Just wanted to share my story here. I 27M living in the UK and my gf 23F who lives in Canada have been together for 5 years. We met online and I went to Canada to meet her as soon as I could get a flight. I've been regularly flying out there to visit her every year.
Me and her mom who is a single parent get on a lot. As she's the only person that understood the hardships I had to go through when my dad left our lives, and I had to start working as soon as I finished college to help out around the house. Her two siblings and I get along really well too, they consider be to be their older brother and I try to make sure there childhood does not end up like mines but making sure they have everything they need. In 2024 summer, my gf came to visit my family before she started med school, before this visit she kept saying she thinks my mum doesn't like her but every time I confronted my mum about it she always said "I do like her think of her as my daughter as well" so I thought everything was fine. When she came my mum and stepdad were welcoming at first but my mum seemed off. I come from a Muslim family and she wanted to make sure my gf had some sort of head covering but to me I wasn't that fussed about that because I know she always dresses modestly. My gis family wanted to explore the UK as they spent a lot of money to come here. I was showing them around everywhere, we asked my mum and my little sister 25F to join but she kept saying no she didn't want to come along.
My mum’s mood always seemed off and it was like they were nobodies to her, barely talked to my gf and said my gf was more interested in talking with her siblings than her. My gf even met my uncles and my nan, as my gf is very cultural, she sang and played the piano for them as she wanted them to like her. My uncles loved her my nan was a bit standoffish.
In our culture if the eldest grandson’s potential wife comes there's normally like a lot of food good and suck as but instead, they just ordered peri peri which my gf couldn't eat as it was too spicy. My fallout happened when my mum sat down with her family and was talking about our marriage.
Now my mum wants us to get married asap which is understandable in certain aspects due to our religion, but I have explained to my gf wants to finish her education and I want to make sure I can give her the life she wants as I need a year before I get married. She was having none of it saying she don't trust me or my gf, saying I don't know what they do when they are alone and such as. I wanted to move to Canada to be with my gf and my family situation here is not the best as my family don't really get along with me due to me supporting my little sister for the abuse she got within the family. My mum originally years ago said I can move over there then decided no I can't, I explained to her I want to be there, but I will eventually come back or bring her to Canada with me. She starts gritting her teeth at my gfs mum whenever she talks back to her.
My gfs mum said to her then if you can't support both of their goals they should just break up as she does not want her to go through the life she had. My mum openly said to my sisters in laws she does not like my gf and says to me she likes her and didn't say that. I found out she looks at my gfs Facebook and makes fun out of her with my stepdad saying look she thinks she can sing and such.
Now since they have left the UK, I tired talking to my mum, but it seems she has no interest, and my little sister is supporting her and isolating me from family stuff. One time I kind of lost my shit and raised my voice at my mum which I regret but I had enough of everything.
My gf cried to me every day saying what wrong did she do and her mum is disappointed in me.
My gf tried talking to my mum, but my mum blocked her. I explained if you can't build a relationship now it's going to be futile in the future to which she said, " when you get married then I'll try". I decided at the end I'm moving to Canada to be with her, work harder than I ever had before and make my gf happy.
I stood my ground with my mum and said I can't let anyone dictate my life and wish she understood me as her in laws gave her a hard time when she got remarried.
Sorry if this seems all over the place.
Just a few notes what I found out my mum thinks of my gfs mum. She said she is a whore as she attends political events. My gfs mum never said a word bad about her to me or her.
I'm know I'm doing the right thing but at the same time it's a hard decision.
Should I keep trying to make mum come around or is it something I may just have to live with?

Hi! I’m moving to Tokyo for a gap year in August/september time from the uk, and just wanted advice on immigration when I arrive (I couldn’t find any info online).
I’m planning to fly to haneda airport as it is a lot easier to get around to Central Tokyo through there, but there is a layover in Osaka (KIX), would I have to go through immigration there and get my residency card etc there as well?
Probably such a silly question but just wanted some confirmation before I book anything!!
(Just to preface the flight that I’m looking at will have a 3 hour layover in KIX)

Son argument : le livret A est à 2,4% nets (non imposable) et le Livret 1e Epargne à 2,8% nets (mais imposable = impot sur revenus + prelev sociaux = 30%)
1/ Livret 1er Epargne est plafonné à 1600euros
2/ Livret A 22 95euros
3/ Est ce qu'en terme de rendement "pour du livret", le livret 1er Epargne reste "meilleur" que le livret A sachant que les 1600 seraient déjà atteints
4/ Faut-il mieux que je reste Full Livret A pour le moment sans ouvrir de Livret 1er Epargne comme conseillé ?
