I am about to purchase my first home, and am trying to calculate the value of the tax benefit I will get. I'd love a sanity check to see if I'm making any incorrect assumptions about how the mortgage interest and SALT deductions are applied.
Scenario A: Continue renting - take standard deduction of 29,500 (married filing jointly)
Scenario B: Purchase a home - take mortgage interest deduction of 45,000 ($750K mortgage @ 6% interest) + $10,000 SALT deduction = $55,000 in itemized deductions
Scenario B (55,000) minus Scenario A (29,500) = $25,500 of incremental deductions in Scenario B
Incremental tax benefit (assuming 35% federal tax bracket) of Scenario B = $25,500 * 35% = $8925
I've always just taken the standard deduction, so itemizing is confusing to me - would a thumbs up or thumbs down from anyone more well versed. Appreciate the help!!

Hello, I'm fairly new to the Sonic universe and just had a few questions on what to watch. The only sonic series I remember watching as a kid was Sonic Underground, I think I played the first Sonic game, and I watched all 3 of the movies, but I want to watch a series so I can understand more of the lore. The two series I've seen people talk a lot about is Sonic Prime and Sonic X, I might watch both but is one better than the other? My favorite character is Tails so does he have more screen time on one?

TIL... a small airport in Tunis was used by Saddam's regime to host two 747 planes during the first Gulf War (inc an SP). They've been stuck at that airport ever since, having been subjected to decades of legal battles. Still sitting there today, authorities finally were able to try to sell them but no one wants to buy them. So they still sit in the desert waiting for a solution.
I learned this when I decided to check what airport in the world has the code TOE.

Hello Fabulous Ladies! I have my next follow up with my Midi provider (love her by the way) next week and want to get a handle on how I know I'm on the right dosage, of estrogen specifically.
I started back in early November on the patch, at 0.025mg (plus 100mg of Progesterone), still had crazy night sweats and brain fog so a few weeks later we moved up to 0.05mg. Night sweats were still a thing and my sleep disturbances were/are my number one complaint so at the end of December we moved to 0.075mg (and 200mg Progesterone). I had one crazy night of night sweats maybe 2-3 days after increasing to 0.075mg and so far <

I've been watching this stock for a month now and took a small size position with a cost basis of $0.31. Thought maybe there was some juice left in the stock and maybe there still is but we won't know until after the reverse split. But wtf happened here? It looks like a blood bath and I can see many got hurt in this stock. I can see on every platform in the comments to run far away from this stock but I want to know from the few shareholders to hodling on why they still hold?
Is this just a bad company or is this a short attack? Both?

ESI Club 258 is a WhatsApp group that did a series of pump and dump. After winning investors' confidence, they convinced investors to buy CHSN at $6 and $6.25 yesterday. It kept the market up for large investors to cash out, and today, it crashed, bringing the stock down to .80 cents. They left a lot of innocent amateur investors down the drain, losing 90% of their investment. The group assistant Amy and Professor Tim Buckley became 007. Watch out for the so-called WA groups that disguise themselves as teachers. They bait you to win your trust, then they promise a huge return and ask you to liquidate other investments because the return you will get from their suggested stock outweighs holding on to other stocks. Some people in the WA group act like they are so excited to invest in the stock and show they are buying over $100k, but it's all fake. Some people lose over $100K of their savings to these pump-and-dump con artists. Once they dump, they make the WP group where only the admin can post, and if you reach out to them directly, you will never get a response. I hope I save investors from this pump-and-dump scam.
