Since Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's initial success and now the Booster course as well, I don't think the new game on the Switch 2 will launch with only 32 courses, but it is still possible. 48 courses like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe had at launch seems very likely and is the most probable option, but with the amount of content MK8dx has at this point having 64 courses is not completely impossible either I feel. So, will the next game have 32, 48 or 64 courses, or maybe even more (almost definitely not)?

2025.01.23 23:21 0_leni_5 I got my X230!
 | I finally bought second-hand X230 for around €50 (~$50) that is surprisingly in a good state! i5-3320M 8 GB RAM and 120 GB (yes, 120, not 128 xd) ssd. Diagnostics showed all systems functioning. The only issues I can see with the laptop is the broken plastic at the left bottom edge and non-functioning scroll for TrackPoint. The broken plastic I don't really mind but the lack of scroll pains me. Perhaps it is the problem of Windows 11 not supporting it? I guess I won't know until I boot Linux on it. Maybe someone in this subreddit has stumbled upon similar problem? Also the SSD has the tendency to unplug but it's because it is too small for the slot. Because of it my X230 didn't want to load win11 and kept throwing me into BIOS menu. It gave me a bit of a headache at the beginning xd. Problem solved by stuffing folded piece of paper left there already by the previous owner xd. I only secured it better. I am so happy to have the machine. It's gonna be my passion project to mod it to my liking. Keyboard replacement for the X220's one is definitely on the list. I'll also switch to Linux. Later, when it will be all set up, I'm gonna use it as my notetaking and coding machine for uni. I am also extremely glad to own one of the most iconic ThinkPad! Can't wait for the semester break to finally dig into its insides! X230 in it's all glory! The broken plastic can be seen on the right of the picture. It is slightly pushed in. From what I've exclusively seen and bought myself, heat tape for pipes is all 120vac and almost looks like coaxial cable when it's cut open.
Would it be more efficient if it was run on DC lower voltage higher amperage, with a switch mode power supply feeding it.?
How does it work too? Are the conductors higher resistance? Or are there resistors, maybe thermistors at the beginning or end of the line? I have a very low understanding of these things, genuinely curious.
