TLDR: Don't bother going below 200ish max life if you want to sustain demon form longer.
I thought I was being clever by pairing a very specific Ingenuity roll with my two Ming's Hearts and all of the reduced life on the skill tree and achieving 99% reduced maximum life, so even a small amount of regen would be enough to sustain Demon Form longer than it takes to clear any content.
The tooltip does follow this, rounding to the nearest 0.1 life loss per second, including going to a tooltip life loss of 0 when I got my max life to 6 (with ghostwrithe on top of the 99% reduced).
However, after some testing, I couldn't sustain more than ~230 stacks regardless of if I had 6 or 20ish or 40ish life (by changing gear and speccing in and out of an infernalist life node). That is exactly the amount of life regen I have right now, so it seems that it rounds up to 1 life loss per second regardless of how far below that you are.
Interestingly enough, if you're just above 200 life (which is where the 0.5% per second per stack should go above 1) it doesn't round up to 2 life loss per second, so it seems like 1 life loss per second per stack is just a hard lower bound when it's calculating how much life you should lose.
Also interesting: current Life is apparently not an integer. While at 6 life, it does go down smoothly instead of at steps, so you can clearly see that there are values between all of the integers. Curious if any hardcore characters have lived to see another day after going below 1 life.
As a side note, the exact rolls I used for the 99% reduced max life are two 26% reduced max life Ming's Hearts combined with a 62 to 65% roll on Ingenuity, bringing each ring to a rounded down 42% reduced max life (84% total) and then picking up the 15% reduced max life that's available on the skill tree with Heavy Buffer and Goring. You specifically need to have skipped the Act 1 Cruel 8% increased maximum life reward and be aware that there is some increased max life in the infernalist tree. It's also possible with higher or lower rolls on the rings, but this seemed like the best middle ground between making the rings too expensive and making the belt too expensive.

I am trying to rally the troops regarding the problems we have encountered at this chick fil a location. I realize that this is merely a fast food restaurant and if they want to operate this way it’s their business. However, I want to complain about it, and that is my business. I have complained to the company, and I have complained to the manager. I would like to see this place improve because it is our closest one and it would be nice if it equaled the experience at most any other chick fil a. Please, if you agree that by chick fil a standards, this place is not good at all, then get on the boat with me and file complaints of your own. Initially, it was just that the food was not as good and the employees are always using the dining room for their breaks, then we realized they make mistakes on our order EVERY time. Our last visit, they were just outright rude to my wife. If this experience does not reverberate with you, just sit back and let the rest of us try to make it better, as the owner apparently does not seem to care.

My teenage daughter (13) brought up the Elon Musk "Nazi salute" pic and video at dinner last night. My other daughter (17) chimed in about it and how much she was seeing it on socials. My boyfriend, who was wearing a space x T-shirt at the time, (and is a HUGE Elon fan) said it was taken out of context and showed us pictures of Democrats seemingly doing the same hand motion. My older daughter then pulled up a video that showed all of those speeches and the hand motion that was freeze framed to build a counter argument. Anyway...this continues for a few minutes, and I said "well, I think you're probably right (to my boyfriend), it wasn't meant to be a Nazi salute, but I think you are right (girls) that he should apologize for inadvertently offending anyone, since he is in a position of power." My boyfriend waited around a few minutes and then when my son yelled about something unrelated, he yelled at his kids to pack up and that they were leaving. We were all upset they left so abruptly, and my son felt crushed thinking he caused it. A bit later I reached out to him to make sure they made it home and he unloaded on me that the girls and I had "teamed up on him" and "said Elon is literally Hitler" (which was never said) and the reason he left was because of that and I hadn't handled it properly. He said I didn't have his back and that if I didn't have his back he didn't want to be in a relationship. Like, truly I was shocked. I told him we were just sharing our opinions, and his was as valid, but it didn't have to align with mine or my girls' and that we could have just discussed this rather than him storming off. He said he felt cornered and that I should have shut down the conversation. My question is, should I have cut off the conversation? It feels wrong to cut off my teenage daughters voicing their opinion in a clear and reasonable way. They in no way brought it up to start an argument, it's just all over everything right now. Should I have backed him up and said we aren't going to talk about Elon Musk like that because frankly I don't think people in positions of power are infallible. My boyfriend said he doesn't want to be a part of my family if he's going to get teamed up on like that and I don't defend his position. I feel like that's totally unreasonable... Help.
