Hi team, I'm departing Hong Kong airport flying Cathay with the wife and two kids (5yo and 11yo). As a Qantas platinum member, I understand I will have access to the various lounges (The Pier, Qantas Lounge). However, I'm unsure of whether I can bring all 3 of them with me. I have a vague recollection from about 8 years ago being told that I could only bring 1 guest into the Cathay Lounge, but can't remember if I was gold or platinum at the time. Any recent similar experience or tips would be greatly appreciated. Eg can I get my wife into 1 lounge and take the kids to a different lounge? Do they scan just the boarding pass or also my passport? Does the Qantas lounge allow me more guests? Thanks 🙏

2025.01.24 09:48 ImbissBrunto [SPOILER] Just finished the game. That definitely was an experience!

Beware: This will contain spoilers!
After almost two months and 75 hours played I‘ve just finished Death Stranding last night and would like to share some of my thoughts.
First of all, besides Bloodborne and Shadow of the Colossus, DS is easily the most unique game I‘ve ever played.
Unfortunately it also confirmed my opinion of Hideo Kojima in the sense that I consider him to be an amazing artist with a great sense of style and visual aesthetics but as a writer he‘s pretty lackluster imo.
On the one hand DS is probably the most visually stunning game I have ever played. The graphics and animations are incredible, the world looks absolutely gorgeous and I also really liked the futuristic sci-fi theme and architecture. I also loved the soundtrack (thanks for introducing me to Low Roar and Silent Poets, Hideo!) and general atmosphere. It has a level of attention to detail that‘s remarkable, even when compared to other AAA games.
On the other hand the story took a long time for me to get interesting. I was immediately hooked at the beginning but I think the part from episode 4 up to the end of episode 9 were a drag. It really picked up the pace after the confrontation with Higgs, though.
Generally speaking imo a lot of the dialogue sounded pretty unnatural (i.e. Deadman submerging you in exposition dialogue at the opening scene). I also found a lot of the parts involving Higgs incredibly cringeworthy. Like he was written in an almost cartoonish supervillain-type of way.
Besides that I almost got second hand embarassment from some of the cutscenes because of how overly melodramatic they were (the cutscene at the end of chapter 5 involving Mama & Lockne comes to mind).
It seemed to me that Hideo Kojima tried to put too many things into the game. If you read the e-mails and interviews he alludes to all kind of things, ranging from astrophysics to spirituality up to Franz Kafka. But imo some of these things didn‘t really add anything the narrative and it seemed more like name-dropping to me.
He also beats you over the head with the message that technology has seperated us and that we need to work together again over and over again in a not so subtle way that could have been done in a more elegant way. I generally think the guy desperately needs an editor who helps him to streamline his ideas a bit.
Some of the gameplay was quite lackluster to me as well. The boss fights felt pretty bland and the BB mechanic was one of the most ridiculous things I‘ve ever seen in a game.
Yet in spite of all these things I consider flaws I couldn’t stop playing the game because I wanted to see where the story goes and because I was so immersed in its fictional universe. I was on the verge of giving up during the middle part after chapter 3 but I‘m glad I didn‘t.
It‘s kind of hard to explain but altogether I‘d say DS is one of the most profound gaming experiences I‘ve ever had. This really was a completely new IP and something that‘s never been done before.
And for that alone I‘m glad that guys like Hideo Kojima exist, who have the guts to go against the grain and create something truly unique, especially in the AAA market. We need more games like Death Stranding in times where most big publishers are playing it safe by relying on sequels of established franchises.

