hello I am finishing up a training contract with a national firm in the regions, my friend has introduced me to a recruiter who she says is really good and helped her get her current job, very helpful with interview prep etc. This recruiter has years of experience and seems to be a "career recruiter" with lots of recommendations on LinkedIn but has not responded since I sent her my CV last week. Another one has also messaged me and we have talked about the same job. This one seems quite green, has only been a recruiter for a few months so i dont think he will be as helpful as the other one, he also did not seem as knowledgeable about my practice area when I spoke to him compared to the other one, but he is very responsive, always replies very quickly. I would much rather prefer to work with the first recruiter due to her experience and knowledge, is it impolite to message her to chase?

40年前，鄧小平在葉劍英的支持下，打倒「四人幫」接掌權力，啟動中國的改革開放後，立刻在1980年代啟動了對台灣的「和平攻勢」。
首先，鄧小平透過葉劍英在1981年10月1日發表了帶有「一國兩制雛形」的《葉九條》，又派出密使在香港穿梭，邀請蔣經國到香港或在公海上艦艇相見，想要來一場「鄧蔣會」。
當時，蔣經國知道鄧小平的攻勢，就是一直想要招降自己，雖然共產黨有很多「讓利」，但蔣經國神智清晰，甩都不甩。李光耀自己提過，鄧小平百般誘惑都無法打動蔣經國，於是就委請新加坡李光耀到台灣來勸蔣經國，蔣經國還是 「No、No、No！」李光耀於是告訴蔣經國：「你現在只有兩條路可以走，一個路就是接受鄧小平條約跟他和好，另外一條路就是走你老爸的路，就是反共到底。」
沒想到，蔣經國斷然回絕說：「光耀兄你搞錯了，我還有第三個選擇，走我自己的路。台灣的命運絕不能讓中共決定。」
從此之後，蔣經國更強化「革新保台」政策，鼓吹「自己的國家自己救、自己的道路自己開」，中華民國和台灣的前途，從1980代開始，原本充滿「白色恐怖執行者」色彩的蔣經國搖身一變，不但加速推動台灣經濟起飛，厚植國力自立自強，還啟動了自造戰機和國防自主，捍衛中華民國之獨立自主，「革新保台」，開創了「反武統自保」之歷史契機。

2025.01.24 11:12 Intro-Nimbus Kaldor PC Noble families suitable for political ties into the crisis
I have a question: I'm preparing to start a Kaldor campaign - and unless everything derails - to continue into the succession crisis. My plan is to have all the characters start as nobles, via birth or marriage, and I intend to set the tone by playing through "Earl's progress" as a good way to set the political scene both on a local and national level. This way the characters, at least via their families or family ties, will have a stake in the outcome. This places the characters in Minerva, and I'm wondering if you have any advice on what families I should suggest to my PC's when they make their characters? I would like to set the scene for my players and then let them decide freely whether they want to act on opportunities/threats considering themselves, their relatives, and/or any estates affected by the crisis. I'm thinking that it grounds the campaign a bit if you hear news of a siege of a castle in kaldor and realise that it's fathefather's liege that is sieging/besieged when you're off adventuring in Orbaal, and I would also like the station of the character to mean something tangible - to expand "adventuring" into the social and political scene. Any suggestions or advice is welcome.
