In a statement non-profit Tenor Health Foundation said it closed the deal to buy Sharon Regional on Wednesday. No time frame was given for the reopening. The hospital has been closed since Jan. 6.
“It is Tenor’s strong hope and intention to restore a comprehensive range of services — such as emergency care, medical-surgical admissions, on-call specialists, anesthesiology, laboratory, radiology, and essential pharmaceuticals and supplies — to meet the community’s needs,’’ Radha Savitala, Tenor Health’s CEO said in the statement. “Additionally, Tenor Health is working concurrently to reopen key healthcare resources, including the Hermitage Diagnostic Center, intensive behavioral health programs, adult and child partial hospitalization programs, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services, the wound and Sleep Centers, outpatient rehabilitation, and the Pain Clinic.”
In the case of the Hermitage Diagnostic Center, Quest Diagnostics, a Fortune 500 company, has been running the center’s blood testing operations. The reference to reopening the center likely involves a section dealing with other testing equipment, such as X-rays.
Talks are ongoing with the state Department of Health to complate a responsible and sustainable reopening plan, the statement said. Previously, state officials said reopening a closed hospital was more involved than transferring ownership to one that remained open.
“We recognize the importance of this hospital to the residents of Sharon, Mercer County, and the surrounding region, and we are dedicated to ensuring that it stands ready to deliver exceptional healthcare services for years to come,” Savitala said.
To meet regulatory requirements to reopen requires facility evaluations, staffing assessments and safety overviews, the statement said.
Updates will be given as new milestones are reached, Savitala said.
“The community’s well-being remains Tenor Health’s foremost concern, and all parties involved — including local leadership, the medical community, and state health authorities — are unified in their commitment to restoring full, comprehensive services to Sharon Regional Medical Center as soon and as safely as possible,” she said in the statement.
Under the reopening agreement, Medical Properties Trust will continue serving as the hospital’s landlord at much of its locations.
Sharon City Manager Bob Fiscus said in a statement he was grateful the hospital was reopening.
“The city of Sharon is encouraged at the announcement that Tenor Health and MPT have reached an agreement to reopen SRMC,’’ Fiscus said. “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Radha Savitala and the entire Tenor Health team on this significant achievement.
Fiscus also thanked state Sen. Michele Brooks, R-50th District, Jamestown, for her tireless work.
Savitala thanked Sharon, the governor’s office, state Attorney General, MPT, community organizations and others.
MPT has said it was committing $10 million to reopening the hospital. A coalition of local government and non-profit organizations has tentatively pledged a separate $10 million in loans and grants to the new owner to help it reopen the hospital.
Previously she said Tenor Health Foundation would create a board that would have local members.
No employment figures were given on the hospital’s reopening. Two years ago Sharon Regional was Mercer County’s top employer with 1,400 on its payroll but in late fall that figure was slashed by half.
Its previous owner, for-profit Steward Health Care, fell into a financial abyss requiring the company to file for bankruptcy. Bankruptcy court documents said this was the last of Steward’s original 31 hospitals that were either closed or were sold.

Hi all! I’ve been trying to work out at least 3 days a week, shooting for 5, and I’m not a morning person at all so my only option is after work, but by the time I get home I am mentally and physically exhausted and most days it’s very difficult to get myself to exercise. I’m fine on weekends so I always try to get those two days in, but I am so tired on weekdays. Anyone else feel the same, and if so, any advice on pushing through and motivation?

I’m currently 28 and pregnant, my husband and I live in the apartment above his garage as we save to buy our own home probably in a year and a half and I’m not sure what to do anymore as the relationship with my dad has really suffered. I’m due in two months.
I’ve always had a complicated relationship with my dad. He wasn’t the type of father who is emotionally there. Never went to my games, played with me, or was that protective father type. He and my mom got divorced when I was young and he relied on me a lot to get better; I’ve basically been my dad’s ‘therapist’ since I was 7. He vents to me about issues that he will never get help for, he’s resentful of his parents and his ex wives and compares me to my mom a lot. (My parents had a very messy divorce and my mom cheated etc) He has serious anger issues also, and growing up I was really scared of my dad at times, my mom even locked us in the attic while he tried to kick down the door while she read us the Bible shaking, and he used to also spank us with paddles or hockey sticks. My dad taught me that emotion is weakness, and has always compared me to other women which is super weird, in highschool I was suffering from eating disorders and he would compare me to famous models and tell me he always wanted a daughter who was taller and thinner. Or would show me a model on the cover of a magazine and tell me “if you looked like her you would have no issues in life”. I have suffered with my body image my whole life due to this kind of thing. Stuff like this. So he was abusive. But would always pull me back in with money, never saying sorry but would show his affection with buying things and acting nice for a while. This up and down. He still does these things and I feel so trapped living here right now, and having to have a baby here for a year until we can afford to move out. The closer I am to becoming a mom, the more flashbacks of my childhood until now I am having and am feeling so messed up in my head and I know none of this is normal behavior but it was normalized to me for so long and I just don’t know what to do. Should I cut my father out of my life? it just keeps getting worse, and he talks to these Eastern European dating websites and keeps threatening to bring these women that he’s dating over to our home who he’s never met, and he’s getting scammed. Over Christmas I got into a big fight with him about this and he tried to kick us out, his pregnant daughter in the middle of the winter. Then acted like he never did that. He’s literally losing his mind in his delusions, and is going after women my age online and ranting to me about it and comparing me to them. It’s sick. I don’t want to have a baby here with this up and down, it doesn’t feel safe. I don’t know what to do as my husband and I can’t afford rent outside of this place as my dad gives us a cheap deal for our three bedroom here, and the only reason we can move in a few years is because I’m receiving a 200,000 dollar inheritance from my grandparents when I turn 30. I feel trapped right now. I have to walk through his part of the house getting in and out and every time I’m either being screamed at for things he makes up in his mind that I did or am doing or he rants to me about things fathers shouldn’t discuss with their daughters. Like sexual experiences he’s had, and the girls he meets online. He has a very large house so at least we live separately completely but we don’t have a separate entrance. I feel so broken and uncomfortable. What do I do.
***I’m his only biological daughter - I have 4 older brothers and an older sister (she has a different dad). His parents were also abusive to him growing up and they also fat shamed me my whole life. It’s crazy too when I’m not even a large person, I’m 5’6 and when I’m not pregnant I am like 150 pounds and an healthy and fit. When I had eating disorders I was 120 or less and still was fat shamed. A part of me loves my dad because when he wants to be he can be really nice and make me feel special as his daughter, and will for a little bit act like the dad I always wanted but he always turns. It’s a pattern I’ve been dealing with my whole life.
Just need some understanding, and advice. I feel so alone in this.

