That post about Ant's 2pt efficiency got me thinking about how much our lineups are responsible. There's a lot of possible reasons behind his regression, of course - we lost the best spacing big in the NBA, we added Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert became worse, Jaden and Conley have struggled majorly to start the year... but the most obvious culprit for our spacing woes comes from Rudy - that's undeniable.
So out of curiosity, I looked at another talented shooting guard that has had experience both with Rudy and without Rudy and compared the numbers to see how his scoring at the rim changed. Donovan Mitchell is on a fantastic run right now, first seed in the east, potentially contending for a ring, but he was also once in a very similar boat to Ant - contending for the top seed in the west, flaming out in the playoffs, and playing with a struggling team the season after a solid postseason.
Here are his shooting numbers around the rim with Rudy and without Rudy.

I thought it's also worth checking out how much Ant's shot profile has changed with Rudy, who joined in the 2022-2023 season.

Now Rudy obviously does hurt spacing, but he's not the only big in the league that can't shoot, and plenty of teams make it work. Dallas last year, the Suns with Ayton in 2021 - all made it to the finals without a spacing center. But they didn't win either, so whether or not it's a mandatory requirement for a champ these days remains to be seen.
Yet at the end of the day, our offense looks like shit. And that's not just Rudy's fault. So, I looked at lineup net ratings to see if the numbers matched the eye test. I just went with the top 3 most used by minutes.

Now I don't think Rudy alone is the problem. He has obviously underperformed this season both offensively and defensively, but we've proven that we can win with him. That said, he's been a liability this year. I'm not going to start shouting "Trade Rudy for a bag of chips!" or anything like that, but the lineups we're using clearly aren't working. Rudy and Randle do not play well together yet and adding other struggling shooters like Jaden and Mike to the mix allows the defense to completely swarm Ant and take away the best parts of his game. Hopefully Jaden and Mike are indeed turning a corner after last night's game, but I still think staggering Randle and Rudy's minutes better would do wonders for this lineup.
Naz needs more minutes, period. He is the key to this offense and if we let him walk to keep Randle, this team will have completely lost any bit of good will this franchise has left. And if Rudy doesn't get his defensive mojo back, the best thing the franchise can do is find a way to move on, no matter how dumb it makes Tim Connelly look, because the alternative is wasting Ant's time in Minnesota, stifling his growth, and risk watching him become another KG or KAT.

With the recent political developments in the States, I feel as though I am trapped with all my decisions.
I left a South Asian country with my family to the Middle East, which I then left so I could come to Canada to pursue an education. Canada…is also a huge fuckfest. No other way to say that. Housing is horrible. Job places…God. Indian men have infiltrated both corners and the shit I’ve experienced as a result of racism and sexism has suddenly grown.
I wanted to practice law in the States, specifically in prison reform with a victim and offender focused approach towards accountability and justice. I also wanted to work with Muslims impacted by post-9/11 legislation and those wrongfully incarcerated in the states (a very high number). But I knew that in order to pay off my debts, I’d have to begin a career in corporate law.
But I keep thinking….thats around the same time I want to start a family…what corporate law firm is going to hire mothers and pregnant women or women anymore with trumps new initiatives. And what about the fact that I’m Muslim? Oh God. Honestly, Michigan needs a huge slap in the face because what WERE THEY THINKING PLACING A VOTE FOR A FUCK THAT ENACTED A MUSLIM BAN??
God I’m SO MAD.
I am so worried for Muslim women. I’m worried for immigrants the most. I’m worried for black women, I’m worried for WOC in poor communities. I’m worried for trans women. I’m worried sick for little girls, female teachers, victims of rape and abuse. I’m worried for women in prison. I’m worried for the wives and mothers and sisters and girlfriends of men who are in prison (who at times are their only support, financially and security wise).
I’m worried for myself, as selfish as it is to say. I know I have options, but I am working very hard for a future that may not even exist.

Went back home to NJ for a visit and met up with my old buddy. He called some friends and we had a blast running some trails and doing some serious mudding as it had just rained.
Afterwards I had a check engine light due to hitting puddles hard and the leaves, mud and water dislodging the rotating vents between the front bumper and skid plate. It comes up as a transmission error on the reader. Fortunately I remembered seeing a YouTube video on RFRacing channel about this and pulled the front skid plate down, fixed the vents and cleared the error. I'm considering installing a mesh there to keep debris out.
Has anyone else encountered this?

When I last played there were six roles, main support, flex support, flex dps, main dps, main tank, and off tank. Do these roles still apply to modern overwatch or have we moved to a different system of classifying roles? So I had a Wordpress (Certified Bitnami Automattic) website deployed on Google Cloud and then sometime this summer my VM instance disappeared… my Wordpress deployment is there but it has an exclamation mark in place of admin and site url. When I click the link to instance it says “unable to find resource…”
Has something changed this summer that I missed? I see some notice about something called Terraform but not sure if related…
How can I revive the instance?
