Hey everyone!
Recently I've been thinking about switching careers. I majored in Public Health (B.S.) from a T20 U.S. college, and got my first job as a healthcare consultant for a large consulting firm (they do other types of work as well - not just healthcare). Now, I am thinking about switching into the tech industry for similar roles functionally. I got the H-1B first time and approved with no complications (e.g., no RFE, etc).
The roles I've been looking at are very similar functionally (i.e., essentially doing the same type of work I did, just in a different industry).
What are the chances of a successful transfer in this case (with or without RFE)? Does USCIS take into consideration degree only, or do they also take the previous role as a precedent?

I got a Biorb tube 30l as a present from my upstairs neighbour since she is moving back to her hometown. She used to have betta fish in it and they lived very long and healthy (a miracle?) life, even though she had the original set up with the spiky gravel and plastic plants.
I absolutely don’t want to do that and was wondering what I could do with the tank… Maybe also a betta but with the transformed filter and normal gravel and real plants? But it seems so hard reading all the posts here. Maybe just a planted aquarium without fish or shrimp? Could I transform the aquarium in a terrarium with cool plants and no animals? I’ve seen the Biorb Air Tanks and I love how they look…
I’m open to any ideas or tips :) Thank you so much 🫶

I don't know if this is an uncommon experience because I posted it in other subs and got zero responses. I'm wondering if anyone had the specific experience of growing up with an autistic sibling who is more impaired and how it impacted you.
Me and my sibling were both diagnosed at a young age around the same time, and since my sibling is less independent and required more help I feel like my needs were overlooked and dismissed. I was fortunate to get some autism related services like OT but I actually did not really understand that I was autistic at all until I was an adult because nobody explained it to me, and my parents gave me demeaning lectures about how I should feel lucky compared to my sibling, even though I was struggling a lot. The way I was raised was also extremely inconsistent, sometimes I was regarded as a fully functional person who should be held responsible for my sibling's bad behavior and sometimes I was regarded as incapable of looking after myself even at age 18. I'm in my 30s now and only just now do I feel like I'm understanding how badly this harmed me.

2025.01.23 23:10 BeeBee9E Got sterilised today!! Some questions about recovery
Hi all, I finally got sterilised today and never have to worry about that again! For the surgery experience itself it was super chill, I felt almost no pain for a few hours after, then I took a paracetamol and was in minimal pain until evening.
However, after I got home it got slightly worse and I have some questions to make sure everything is ok in there (I have really bad health anxiety lol): 1) the pain (mainly gas I think) got worse in the past few hours especially after I ate, what amount of pain is normal (yes I know it will vary by person)? To clarify, so far I’ve only taken paracetamol, they told me to only take the stronger med if really necessary. 2) there’s a small amount of blood on the bandage of one incision, is it normal for them to bleed a bit? 3) peeing is slightly weird, I can pee and they tested that at the hospital where I peed twice after the surgery, but it’s a bit more difficult for it to start and to be blunt the jet is weaker. It also hurts a bit now in my lower abdomen when I pee. Again, is this expected? 4) There’s one bandage that’s significantly larger than the other two (two are the small square bandages, one is a longer thick bandage), did anyone else have this? Not sure what that was done for as my surgeon said everything went perfectly well during the surgery. I’m cleared to take them off tomorrow evening but not sure what to expect there.
Sorry for the overly anxious questions, and congrats to everyone else who got this done!

Dandadan I have missed you! After a mishap on my side I'm back from a little 2-day ban. Before I get into anything more I wanna give a big thanks to u/Ayase-Momo and her HCRC posts as they gave me a bunch of inspiration for this so yeah thanks a ton, but without anymore hesitation let's get started!
btw spoilers ahead:)
Now as we know bring Momo back to her normal size she is going to do something with a Supermoon. Btw a supermoon is a moon that's particularly large in the sky as welll as either a full or new moon .while yes I could shut my trap and wait I'm stubborn so let's get into the theory.
Throughout Dandadan we have seen quite a few Buddhist themes (the most obvious being Kintas first robot, but it goes a lot deeper) one being Evil Eye and his relations to an oni and that to its relation to the Kleshas in Buddhism,the lucky hand gesture which looks to be loosely based on mudras, or more commonly know are the mandalas which are all over this subreddit ( All of these were thanks to Momos HCRC posts so once again Ty)
Now what do these two mean? Well if you look at the moon it has a pretty big role in Buddhist culture as The Shakyamuni Buddha was born, became enlightened, as well as attained Parinirvana all on full moon days. Almost all Buddhas are born on full moon days.
So if you put everything together it can lead me to believe that Momo will gain a power-up of sorts. Now what? Idk it could be whatever, but we know she can get stronger and now we just have to see how and I think this is it!
