Hi all. Hoping for some help. My house has these two dwarf Leptospermum Lemon Hedge shrubs planted two feet away from the house. We are on highly reactive soil here (clay) and I'm always concerned about my foundation! These are just about fully grown height wise. I've been trimming between it and the wall mostly to spot any termite activity. I have the gutter there leading moisture away from the house which theoretically should encourage the roots to go that way however I am unable to find much info online about if it's safe to leave these plants here or if risk to foundation is too high and I should attempt to transplant them another couple feet forward. Would really love some feedback. These are the only plants in the ground against the house. Every thing else is in pots. Appreciate any help.

I'm working with some biological surveys (abundance of birds species), and for each site we had different sample sizes. As it happens with fieldwork, having the same samples was not possible because of logistics. We're trying to see monthly variability of abundance per site.
So is the only way to deal with unequal sample sizes weighted means? Or is there a way to "standardize" the data itself?
Someone told me that because the abundances can be summed by month, therefore we can "standardize" by simply dividing the sum by the sample size, but I'm not sure if this is right. I've been trying to search about this to see if it is actually right but I have only found about weighted means to deal with this issue. I'm sorry for the very basic question, my stats education is a bit lacking.

2025.01.24 05:20 Vauldr Asics metaspeed edge/sky paris or superblasts for marathon BQ?
After reading a bit on all of these options I'm curious what the hive mind thinks!
Some background on me: I'm looking to run my 5th marathon this spring, aiming for a BQ. I want to take my 3:32 from New York down to a whooping 3:20...at least that's my big (BIG) goal. New York is hilly, my next marathon is pan flat (Glass City in Ohio). I have run all of my marathons up to this point in New Balance 1080's (aka heavy and high cushion) shoes. I have been working the Asics novablasts 4 into my shoe rotation and quite like the feel of them, so I'm looking into some faster Asics options (but also open to other brands/options). My store does not always carry men's size 8 in stock (I'm a women who needs wider due to bunions), so whatever I try they have to order specifically for me...so I can't reasonably ask them to order everything at once. Just looking for a shoe to give me that little edge (training is already looking good for hitting my goals!).
Current shoe rotation: NB1080v14 (used for easy/recovery when I want bricks on my feet), Brooks Glycerin 21 (feels like the old New Balance 1080v12, love for easy/recovery), Asics Novablast 4 (love, 5's on standby), and altra torrin 7 (loooooove running in them, but rip my calves 2 days after).
Some running info: cadence is 180-185spm across all zones except recovery/z1 (when I'm going reeeeeally slow my gait slows down a bit). I used to be a heel striker, but have shifted to mid foot (can be seen from the wear on the bottom of my shoes, I hit hardest right under my big toe). When speeding up I increase my stride length not my cadence. I am used to running in shoes with more cushion (NB1080). I had a stress fracture in my second metatarsal on my left foot in 2023, which is why I have been in high-cushion land for awhile (aka shoes that put a lot of pressure there are a no go...even though I'm healed I'm still protective!).
Now, why the two shoes listed above? The meta speeds look like a good first carbon option for me BUT are they too much shoe? Would the superblasts be a better option, or should I not bother for something that's kinda in-between? Should I just run my marathon in the novablasts? Or, do you have an idea for a shoe that might suit me better (note that I have bunions and tiny little toe boxes will lead to sadness). Thoughts please!

When aiming down and air blasting it will send enemys up into the air. While using the force of nature and shooting someone's lower legs while up against their hit ox it will send the person flying back. Can someone tell me when they made these changes or what's going on here? Did they mess with the knockback in any of the recent updates after jungle inferno?

Started with around 79 radiant and 27k astrites (only pulled for XY weapon inbetween, nothing else). Lost 2 50/50s but the guaranteed came very early so all good. Bought S6 at the shop.
