 | Basically what the title says. I purchased a white cyclone 2 and loved it. After a while I started to really wish the gold trim wasn’t there and that’s when I saw a cyclone 2 listing on Ali for a good price so I bought another one in black. I switched them on buttons, dpad, bumpers, bumper plate assembly, and joystick caps. For the black one I threw on third party caps I had lying around as I think it looks better, plus the transparent material of them lets some of the RGB through. I’m really happy with how the white one looks now! The black one is also cool looking IMO but I’m going to main the white one for now. Thought I’d put this here.
As someone who is in business and responsible for leading a team of nearly 50 employees, I want to add my 2c to the businesses forcing their employees to work today.
Today is one of the extremely rare “Red warnings” that pose a likely risk to the lives of those travelling today.
As a manager, leader or business owner, forcing your employees to work today is going to do more harm to your business than allowing your employees a day at home to shelter.
If we want to take this from a purely business perspective, Scottish people will see your business in a poor light and forcing this will harm your brand. This will cost your business more in the long run than allowing employees to work from home today as a percentage of your customers will likely choose to boycott your brand.
In addition to this, you will burn goodwill with your employees potentially causing people to exit your business. This will cause you to incur recruiting costs, retraining costs and the inevitable mistakes a new employee makes while they gain experience in their new role (these mistakes are great learning opportunities and not necessarily a bad thing for your employee but will cost you either in client satisfaction or monetarily).
Your people are the lifeblood that keeps your business operating and having employees knowing you care about their welfare will increase their productivity more than any Friday pizza party ever will.
Forcing an employee in today will do your business harm in the medium to long term.
If your industry is critical to the safety of others, offering the option for people to make the choice will go a long way to mitigating these as you have consulted with your employee and given the choice, an informed choice.

As mentioned plenty of times on this subreddit, 9s notoriously have a hard time getting to the bottom of why they may be upset by the time they figure out they’re actually upset. I figured my current situation is a good example.
I’m a student at university and this year I wanted to be more social. I’d like to think I succeeded, but one of the uncomfortable parts about being more social is then having to catch myself from accidentally going along with someone else’s wants. For example, my friends wanting me to rush for a fraternity with them.
I’ve always been pretty avoidant of fraternities and sororities. But the Rush events were optional, there was a chance I wouldn’t even get a bid, and the events offered were just dinner games with friends so sure. I still dug my heels in a bit, sometimes saying I’d leave early but I’d actually end up staying a little longer than planned.
That was fine. That was fun! Then spring semester came, after I’d received a bid and my friend dropped it in the acceptance box for me. And since then it’s been a lot of meetings, and mandatory events, and memorizing rules. And behind the scenes there’s been drama, which I wasn’t aware of until my friends told me. One of the biggest obstacles in me getting closer with people has been when drama comes up I zone out or leave the conversation. It seems exhausting and I want nothing to do with it, but at the same time it seems a pretty big deal in this setting for being close with people I guess.
I’ve noticed slowly that I’ve been in a lower mood recently. Well I didn’t notice it at first. I blamed it on winter and having extra blankets in my bed means wanting to get out of it less. I’ve continuously ghosted more and more people over the phone. Stuff like that. But it seems like a lot of my peers are going through it right now, so again maybe it’s just adjusting to the new schedule.
But then Tuesday came where a classmate saw the people doing frat stuff and she jokingly told me “I didn’t know you were joining the cult!” I laughed and moved on, but later my friends pulled me aside to tell me some girl had called us a cult. Yeah she was talking to me, I replied, she was joking around. She wasn’t being malicious, that’s just how she is. But they took it personally, and even told others in the fraternity.
And since then Ive grown even less responsive, agitated internally.
By definition she wasn’t wrong anyways. Whether you look at the base definition or the added negative connotation to the term “cult” isn’t that to an extent what a fraternity is?
Maybe I have an advantage of having lived in a “cult” environment for most of my life (grew up Christian in a Christian school) but I’d argue that the sensitive denial of the cult statement only comes across as proving the point. There’s a REASON I was hesitant and still am to ever rush for a fraternity.
When the pledge initiation ceremony consists of a dark room with candles and people watching you, where I recite things over and over, I think it’s natural that my “ I’ve been here before and didn’t like it” alarm bells are gonna go off!
Looking at some of the rules like not complaining or questioning any reasonable task, the members are always right, making it a lifelong commitment- I’d say calling it a cult as a joke is fair!
I realized my friends insistence on denying the statement unnerved me because it reminds me of what it was like in that Christian school. A large part of my hesitation throughout this whole process is that when reading such rules or being reminded “this is mandatory you can’t leave” I feel similarly to how I felt back then. I feel uncomfortable, I guess like my autonomy is being threatened, even though I’m an adult and can stop all of it.
I am having fun hanging out with friends and doing fun crafts. Overall I’m doing well, but it’s these things that have been making me crave more naps.
No thoughts on how I’m going to respond to this yet, but I thought it was interesting

Hi, wahrscheinlich etwas klischeebehaftet das in dieser Community zu posten. Ich selbst bin IT-Fremd, hätte mir die Blödheit aus dem Titel aber bis gerade selbst nicht zugetraut. Ich bekam eine DM auf Instagram von einem Account, der sich als Meta ausgab und mir eine bevorstehende Sperre ankündigte (jaa ich weiß, man sollte meinen, dass darauf nur 60+ Jährige reinfallen... keine Ahnung was in dem Moment mit mir los war. Ist mir noch nie passiert. Ich lag noch im Bett und war ziemlich schlaftrunken, in Gedanken aber schon bei bevorstehenden Terminen). Ich hab den Link angeklickt und kam auf eine Seite, die einen ChatBot von "Meta" zeigte - dort könne ich mich beschweren und Einspruch einlegen. Das habe ich nicht getan und habe die Seite sofort wieder verlassen, habe mir den Account erstmal angeschaut und dann auch kapiert, dass es offensichtlich Phishing ist.
Warum auch immer beginnt spätestens jetzt Einsteins Definition von Wahnsinn. Nun wissend, dass es sich um Phishing handelt, wollte ich mir die Seite nochmal anschauen und habe den Link noch einmal geöffnet - diesmal jedoch mit tatsächlich anderem Ergebnis: Ich sollte mich mit meinem Google Account einloggen (was ich selbstverständlich nicht getan habe). Daraufhin habe ich den Account gemeldet und blockiert, den Cache und die Daten der Instagram App gelöscht sowie die App neu installiert.
Wie hoch würdet ihr das Sicherheitsrisiko hier einschätzen? Sollte ich noch weitere Schritte unternehmen?
Daaanke im Voraus und echt Respekt an alle, die sich sowas regelmäßig im first level support geben müssen :)
