I'm looking for the best way to send automated Mass/Bulk SMS Messages while also trying to not get marked as spam. Whether that's through an automated texting service, a service for wholesaling that has that feature included, or some other way. It doesn't have to be free but being more of a beginner I don't want to put hundreds and hundreds of dollars into this. And yes I am aware of the new regulations coming into affect on the 27th. I'm also wondering how many messages I should stick to sending an hour. The top answer I've come to see is five. Is there a different amount that you send? Any help with either of these questions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

It's a card game using the Bloons as attack units and the Bloons TD games' various towers as defense units. You can find it on the app store. It seems like a pretty fun game in its current state. Don't know if they're going to update it, but it's worth a try if you haven't already.

2025.01.24 17:30 wizard10000 experience with h.265 transcoding?
I just enabled it and it seems to work. Have an old 1080p TCL Roku TV that doesn't do h.265, plugged a 4k Roku Streaming stick into it and Plex says it's transcoding to HEVC now.
This was the only client in the house that didn't support h.265 and now it does and HEVC trancoding seems to be working fine on current production Plex build on a 10th gen Intel running Debian Unstable.
Wondering if other folks are having positive experiences with h.265 transcoding?

I bought a Beelink SEI Mini PC with i5-11320H 16GB DDR4 a few years ago and have been using a Western Digital My Passport HDD as a plex server. To be clear, it works great BUT i am planning on buying a d4-320 DAS along with a couple of 12tb HDD to add more space. This is not a situation where I am concerned about losing data since it is just my Plex Media.
The issue is, when I get the D4 and add the drives to it, what is the recommended set up for those drives for Windows / Plex? For example, should i open up disc manager and make those 2 drives show up as 1 via i believe Stripped or do simple? Any recommendations or general best case would be appreciated.
Before anyone recommends moving from windows, I just prefer using windows 10 since I already know how to use it / Plex is working. I also use it to stream anime/youtube on my tv.

Just need to vent right now. I lost state insurance on Christmas. But got married three days prior so I was able to finagle my way into getting insurance from my employer. I was told by my boss & several care coordinators that yes they cover GLP-1 medications.
They don’t. It’s in every one of their plans that they do not cover it. I’m so frustrated because I fought with getting health insurance and the state says I make too much money (12.75 an hour is too much apparently) and they won’t accept me. I had them before Christmas but now they won’t let me reapply for benefits from the state.
It’s either I go broke entirely with this medicine or I drop it completely and risk gaining every pound I lost again. The medicine helped me so much with self control of over eating and I feel so foolish and helpless.

I’ve been wondering so I asked ChatGPT. This what I got, and it’s kind of in line with my gut feeling. As employee I used to get about 6,5K monthly gross. Now I charge 700/day. Is it correct that I now contribute more to the government in absolute terms? And if so, why the political witchhunt on freelancers?
Can anyone point out what’s wrong with this logic?
Short Answer Because the freelancer’s total gross ( €700 × 220 = €154 k ) is substantially higher than the employee’s gross ( €6,500 × 13.92 ≈ €90.5 k ), the freelancer ends up remitting more euros in absolute terms to the government. However, if you look at effective tax rates, the salaried employee’s combined tax plus social‐security burden (including employer contributions) is typically higher on a percentage basis.
Walk‐Through of the Numbers
Below is a rough comparison of how much each pays to the Belgian state. Note that real‐life details can shift these totals (e.g. actual deductible expenses, precise social‐security rates, local surcharges, etc.). Still, this gives a ballpark idea.
1) The Freelancer at €700/day × 220 days • Annual Revenue (excl. VAT):  • Corporate Tax (20%) Exact eligibility for the 20% rate depends on conditions, but assuming 20% on the full profit:  Leaving  in the company. • Social Contributions A Belgian freelancer (via a BV or as a self‐employed manager) must pay self‐employed social security (roughly 20–21% of income). How it’s calculated can vary (some pay a minimal salary, some pay a management fee, etc.). For a ballpark, let’s assume around 20% on the full freelance earnings. In practice, it often comes out of the company before or after tax—there are different ways it can be structured. Let’s do one simplified approach where the freelancer ends up paying roughly  (The exact figure depends heavily on how their accountant structures salary vs. dividends, but we’ll keep a single “social” chunk for illustration.) • Dividend Tax (withholding 30–35%) After corporate tax (and possibly having accounted for social contributions), the remainder is distributed as a dividend. At a 35% withholding, for instance:  • Net to the Freelancer would be somewhere around the remainder:

2) The Employee at €6,500/month × 13.92 • Annual Gross Salary:  • Employee Social Security (~13.07%):  Leaves about €78,700 to be subjected to personal income tax. • Personal Income Tax (Progressive up to 50%) Once you apply Belgian progressive rates (25%, 40%, 45%, 50% brackets) plus communal surcharges, you might end up paying around €35–38 k in income taxes on that €78–79 k. • Net Pay to the Employee ends up around €41–45 k, so roughly half the gross salary. • Employer Social Security (~25–30%) On top of that gross of ~€90.5 k, the employer typically pays another ~€22–27 k to the government in employer contributions.
Putting it all together, the total cost to the employer might be around €115–120 k, of which roughly €70–75 k goes to the government (employee + employer social security + income tax). The employee nets ~€40–45 k.
Conclusion 1. Absolute Euro Amount: Because the freelancer is billing €154 k vs. the employee’s gross of €90.5 k, the freelancer hands over more money in absolute terms—often somewhere around €80–90 k total to the government vs. the employee’s €70–75 k (when you include employer + employee portions). 2. Effective Rate: If you compare pure “tax wedge” or percentage of total labor cost that ends up with the government, the employee is typically in a higher bracket (55–65% total wedge is common). Meanwhile, the freelancer often ends up at ~55–60% effective, depending on how dividends vs. salary are structured.
Hence, in total euros paid to the state, the €700/day freelancer usually pays more, simply because they are invoicing far more than the gross salary.