My current headcannon until revealed otherwise is that Loki is a grey character and will be an ally.
In ch 1137, he was definitely being portrayed as one (valiant struggle, animals caring for him and vice versa). I believe Harald was trying to sell elbaf out to the WG or atleast making some deal to give them control over it. Loki found out about it, and did what he had to do. But he was misunderstood and the entire elbaf turned against him, thus causing the current situation.
I also believe that Shanks knows about this. Shanks probably defeated Loki, which earned him respect of the giants. But shanks probably knows more and made a deal or something with Loki.
Of course, we don't know what oda might be cooking, but this is my headcannon until the manga reveals otherwise

The Republican-controlled US Congress is moving on legislation that would authorize wide-ranging sanctions on the Palestinian government and any international partner that has aided its terrorist payment program, known as "pay-to-slay," according to a copy of the bill obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

Palestinian Authority payments to imprisoned terrorists and their families rose by $2 mil a month in wake of Oct. 7
The Palestinian government pays around $16 million a month to imprisoned terrorists, including nearly 900 Gaza-based Hamas fighters captured in the wake of Oct. 7, according to estimates.

Republicans in the House and Senate jointly introduced the bill with broad backing, signaling that the measure is an early priority in both legislative chambers. The legislation would impose sanctions on the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) for providing millions of dollars to imprisoned terrorists and their families. It also would sanction any "foreign persons" known to facilitate these payments or help the Palestinian government administer the program.
Tom Cotton (R., Ark.) is shepherding the bill in the Senate, with Mike Lawler (R., N.Y.) introducing the House version. Eight Senate Republican leaders, including Texas's Ted Cruz, South Carolina's Lindsey Graham, Florida's Rick Scott, North Carolina's Ted Budd, and Tennessee's Bill Hagerty, are also backing the bill.
The measure is likely to garner broad support in the GOP-controlled House, which has already moved on separate legislation to sanction the International Criminal Court for its persecution of Israel on the international stage. In the Senate, it would need at least some Democratic support to cross the upper chamber's 60-vote threshold. Both parties overwhelmingly supported a similar 2018 law, the Taylor Force Act, which forced the American government to freeze Palestinian aid until the terrorist payments program ends.
The latest bill, dubbed the PLO and PA Terror Payments Accountability Act, builds on the 2018 law by sanctioning not just the Palestinian government but its international enablers, a provision that could impact foreign financial institutions and the United Nations, which provides financial resources to both the PLO and PA.
"Despite the enactment of the Taylor Force Act, the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority have continued their system of compensation that incentivizes, encourages, rewards, and supports acts of terrorism," the bill states.
In an attempt to build further pressure on the Palestinian government, the legislation targets a host of affiliated entities that have helped keep cash flowing to imprisoned terrorists. Those entities include: the Commission of Prisoners and Released Prisoners, the Institute for the Care of the Families of the Martyrs and the Wounded, the Palestine National Fund, and the National Association of the Families of the Martyrs of Palestine.
Sanctions, meanwhile, would be applied on any foreign financial institution that facilitates transactions on the Palestinian government’s behalf.
"The Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organization continue to support terrorism against Israel by providing hundreds of millions of dollars per year in their reprehensible ‘pay-for-slay’ program," Cotton told the Free Beacon. "Anti-Semitic Palestinian terrorists know they can expect payment as a reward for killing Israelis and Americans—with thousands of Palestinian terrorists tied to October 7 eligible for these terror payments."

Has anybody ever applied for a business loan in the US through SBA? I am making my business plan and I do find it really draining for a solo-preneur, I have an S-corp and I run my own payroll, I do want to get solid funding to focus on a project that I feel has a good market for profit, all I really want to know is about others getting their loan on SBA, the steps, interest rate, average period and the pros and cons.
Besides covid loans of course, covid loans through SBA were much easier to apply for.

Короче, я живу в квартире, на первом этаже, и походу у нас в подвале дома завелись какие то мелкие пидорасы прыгающие(что то типа блох), которые кусаются и после них все чешется. Проявились они ещё давненько, но потом угомонились(видимо в спячку свалились хз, прям перед зимой перестали лезть), думал вымерли эти гандоны, но нет, только что сидел физику писал, и чувствую что то на шею прыгает, я испугался, думал это цепочка меня так напугала, или шерсть кота упала, но нет, посмотрел на ноги, а они искусаны и чешутся. Пробовали этих гадов белезной травить, но им вроде как похуй, либо их там миллионы просто
В общем, кто с таким сталкивался, напишите как вы с ними справились, или совет дайте, а то не в кайф ходить с искусанными ляшками.