 | let me just preface this by saying i am under a cardiologist (i have POTS) and have recently been in hospital for fainting episodes (told most likely vasovagal syncope) i am not looking for a substitute for my usual care, just someone to double check my ecg (i have learnt a little over the years but not enough to properly read every detail), i was also recently (1 week ago) put on bisoprolol (beta blocker) around 7pm i felt fluttering in my chest, then passed out and since i have had this shaky feeling inside of my body, almost like my insides are vibrating, hr on apple watch is between 55 and 70 bpm i have tried to take ecgs when the fluttering has felt the worst but it is hard, this is all i’ve managed to get, if someone could just let me know if this looks all good or not i’d really appreciate it, and also out of curiosity what are the things i have circled? i presume nothing to worry about because it’s not constant but wonder what they are? Hace un mes publiqué una foto de la llave de mi SUV y algunos comentaron que estaría bien que compartiera mi experiencia después de un mes de uso.
tldr; hasta ahora todo bien, sí la recomiendo.
Primero, decir que no soy apasionado de los autos, de hecho, conozco muy pocas cosas.
Segundo, por lo anterior: no tengo idea de qué funciones que me gustan de la BYD existen en otros o en la mayoría de otras marcas.
Mis únicas referencias son: un Jetta que saqué de agencia en 2013, luego una Honda CRV que saqué de agencia en 2019 y una camioneta Cadillac que renté en un viaje.
La BYD es híbrida, porque me daba mucho tema quedarme sin electricidad en algún viaje a carretera. Hasta ahora le he metido poco más de 1200km
En un mes, sólo le he puesto 600 pesos de gasolina, con eso se llenó poco más de la mitad, y ahora dice que todavía le quedan 520km de gasolina. A la CRV le ponía 800 a la semana.
La BYD tiene la opción de manejarse completamente eléctrica o híbrida, esta última opción la pongo en carretera.
Cargarla del 25% al 100% tarda 2 horas con el cargador de pared a 220v que tengo instalado en la casa. Todavía no me llega el recibo de CFE, pero debo decir que tengo paneles solares (sfv). Cuando llegue el recibo haré una pequeña actualización esta sección.
Viene con un cargador de emergencia, que se puede conectar a cualquier enchufe/contacto/toma corrientes a 127v. Lo que me tiene incómodo es que no trae llanta de refacción, únicamente una bomba eléctrica a 12v y un líquido de esos para tapar ponchaduras.
Comparada con la CRV, lo que más me impresiona es la aceleración.
Tiene algunas jaladas que hacen la experiencia como si fuera de auto de lujo, como la opción de no usar las llaves sino el apple watch para abrirla y cerrarla. Además de controlar muchas cosas usando comandos de voz: abre el quemacocos, las ventanas, enciende el aire acondicionado, etc.
Con la app puedo ver el estado de carga, si está abierta o cerrada, la ubicación, la presión y temperatura de las llantas, encender el auto a distancia, encender el aire acondicionado y calefacción de la camioneta y de los asientos, y otras tonterías de ese estilo.
También está chido el modo crucero, porque trae esa cosa de mantenerse en el carril, acelerar o disminuir la velocidad sin que tenga que hacer nada.
Tiene cámaras por todos lados, sensores de proximidad y asistencia de estacionamiento.
Lo que no me gustó es que el faro del conductor está un poco hacia abajo, y, a veces, hace un como ruido en el pedal cuando freno; pedí que la revisaran y la siguiente semana vienen por ella.

I have a 2015 mk7 Gti Se, automatic. Yesterday the EPC light and the check engine light came on. The car would shake violently when I started it up. Then it wouldn’t start until I gave it some gas but I was able to start it and get it to the mechanic. The guy looked at it and said there’s no compression in cylinder number 4. He said that he would have to take out the cylinder to see what’s wrong which would cost $1000 and that’s just for labor. Car has 105,000 miles on it. I’m wondering what I should do. Should I take the risk and have the guy take out the cylinder? Should I go to another mechanic? Should I sell it for parts? Just trying to get some advice on what to do. Thanks!
