I've been lurking on this subreddit and want to share my story and see if anyone's had similar symptoms.
My GERD started in May 2024. I started feeling some vague heartburn after a spicy meal and noticed it happening more and more. When I saw the doctor, she prescribed a 10 day course of low dose omeprazole. I don't think my symptoms improved at all, but I had an unbearable amount of bloating. After the omeprazole, there was still some issues, but I went on a vacation in June 2024 and pretty much ate whatever I wanted and had near 0 symptoms (spicy, alcohol, you name it)
In July 2024, I had my first endoscopy, which showed very mild inflammation, as well as a small polyp, which came back with reassuring biopsy results. I was given pantoprazole 40mg to take for 2 months and while I didn't have bloating, I still had a lot of break through symptoms. Then received a follow up endoscopy in October. This endoscopy showed more inflammation, and the polyp was removed. Then, I went on Omeprazole/Pantoprazole again but now 80mg (max dose) for 3 months, before getting my most recent endoscopy. These 3 months were awful. I experienced so much bloating, and a lot of break through symptoms, and started getting symptoms when I ate non-trigger foods. When I spoke to my GI doc, she told me that my best bet was being as strict as possible with taking PPI 30min before meals, not eating any trigger foods, eating multiple small meals, etc. I promise I tried every single thing I could. I became very good about taking the PPI 30 mins before breakfast (was more difficult with dinner) and cutting out as many of my personal triggers as possible (especially spicy foods, tomatoes/citrus, alcohol, and limiting things like chocolate to once or twice a week). I'm still really bad with eating small meals multiple times a day because I'm in school and it's tough with my schedule. And somehow I still had near daily break through symptoms, mostly centered around heavy bloating. What I weirdly noticed though was that when I forgot to take the PPI, I had a fine time eating and didn't get super bloated. In addition, for context, I have a pretty bad living situation right now, and notice that I feel a lot better when I eat while I'm on vacation or eat out (interestingly). Home cooked food just messes with my stomach really bad, even though it has the most restrictions.
Fast forward to my most recent endoscopy about a week ago. There was no esophageal inflammation, which means the PPI probably worked out. So I was told to switch to Pantoprazole 40mg (morning) + Famotidine 20mg (nightly). I've been on this for a week now and I feel absolutely awful. Super bloated all the time, lots of burping, etc. The doc said that I need pH testing to see if this could potentially be esophageal hypersensitivity. I'm just feeling very very stressed out and have no idea what's going on. I'm here because I want to know if anyone else has struggled with similar symptoms of bloating, or has found that they feel better when eating out or like eating on vacation. Honestly any advice helps as well!

Dúvidas: 1 - É uma boa trabalhar em cubatão e morar em Santos? 2 - É possível morar em Cubatão ou é bairro industrial (Fiz busca de apartamento e casa para alugar e não encontre muita coisa)? 3 - Custo de vida para homem solteiro em um apartamento, casa ou loft padrão/bom em Santos ou em uma região boa para morar e trabalhar em cubatão?
PS: gosto de academia e jiu-jitsu. Seria ideal morar em uma região que tivesse boas opções desses lazeres.

I’m bright, I think I’ll be able to get into a great uni and a good job. But I cant imagine myself being happily married as if I opt for a love marriage my family will cut ties with me and if I opt for an arranged one I’ll probably be unhappy. Just thinking about it fills me with dread.

Just wanting to know what others have done to get out of the trade & make better money. I never really wanted to be a mechanic but due to life circumstances & both parents passing away before I graduated highschool I had to hop into something that would pay “okay” which I make 30$ an hour as it is right now at a pretty good shop but my interest isn’t really in mechanic work like it never really has been. I’m entirely unsure what my interest would be in as I was just focused on surviving for the longest. I’m 24 as of right now so I’m sure the pay would go up the older I get but it isn’t entirely about the money, yah know. Thanks to anybody who comments advice in advance!

My parents surprised us a few years back, by announcing they had put down a deposit on a villa in a new retirement village development.
Now, they’ve always been a bit of a target for sales people, but only because they expect everyone has good intentions, bless them. They trust everything they’re told, including the urgency to “get in quick,” which the village operator had told them, as the villas were “selling fast.” Compounding things, they then took the advice of their real estate agent to sell their fairly recent new build via auction, just before the election.
Long story short – they are financially all-in on this villa. I know they’re in trouble, but fortunately, they seem to be having a great time. The social scene is vibrant and it is a nice, quiet, safe environment.
The quiet is a bit of a surprise though, as when my siblings and I had first inspected the new place, our eyes had been popping out of our heads taking in the density and proximity of identical villas, with very little privacy in-between. However, after a recent visit, I can see why, as – taking a walk around the village – many of the villas are empty. In my parents' greater area, it felt like maybe 40% occupancy, with residents dotted about the place.
Now, the developers are planing on building perhaps another three times the exisiting units, based on their map displayed at the entrance. So, what happens if there aren’t any more buyers?

Hello friends! 👋 New here - possibly too soon, possibly just on time. (No official DOR diagnosis yet.)
32F with a whopping 0.11 AMH…
I currently see an endo for hypothyroidism and she ran this test last week to check in on PCOS. My husband and I have been considering having a second child, endo was recommending loosing a little more weight first and waiting longer, and I’m not sure how this result changes any of that because it’s been crickets from the office since the results were released in the portal 4 days ago.
I had my first born in 2022 after 4-5 months TTC. Uncertain if low AMH was an issue then or not. I am not close to my dad’s side of the family but I have heard my aunts have all gone through early menopause and I know 2 of my cousins on that side have gone through IVF. Could be coincidental, but figured I’d toss that in.
Anyways, I’ve learned a lot from lurking but wanted to ask for advice for someone just starting out on this journey.
Our TTC timeline was either have a kid in the next few months or be happy as a family of 3 because we don’t want too big of an age gap. We really weren’t expecting this so I’m really kicking myself for not thinking about trying soon.
With that in mind, I want to make sure I’m seeing all the right doctors and getting all the right tests done to rule out issues and escalate ASAP. Also extremely worried about early menopause. My cycles have been very off the past 6+ months (21days to 30days - very heavy day 1 and then quickly fading off to nothing - mid cycle spotting for the first time I ever noticed).
I’ll take any words of wisdom yall got 😩
