With the first games (Cyberpunk) getting updated with Nvidia's new DLSS 4.0, reports of far improved visuals are being reported. People have been able to copy DLLs into other games that don't have official support yet. Has anyone tried for DCS yet, and if so, does it seem to be improved over the current DLSS implementation?

Any tips from people who’ve learned Thai successfully? Especially northeastern dialect? I want to learn Thai in order to communicate better with my boyfriend’s family when we visit Thailand in the next year or so. His mom and him speak Thai all the time together, so I have some help there when it comes to practicing and whatnot, but I’m still hung up on where to find actual vocab and grammar lessons. Of course I know they still understand “normal” Thai but communication with family is my main goal in learning so I’m not sure if it would be worth focusing on the that dialect despite it being easily accessible?

Maar dan trekt de storm aan, en ineens twijfel je weer aan alles—je eigen gedachten, je vrienden, zelfs je eigen spiegelbeeld. Je kunt nog zo hard je best doen om "normaal" te blijven, maar wat is normaal als je niet weet of wat je voelt echt is?
De strijd is niet alleen tegen de psychose, maar ook tegen het stigma. Hoe leg je iemand uit dat je angst niet zomaar een "dipje" is? Dat de stemmen niet "iets spiritueels" zijn, maar een verstoring in je brein? Soms lijkt het makkelijker om te zwijgen, maar in dat zwijgen groeit de eenzaamheid als een onkruid in je hoofd.
En toch... tussen de wanen door is er hoop. Kleine overwinningen, zoals een ochtend zonder angst, een gesprek waarin je écht begrepen wordt, of een moment waarin je beseft dat jij meer bent dan je ziekte. De psychose mag dan een schaduw zijn die je achtervolgt, maar het leven blijft—en in dat leven zit kracht. Zelfs in de donkerste hoeken kan een sprankje licht doordringen.
Misschien is dat het grootste gevecht: niet perfect proberen te zijn, maar simpelweg proberen te blijven. En soms, heel soms, is dat genoeg.

I thought it was more of a cautionary tale about man’s pursuit of power through advanced military technology, like nuclear weapons.
But it seems like Ice-Nine functions quite a lot like some of the worst case scenarios presented by AI researchers, such as the Paperclip Factory Scenario in which an advanced AI is given a task to make paperclips and goes about turning everything into paperclips.
Do you think Vonnegut was using Ice-Nine as a stand-in for runaway AI in this novel?

pmo. That word enrages me to a point i can’t explain, it’s so bland and overused. How have we as a society who’ve come so far limited our vocabulary to three letters to express distaste. Not just that, it is in every single comment section i see, whether as a comment or a reply to one. Is there not any better way to show you dislike something. scroll? use victorian language? anything please km begging. The word ruins my day instantly upon seeing the three letters and i am going to be driven to insanity. What happend to kindness and accepting opinions? it has turned into “pmo” i’ve never even been told it yet it still makes my blood evaporate and my patience disintegrate.
