Can anyone here relate to this?
I have this absolute hatred of spending time alone. I don’t mean that I need someone with me 24/7, but say for example I’m alone for a few hours, or my partner goes away for a few days with work I feel so shit. Its a feeling I find hard to articulate and I’ve explored it a bit with my psychologist.
It’s almost a feeling of being completely invisible, vulnerable and just not wanted/needed. Its almost as if I need people around me all the time or I don’t exist, or matter. Its a very uncomfortable feeling and I know it’s not right or suitable as an adult to expect endless reassurance or company from people.
My mother has little tolerance for spending time alone and cannot deal with it. She was incredibly dependent on my Dad/her 3 children for endless company, and I remember this from a young age so the psychologist wonders if theres a link here.
Its a feeling of such deep loneliness. God I hate my brain.

As the title says. I am giving up on the 7-99 challenge. I can't bring myself to keep at this heightened level of stress from 7-5 to 99. My PB is 7-30 and made more CO entires than I can count, I just don't have the fortitude to go the distance, and it's depressing. I've found it a better situation to not continue with Spelunky's 7-99 challenge.
Feel free to share your CO experiences - I've seen some of you clear the 7-99 with under half my game time. I would not like this post to discourage any newcomers from attempting the challenge either. I believe in you

Just wanted to give some hope to those who are struggling with their partner after birth, or those who are embarking the journey and afraid to loose your partner in the process. We had a rough start with a baby who still wakes up twice a night at 6 months - very much a contact bubba. I said from the start that we needed some conversations to make it clear with how we distribute the work and it was a tough conversation with quite a few arguments and some occasions of how the hell do we do this. But I have to say, amongst sleep deprivation, stress at being back at work. Teeth coming in and head colds from day care - we have figured out how to do it together and equally. But even more so, I have fallen even deeper in love with my partner and I think he has with me too. I think seeing your partner in a new light as a mum or dad really pulls on your heart strings. I've never felt more seen or appreciated! We didn't have sex more than a handful of times over a year because of pregnancy & post partum issues but that's coming back too. So hey, there is a light at the end of the tunnel - keep your eyes out for the switch so you can flick it on ☺️
