Hello!
My three year old daughter has some sensory processing issues. She gets easily overwhelmed by sounds and touch, and gets low input from movement- as diagnosed by our OT the first time we went. That’s been a really helpful insight in understanding how she works.
Since then we’ve gone three times and I’m having a hard time understanding what the goal and process is. Our biggest goals for her are to expand her world- she is scared of playgrounds, slides, trampolines, etc and we want to help her feel more comfortable in those environments.
The other thing we want to work on is helping her feel more comfortable around other kids. She HATES (it’s applicable here) other kids. She likes grown ups and I think it’s because kids are unpredictable and get in her space. She’s in lots of toddler classes and stuff so she gets exposure to other children plenty.
At the OT they typically try to get her to play with some movement our noisy toys and she just says no and they say “okay, you don’t have to”. Then they’ll play with her with toys she likes- but it’s just two grown ups playing with her, and we know she already enjoys that.
I don’t want to question them because I know they know more than I do- but I’m just not quite sure how this is all working toward the end goal. The biggest thing is that it’s an hour drive both ways and a huge hassle to get there everytime- so I want to make sure it counts when we go.
Is there something I need to ask or suggest differently when we are there? Or do I need to sit back and trust the process?

I live in Canada. I was going to ise the GD930 to clean up lead dust in my house. Seing lots of posts about the GD930, I called Nilfisk directly, to verify it is certified. They said the GD930 is not a fully-sealed system and is not approved for lead dust removal in Canada. The least expensive option they gave is the GM-80 which is around 2000$+++. Any cheaper option for a fully sealed system in Canada ?

My husband 39M (I 32F) of 6 years is constantly having flings, meet ups and such with random people, usually while I'm asleep. I used to confront him about it but it always ends up being my fault for invading his privacy or not showing him enough love and affection. It's been 6 years now and after about a year of not looking for or finding anything, I woke up at 4am and he was walking back into the apartment smelling like perfume, so I waited for him to pass out drunk and checked his phone and sure enough he had met up with someone at the park outside our building. I took the person's number from his phone and texted them to ask them to leave him alone. This is going to sound pathetic, but he is genuinely the most loving and doting partner, always looking after me, making me meals, keeping the apartment clean while I'm at work, taking care of me when I don't feel well and always checking to see how I feel. I love him so much and I just don't have the energy the fight with him about it anymore. You see, I'm quite sick and struggling mentally and physically but he hasn't been to the doctors with me so he doesn't know and I don't want to tell him. It has come to the point that I don't even cry about it anymore. I just feel dead inside. And I would like for someone to tell me that this is ok and that continuing this way is not necessarily a bad thing...

the input delay bug on xbox has actually made regress in skill level it’s so frustrating. I have to use twice as much boost to do touches that I can usually do with my eyes closed. I don’t think this will ever be fixed sadly. I think that’s it for xbox players.

2025.01.24 20:23 Nylanderthals Using cheap exhaust repair options on a leaking flange gasket?
On my 2009 CR-V the gasket at the flange between the resonator and outlet side of the cat has worn away and you can see a gap between the flanges.
For context, this car is at 250,000 km. I already needed to use a split flange to fix the flange at the muffler side of the resonator. We bought it used in 2020, so not overly attached.
My question is has anyone had any luck using something like a JB weld putty, or wraps to fix something like this? In my mind i should be able place spread a thick bead in the small gap and then generously layer some puddy around the connection to get a little more life out of it (ideally 1-2 years).
My main hesitation of doing it the "right" way is that my wife would like to take the car on Sunday and I don't think I can get it fixed before that, specifically due to the state of the welded in bolts holding the flanges together. From what I've read people had to cut them off flush with an angle grinder and drill out the holes and replace that hardware with some new nuts and bolts. I have a fairly large DeWalt grinder that I doubt I can get in the space.

Omega Speedmaster 3861 Sapphire: This js my dream watch, I got her for $3k under retail vrand new box and stickers and warrenty through an online watch dealer who worked with a boutique. I love this thing and it is my daily driver of a watch. Tissot Seastar: My uncle gave me this watch a couple months ago. He wore it from the 70s to the 2000s. He got it as a gift from an offical at Tissot after installing a new kitchen into his house in the 70s. Seiko 6139-7060: I saved this watch from a crackhouse in September after seeing a listing for watches on Facebook marketplace. The person had 2 Walmart bags of crap watches and this was in there with it. When I showed up to his house to look at his watches by myself (dumb idea) it was a run doen trailer with random people just tweaking out inside. He had the watch apart and tried "fixxing" it himself. It cost me $7 for the watch and I got it completely refinished and fixxed for $360. I got a Porche Martini Racing strap to wear it on and it looks great. I just got it back from service today. KM Siegerin Kriegsmarine WW2 watch: I bought this watch from a military surplus store off of Gold Beach at Normandy on a school trip to France. It is all orignal parts and band and was never refinished. I never wear this watch as there is no way to take the band off without damaging it, it's more of a memory / historical peice for me. It was most likely worn by a German naval officer in WWII and was most likely produced from 1937 - 1939 Hamilton Khaki King Automatic (ETA Movment) This was the first watch I bought for myself. I got it from ebay when I was 16. I wore it every day for 4 months straight until I got my second watch. I still wear it occasionally now, but it lives mostly in the box. Sekio Alpinist Sarb017: My pride and joy, this is my favorite watch. I wore this 24/7 (except showers) every day from November 2022 to October 2024. It was my everything watch. I have worn this watch through thick and thin and it has never failed me. The 200m water resistance and the Sapphire glass really makes this thing a dressy beast. I wear it regularly alongside my Speedy. Rest of watches: the majority all have their own little stories, but aren't nearly as interesting. The G Shock and Garmin are going to be my millitary watches as I ship to Army Basic this Monday. I hope you all enjoyed reading about my watch collecting adventures.
