I work in a nonprofit that runs a non-zero number of homeless shelters in New York City. ICE has been hitting shelters in town. My org is disclosing this in an all-hands meeting. We are being trained to not disclose identities, but to assist in the serving arrest warrants by unlocking doors. If the clients are not in their apartments then we are to escort ICE out.
It is happening here. Right now. We believe raids are being timed in mornings and evenings in order to increase the odds that they find their targets, and catch them when they are unaware or groggy.

Hi! I live in South Carolina and I’m moving to the Chicago area in early March. We’ve had a german cockroach infestation for elevenish years now. We lived in an apartment who refused to do anything about it, then moved and we tried our hardest but unfortunately they followed. This time im determined to not bring them with. Any advice? We aren’t bringing many belongings other than personal items, a few pieces of furniture, and electronics like TV’s. I was thinking of bombing the truck once everything is inside, but I’m not sure that will be enough. Anything I should do before bringing things inside the new place? With clothes and furniture I think I’ll be able to shake out most things, but they love to hide in extension cords, printers, things like that. Is it better to just start new with those things if possible? Any help is appreciated!

Got this naval piercing in August. This is my second change of piercing because the top ball keeps falling off so I buy new one. I only noticed this growth a month ago...maybe it was more older than it is since I don't be looking up my belly button. My piercing is a bit slanted but that doesn't bother me because I rather it be slanted than repierce. I have low pain tolerance and the pain getting it in the first place was HORRIBLE. is this bump something that can go away with a longer bar?(11mm right now) or do i have to say goodbye to it(i really dont care if its slanted)...or should I get it checked(was pussing awhile back but now it's just a solid bump)

Just a general PSA here, it takes several hours for food intakes to go from the mouth to your intestines, where it gets absorbed.
Being ‘glutened’ likely will not occur for at least a couple of hours to up to 8 hrs or more for your body is have a true reaction. If you are immediately feeling symptoms, it is likely psychosomatic.
Source: I am a sports nutrition coach and licensed mental health therapist, and am also working on my doctorate regarding gut brain axis.

Suffering with a delayed union of TiB/fib after a pretty bad high impact compound fracture back in August. Surgeon has said I can try using exogen to promote healing.
