The show has from the beginning shown that innies are, effectively, slaves. They exist to work for Lumon and have no identities other than that. If their working ceased to be, they would quite literally stop existing. But this last episode brought up something I had never even bothered to think about, through Dylan's outtie: what happens if you get fired after being severed?
Realistically, you now have a massive gap in your resume where you were effectively not working, you'll have to disclose that you underwent a procedure that most people find bizarre and unethical (abhorrent, even) or risk lying, your job skills have probably all gone out the window for god knows how long (presumably for most people a number of years). You're unhireable. In a way, Lumon has made outties slaves as well: wage slaves. They have no choice but to continue to work for Lumon, and no one else, because no one else will take them in.
Just adds another horrifying circle of hell to this torturous labyrinth we call Severance. God I love this show.

Hi everyone! Hope you’re well! I (27F) am a third-year PhD student in London, UK (this is relevant for later).
I signed up for the Ironman 70.3 in Aix-en-Provence in May. I’m already in pretty decent shape; I did an Olympic triathlon last summer (~2h50), a trail half-marathon (running; ~1h55) in September and two open-water swimming marathons (10K; ~2h50). I’m a strong swimmer and a decent runner, but I need to improve my cycling.
So I started gradually increasing the training volume but it leads me to be in physical pain all the time… and I don’t even run/cycle that much. Right now I swim 3x/week in swimming, around 10K a week (I train/compete with the Masters so don’t want to reduce my swimming volume), run 2-3x/week, around 15-20K a week, and cycling is variable depending on my schedule. I try to do one commute to university per week (~18K each way) and a long cycle when I have time on the weekend.
However I really struggle to make everything work in a sustainable way. I live with flatmates and have very little fridge and freezer space, so it’s hard to meal prep in advance. Also living in London is great for parks but commuting takes a lot of my time. And obviously doing a PhD is very consuming, both time-wise and mentally. And as a student I don’t have that much money so I do everything in a budget-friendly way.
Anyway, I am in constant physical pain and always tired… and I struggle to know when to rest and when to push it. I want to keep enjoying the sport and not just having a goal in mind. But I also don’t want to just “survive” the Ironman 70.3… aaaand stop comparing myself to others on Strava!
Any inspiring stories on how you managed to make it work are very welcome!!! Either as a student or with a busy schedule. I think I might be overthinking all of this. Cheers!

ch liebe meinen iX1 xdrive und ich liebe Wohnwagenurlaub in Skandinavien und Schottland. Beides passt nicht gut zusammen.
Nun habe ich ein super Angebot für einen VW Multivan PHEV bekommen und hätte fast blind gekauft. Zum Glück nur fast:
Der Motor ist ein Desaster. Die Schrankwand fährt trotz nominal > 200 PS bei Vollgas mit einem 1,4 Liter Benziner ohne E-Motor wie ein Polo aus 2005, der Motor ist laut ohne Ende bei Volllast. Dafür dann Listenpreise über 80.000 Euro ist doch Wahnsinn! Ich bin noch immer konsterniert.
Dank Wohnwagen muss ich wohl doch wieder Verbrenner kaufen, ich brauche Allrad und hätte gerne 7 Sitze. E-Auto fällt aus, PHEV wäre nur der XC90 möglich, allerdings ist der mir deutlich zu protzig glaube ich.
Ich wollte nur mal mein Erlebtes schildern, vielleicht hat ja jemand eine gute Idee fĂĽr mein first world problem... :)

Final jab tomorrow from my 5mg pen, a little confused if I could get some tips please.
My predicament is a little different in that this is not a 5th dose situation. I have my 2nd 5mg pen (I regretted not moving up to 7.5mg) and have been doing an additional 15 pen clicks after each dose to get 6.25mg.
Tomorrow is my 4th dose with this pen and due to these extra clicks my pen should lock.
My question is: On the insulin syringe there are 10-100 units marked. Where would 6.25mg be marked on the insulin syringe?
My next pen is going to be 7.5mg, if there’s a little extra liquid left beyond 6.25mg, should I use all of it so long as it does not exceed 7.5mg?
