Hi everyone, I’m curious to hear about recent experiences crossing the U.S. > Mexico border. Specifically, if you’ve crossed the border in the past week, how was the process?
Were there any noticeable changes, delays, or increased scrutiny compared to usual? I'm particularly interested in hearing from U.S. citizens and those traveling with family members who hold legal U.S. status.
I (Caucasian F) have a dentist appt scheduled in Tijuana this Sunday - My final appt of 4. For my previous appointments, I have traveled with my partner and his parents (who are from Mexico, but have legal U.S. status of 30+ years). We obviously all have our passports and everything but what's the risk factor of crossing the border right now? With all the policy updates and discussions in the news lately, I’d love to get a sense of what things are like on the ground and wondering if it would better for me to travel alone for this trip.
Any insights or advice for travelers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! 🙏🏻

2025.01.24 19:40 CURI0SITY- I don't think that these aberrations towards the edge of the frame are normal. What could be the cause?
 | So this is my first roll of 120 that I shot with my recently purchased Seagull 4B. The seller said that the camera had recently been CLA'd and that it had worked well for him. He stated that he shot a test roll, but I haven't seen see the pictures. I used a homemade 3D printed insert to shoot in 6x4.5, but I don't think that's the source of the problem (it fits perfectly). I'm suspecting it's a incrorrectly reasembled lens, but I'm not sure. What do you all think? 2025.01.24 19:40 Icy_Priority_668 Wait for R2 over ID.4 or Mach-E?
Hi all, l've been lurking in the ID.4, Mach-E, and Rivian forums for a while as my wife and I plan for a future EV. We currently have a 2016 Hyundai Sonata hybrid. Our next vehicle will be an EV, and we don't want to stay in the Hyundai ecosystem anymore. Unfortunately the R1S physically doesn’t fit in our garage, and that’s the only place we have to charge it, so the current Rivian lineup is out. Ideally we'd get the Rivian R2, but it won't be available for at least another 18 months, if not more, and our timeline may have quickly moved up. The ID.4 seems to be the vehicle with the most features (heated, cooled, and massage seats) while still providing our desired range (300 miles) and physically not too big. The Mach-E does have a frunk, but not sure a small storage area beats physical comfort of the ID.4's seats. What are the reasons to wait on the R2 over an ID.4 or Mach-E? Any extra thoughts or commentary between those various models? Thanks all!

My kitten is 6 months old. (I promise I’m not even holding her down, she’s just laying there I just wanted a photo to show where it was). I noticed a few days ago she has a swollen lymph node or a moveable lump under her chin near her neck. It’s like a kidney bean size. I immediately got her a vet appt 2 days ago and they noticed she had black stuff around her mouth, on her nose, and in her ears which I have noticed for a long time but was originally told it was probably dirt. They looked under the microscope and saw bacteria so they treated her with a 14 day antibiotic shot. (I added photos for reference, it looked worse but I recently cleaned it with a warm wet cloth).
I’m so worried and stressed out, when would it go down? She’s my sweet girl, I’m so worried it’s something bad.

They kicked me out of spotify for this.
I want to be less dependent on Spotify for listening to music. I have about 3000 songs in my liked songs playlist and if my account ever got deleted or Spotify ever imploded I would like some other way to check in on the songs I like, but taking them down manually is impractical. I would just like a notepad file with a list of all the songs with their names and artists attached. Is there a tool or site or something that could do this?

 | Sadly these 2 tubs are wasted. They are treated with h202 and are separated from the rest of the crowd. Going to my garden compost bin. I thought I could grow them in the same tent as my gourmet mushrooms. Normally that's fine when they already pinned. I didn't let these pin and conditions weren't right. Was trying to move these to fruiting too fast. Don't make the same mistake I did. Another sign is my camera lens cover fell into the tub when I was trying to take a photo. 2025.01.24 19:40 jayjuicejay Black Screen after boot following installing Nvidia Driver - Asus TUF gaming A14
So I have had a lot of trouble getting linux working on this machine. I had never had that issue before with any computer. I did finally get Fedora 41 installed and everything loaded. However, performance was questionable with YouTube stuttering, and such. So I decided I needed to try the Nvidia drivers. I had found a couple places online talking about that. I first started with SecureBoot since I am dual booting on a 2nd drive. It was working, but I followed this https://rpmfusion.org/Howto/Secure%20Boot guide for secure boot. Then I followed some directions I found for installing the Nvidia drivers. Everything seemed fine until reboot and then it loads shows the splash screen the goes black. I can get to a different TTY and log in. I am using the i3 spin of Fedora as well so this is X11. I also referenced this after the secure boot stuff to handle the Nvidia stuff https://www.reddit.com/Fedora/comments/18bj1kt/fedora_nvidia_secure_boot/
Anyone else run into issues or have ideas for some help? Thanks!
