2025.01.24 00:28 untablesarah Secrets: An Avatar Story
In 2023 my friend and I started crafting characters, plot, and a myriad of memes and inside jokes for a fanfiction series. We’re very excited to have posted the first three chapters and have much of the first “book” already drafted.
This is set about 20 years before Aang is unfrozen in the Earth Kingdom and follows an original cast.
Main characters who will have POV are: Shuzen: A swordsman from Kyoshi Island. He’s a pretty good cook and a not-so-creative liar. Vanda: The youngest daughter of the governor of the Eastern Earth Kingdom. She loves ostrich-horses and has some masterful brushwork.
Not-yet-introduced: Lotus: The oldest daughter of the governor of the Eastern Earth Kingdom. She’s an Earth Bender by birth, but she can’t stand dirt. Flint: A rookie Dai-Li agent handpicked for a delicate mission who can’t keep his eyes to himself.
Summary: An inexperienced bodyguard and their hapless charge make their way across the Earth Kingdom together. However, not every threat of the mainland wears its danger openly and sometimes it takes more than strength of arms to save a life.
Rating: M/R: Less graphic than Game of Thrones, but more gritty the The Hunger Games.

I tried google but nothing came close to what I’m asking.
I’m currently dealing with the strong winds in Southern California and it’s at the point that I cannot control my vehicle in the wind at highway speeds (never more than 75 even when it’s not windy). I watch the vehicles around me and similar sized sedans don’t appear to have the same issue fighting the wind. It often feels like the front drivers side tire is wobbling independently from the other front tire - when the wind hits the driver side of the car, it feels like the tire is wobbling in a top to bottom motion (think of the way a loose rolling tire wobbles before falling over).
There’s an audible rattling behind that wheel when going slowly over a bumpy road and severe edge wear on that tire. The steering wheel moves side to side when going over something a like a speed bump but the steering is already loose and sloppy.
I had that front strut replaced and the alignment done in November. It was aligned again in December where the front drivers side and back passenger side were out of spec. It was balanced prior to installing the strut due to some of the weights falling off my wheels. Both rear wheel bearings have been replaced. Tires are oldish, the last safety report I’ve found said I had 6/32? Prior to replacing the strut, I was having to get an alignment every three months.
A chain tire shop said nothing’s wrong with the suspension. The dealership said nothing’s wrong with the suspension. But something is severely wrong with it. Any insight on where to start would be awesome, thanks.

My husband and I can't agree on a name and truthfully we don't love any name. Here are some of the names we are considering what do you think and can you suggest some more? 1.Starly Reeve or reese (we don't like the meaning of Reeve but think it sounds cool. But also afraid it's too kiddy) 2. Tilly My husband likes that it has a strong meaning 3. Adeline (Addie) Just don't like how common it is 4. Arabelle My husband doesn't like it 5. Aurelia I don't like this name it's a mouth full 6. Loxsyn My husband hates this name I just think it looks cool Do we just give up on finding a name we love and settle for a basic name? I really don't like names in the top 1000 and my husband really wants a strong name but I'm 35 weeks pregnant so time is ticking!

2025.01.24 00:28 fossy007 My 1960’s PAT-38X 15”Triaxials
Recapped the original crossovers and they are in custom EV Regency style folded horn cabinets. Scored these for $350 with about 20 hours of restoration time invested. They are my endgame speakers. I also have a pair of PF-40 curved horns connected to the midrange output on the crossover because I’m a mid junkie and I like the looks. The bass from a folded horn will rattle my house it’s insane but yet so smooth.

I swear to god if i see this sentiment one more time i’m going to lose my mind. pepperidge farm remembers when people used to clown on the Nats for deferring hella money. now the dodgers have basically build a dynasty on top of deferrals. don’t get me started on reporters salivating all over the Dodgers’ so called savvy.
