My brother-in-law decided he wanted to start on TRT. I have personally been on it for about 9 months and have been an avid researcher reading articles, watching videos from different doctors, tried a few different clinics for buying supplies, plus follow forums almost daily on people talking about hormones. I have been able to help friends start their journey and so far so good for them.
Yet, my brother-in-law knew I was on TRT and he initially asked me a lot of questions, which was great and I gave him a lot of data that I have learned, plus gave him the rundown on where I go for my supplies and bloodwork. At family dinner tonight he told me he started and I was happy for him, until he told me what he was doing, which was completely opposite of everything I told him.
He went to a primary care doctor that another one of his family members uses, which she takes his insurance for TRT. This lady to me doesn't sound like a hormone specialist, decided to start him off by selling him a standard 10ml 200mg/ml bottle of test cyp, which she keeps on hand so that he comes in for a shot ONCE every 14 days to get 1ml of test injected.
I immediately told him that is way too long of a period to go in between shots and that he should pin himself at least twice per week, which is a popular standard. I said your estrogen is probably going to climb pretty high doing that and he will have some side effects, plus probably not going to feel great that second week, while shutting down his natural production. He's only had 1 shot and insisted his whole life has changed for the better, which I told him is probably majority placebo but maybe some real effects because he started out high and didn't titrate up. He doesn't seemed concerned at all about most of it and says he'll monitor his bloodwork, which is in 3 months per his doctors recommendation. Yet, he expressed that he's worried about his HCT getting too high because he knows guys on TRT that have that problem, so I expressed that hydration and bloodwork in 6 weeks at least would be a better idea but he just shrugged it off and said he'll go with that doctors advice for now.

 | I have had my 2022 EUV Bolt for less than 2 years and I have recieved this error 4 times, each rendering the vehicle unable to charge. 3 of these have been since mid December 2024. Was told in December the battery died and needed to be replaced (as in the first time as well). Ok. Last Friday it gave me this error again. I called dealership, they had it towed to their lot in Halifax. No rental vehicle until Monday when they re-opened. I've been told in December that they can't give a rental until they see it/diagnosis it but I'm also not allowed to drive it. So I'm stranded until whenever they can for me in. Wednesday they say battery is fine but it was error code U3636 which just effects hybrids which mine is not. Says it's super rare but my bolt has been recalibrated and it's fine now. Would really be surprised if it happened again. Well now, be prepared to be amazed! This evening, exact same error. I just got it back, i was just told it was fine. I honestly don't know what to do with it. It scares me to drive a car that can be unable to take a charge at anytime, potentially leaving me stranded. I'm without a vehicle days at a time until a rental can be procured. I'm out the money for the rentals gas. I'm out the money having to pay for drives into town to even get the rental. I'm out money for not being able to pick up extra shifts at work. I honestly don't know what to do. As of now, I work a 12 hour night shift, have to stay around until 7am and hope they can take it today and give me a rental today, so I can even get home. 2025.01.24 06:43 Honest_Lobster_543 Things are changing and I don’t know what to do
So over the last few weeks my job has had openings for other buildings. I am currently a supervisor which is a step below a manager. One of the positions is at another building to be a manager. Another is open at my building as facilities but it’s half here and half at another cause ours is so small. I applied for both but feel more confident in one over the other. One I like the hours more than the other. This position at my current place only opened up cause my mentor (dare I even say friend) took a position at a brand new building in facilities.
I needed to sit down and talk with him and my GM at my current location to see what to do and how confident I should feel cause I don’t like change and I get so overwhelmed by the thought of it. During the conversation I acknowledged that my GM may also be leaving for another building too but I didn’t know for sure so that also was causing me to overthink and be anxious. The GM started to laugh and told me that day she accepted a job at a new location.
So in the span of 2 weeks I am dealing with changes in significant ways that I don’t really think I am handling well. I feel hollow. I feel like no one really wants to understand. There is change happening regardless of what I do. I could get the hourly manager job and change buildings, I can get the facilities job and have to split time at the place I’m at now and another building (which I feel a little ill prepared for), if I don’t get either I still have to deal with getting a new GM at my current location anyways.
I don’t really know what I’m gonna get out of this but I just needed to put this out there. Im losing 2 people who, even if they don’t fully understand, I care for and consider friends in a way. It’s hard to find people you can be friends with when you are an adult. I’m not comfortable with change and it’s a lot right now. I feel like I need a hug that last for hours but I really don’t know how to cope at the moment.

I have a metabo 18 gauge finish nailer that isn’t performing how I’d like it to it is not that old maybe 2 years. I tried my buddies who has a rigid 18 gauge finish nailer and it shot with some real power like a piston it felt smooth and sharp seeing rigid I assumed it would be worse. It ended up being way better. I tried my grandpa‘s old senior 18 gauge finish nailer that I gave to my brother and once again that fired 100 times better than my metabo. I’m over the metabo I bought the best one they had it’s a POS. Any recommendations ?? Corded / pneumatic nailers only!!! Im shooting through hemlock doing a T&G ceiling
