂
Now the downside. There will be some days or even weeks where you will have no work as projects end/pause. This is perfectly normal and I want to clarify the structure of how projects are assigned, so we can all understand why there are times with limited available work. “Customers” are third-party clients that partner with Alignerr. They provide batches of work that are sent to us, the contractors, to complete. Some months are busy with plenty of projects, and other times it's slow because clients review all the data Alignerr sends them to ensure that it meets quality standards. Once this is done, only then will clients release more various projects for us to do. We only receive work when clients provide new batches and projects to Alignerr. The initial slowdown back when they onboarded thousands of people last year was due to a lack of customers; they needed to build their workforce to demonstrate their capability to deliver quality data, which is the work we do!
Some projects are done on external platforms which can cause delays in payments, but I’ve had all my hours paid. Even my most recent payment had an issue. I wasn't able to put in many hours at all during this period and since the project was done on an external platform, the payment was also delayed. However, I received my invoice and once again have been proven right to trust this platform and its integrity. The key to these platforms is patience, consistency, and a little trust. Things of which are definitely hard to have, especially with freelance and remote work.
The holiday seasons have passed now and I'm glad to see more people on this sub receive work, along with their first paycheck which finally puts any worries they had at ease. I still urge every one of us to always have alternative platforms to fall back on because putting all your eggs in one basket is never wise. Let's continue to support each other as this platform continues to grow alongside our knowledge, I've honestly learned so much from AI Training across various companies and many of my friends/family are always curious about what I've been up to. I couldn't have predicted doing this only a few months ago but it has been completely worth it so far. I can't wait to see how far we all go this year! As they say, happy labeling!

Frankly, both sides did a poor job presenting their arguments to the justices, which was surprising to watch.
For Republicans, there’s some good news: the burden of proof falls on the petitioners to convince the court to take an extraordinary step. Even a few of the justices acknowledged that Republicans currently hold a temporary majority, among other points in their favor.
The bad news is the entire bench is made up of justices appointed by Democrats, so politics could easily influence the outcome.

 | I finally 💯% completed Sekiro earlier this week after getting it when it first came out in 2019. It hasn’t been that long of an endeavor or an on again off again thing by any means, I just finally decided to sit down and do it. I went and did all the gauntlets too (except for the last one, that one scares me) and I’m so glad I did. The combat and bosses in this game are so intricate and unique and they are what make this game what it is. I’m so sad that there was never DLC because I can’t stand the thought of never experiencing anything new in this game again. Broke my fibula around early October and it's January now and it still kinda hurts a bit is it normal? I feel like it should already be fully healed by now, I am a very active person and have been running and working out since I was cleared on Dec 3rd, I had a boot for about 6 weeks and I was walking on it the whole time with the boot I was just wondering if I should go to the doctor again or if its just taking longer to heal then normal because I still use it like normal? 36F trapped in a sad marriage with 5 kids and a cheating spouse. I am a SAHM for now and I do not have any money. Everything is my husband. There is no more love on my end. I've been trying to forgive and forget and things are not getting worse, I just don't really love him anymore after what he has done to me and my kids. I feel like I can't leave because I have no money or income, nowhere to go, scared my kids especially the severe special needs baby will always hate me or need therapy from a divorce and losing home, and it seems so trivial but who will ever want a washed up mother with so many kids? These days I feel so trapped and sad and hopeless. I have no friends or family to talk to so I come here. That's it.

I've built an app called Migo (on the Apple App Store, you can also access it on https://heymigo.ai/) to help users find friends / dating and am looking for users to test it out.
Apps like Bumble BFF/Hinge are swamped with bots and feel like you're filling out tax forms. Many people I know end up half-assing the 20-step registration process on these apps which leads to a sub-optimal matching experience for everyone.
Migo does things differently -
- Instead of having to carefully craft witty/inauthentic responses to prompts, you have a conversation with a ChatGPT-like bot which creates your profile for you. Your profile reflects you instead of you having to pick responses that vaguely match your preferences.
- Migo updates your profile regularly, so one day you could be on the look out for the love of your life, and on another you could ask Migo to help you find a study partner for your finals.
- When you match with someone, Migo explains why you should connect, and also starts off the conversation with introductions to break the ice. It can also look up and suggest local activities for you to attend together.
- You get to see all of your matches and people who want to match with you upfront. You can also share your profile if you'd like to connect with someone directly.
It might take a while to get enough people to start making recommendations, and the experience will be buggy, but I really hope you give it a try! Migo is only available on iOS for now but should be launching on Android soon too. If you spot bugs/have questions, feel free to DM me!
