If you are a serious note taker, you might consider adding a few extra tools to your workflow if you haven't already. If you use some tools not mentioned, please reply. I'd really like to hear about them and what they offer you. I can always use a bit of improvement and word of mouth recommendations have been really helpful.
Out of the box Notability checks a lot of my boxes and I have posted on this a few times. But there are a few things I need that either Notability doesn't offer as of yet or shouldn't really offer in the first place. So I supplement a few extra tools into my digital workflow to help me get to what I need. And if you frequent the note taking forums, you'll find there are some really useful apps.
I use my iPad Pro 100% of the time and use it like a laptop. So everything I mention is iOS and iPadOS related. And I believe all of these are one time purchases.
So lets get into it.
The first one is PDF Margin Adjuster. This is a must have for those that markup PDFs. Most PDFs fill up all of the writing space, so needing a bit of extra room on the margins can be really helpful. MarginAdjuster allows you the ability to add margin whitespace to the left, right, top, and bottom of all the PDF pages. You can expand all 4 sides or any combination as needed. Normally I just expand the right side of my PDFs. The tool offers Simple, Advanced and Expert modes to dial in the exact width of your margins. I use Advanced so that I can specify which side of the paper to increase the margin.

Next up is Ferrite Recording Studio and VideoConverter. Now you might be thinking, doesn't Notability have audio recording and transcription? The answer is yes it does. But I only use Notability on my iPad and not on my iPhone. There are times and places I must be discreet in my recordings. So I use Ferrite to perform my audio recordings from time to time. However, Ferrite doesn't record in an audio codec that Notability can consume for transcription. That's where VideoConverter comes in real handy. It can take the audio of Ferrite and convert it into MP4A, which Notability can import and transcribe. As long as the audio clip is less than 100MB that's the cap set by Notability), I'm good.

Then we come to Etsy and Amadine. These two are the extreme opposites when it some to creating templates and planners. Etsy is wonderful place to purchase premade templates. As long as the purchase is a PDF, you are good to go. So items that only list Remarkable, Goodnotes, SuperNote, Boox, etc. etc.. are all compatible with Notability as long as the item you purchase is a PDF. Now it could be scaled to those devices, but odds are you will be fine. Now if Etsy doesn't have what you need and you need something fancy that Apple Pages or Microsoft Word cannot create, check out Amadine. It's a vector graphics tool you can build out forms in and save to PDF. A bit of a learning curve, like anything, but it offers you the ability to really get in there and create unique templates and planners you might want. I admit, when I need a template I always go the easy route and search Etsy first before making a custom one with Amadine.

Rounding the corner is Flow Charts, Block Diagram. Notability has the ability to make shapes, but creating flow charts would be a stretch. Now Flow Charts isn't the best in the market, but what makes it so nice is a one-time purchase without subscription. Flow Charts helps me fill in those times I need something to accompany my notes that has some polish to the diagrams and not some crude drawing. A very honorable mention for Flowdia Diagrams as well.

Something to really consider is PDFMaker: JPG to PDF Converter. First, the name is misleading. Yes, it can take pictures and turn them into PDFs. But, that's such a small part of what it brings to bear. You can merge, split, reorder, rotate, compress, and OCR PDFs. It's like the swiss army knife for simple PDF operations. Professor drop dropped a 5K page PDF on you, then break it apart with this tool.

What if you have a PDF that you cannot search? Better yet, why cannot you search? The reason is PDFs come in two major flavors; image based and text based. Image based PDFs primarily come from scanners that read in a document and then email the scanned document as a PDF. An early favorite for many professors that maintained hard copies of materials. Well images are not searchable unless you perform OCR. So for this I reach for OCR Text Scanner: QuickScan. (In fact the author lurks on Reddit.) It's a great tool when that PDF you get you cannot search. Run the PDF through QuickScan and it will add the searchable text back into your PDF and then load into Notability.

Lastly is PDF Extractor. I mention this earlier today. Stickers are great, if and only if they are easy to use. Problem is, stickers aren't as easy as they should be. If you purchase sticker packs or have a textbook with drawings and diagrams that you would like to extract and use as stickers, then take a look at this tool. This tool allows you to extract out the individual images from a PDF and save them into an album in your Photos. You can then use them as stickers in Notability. Tip: Stay organized with your albums, else it will be a jungle of images.

Buenas tardes, me gustaría confirmar con personas que tengan experiencia propia o que conozcan amigos/familiares que hayan solicitado la cita para la entrevista de la Visa en otro país.
Un contexto rápido, tengo la cita para la visa para el año 2026, hice el tramite con mi familia, pero por temas laborales (La empresa para la que trabajo me esta invitando a unas conferencias en agosto) necesito poder re-agendarla lo antes posible, puedo ver que directamente o con agencias se esta haciendo casi imposible, pero al tiempo veo cada vez mas videos en redes sobre personas que "adelantan" su cita en Brazil, y muestran calendarios con citas a dos meses o menos.
Mi pregunta es si es esto verdaderamente posible, siendo Colombiana con cita ya agendada para el 2026, podría yo solicitar tener mi entrevista en Brazil/Chile etc, para obtener fechas mas cercanas?, o realmente es una perdida de recursos y tiempo.

This is my first time following women's pro basketball through a whole 12-month cycle. I was looking at the transactions for the 2024 season here, to get an idea of how that went down: https://acrossthetimeline.com/wnba/transactions.html#season=2024
Basically, during free agency, things were quiet: there were a few training camp contracts signed, contracts suspended, etc. At the very end of the free agency period (Jan 31), a couple of trades were announced. The next day, Feb 1, you can see a flood of announcements: about 30 different signings. By the end of the week, many team rosters look pretty different, draft picks have moved around significantly (#3 and #4 have both changed hands, while #8 moves between four different teams before draft day), and several high-profile free agents have signed with their new teams even as others are still negotiating.
For those of you following things last year... what was it like? Were there lots of rumors beforehand? Did the Copper trade come out of nowhere or were people just in denial about it? Does it work to send hand-drawn cards to your favorite players, begging them not to switch teams? How about money? How about FOOD?

It was on YouTube, the thumbnail was of a player with one of the helmets with the glowing cyber eyes. Apparently the team was taking over a base in Pyro, cleaning out the NPCs and “accidentally” taking out other players who landed at the same location. Some attempt at communication with the other players but usually ending with the other running and getting gunned down. One of the highlights was a person who was apparently immune, so the videoer was using a tractor’ed ground vehicle to knock them down.

Okay so it’s been a while. After I sent the text last time it’s been quiet. The have not contacted me once. It’s been amazing. Anyone out there struggling with going NC or not. Do it. It’s BLISS.
Anyways. My FIL did trap my husband at work to talk about my message. My MIL printed out both their “apology” text and my response and they went through my whole message together. My husband explained everything he asked about and reiterated we just needed an apology and accountability with a promise to change their behavior. He said it was very harsh and that his mother has been crying non stop. Wah. Y’all didn’t care when I was crying why do you expect us to care that you’re upset you didn’t get your way with my baby.
Anyways. It was a lot of the same crap. Still no apology or accountability. No shock here. He then said. Me and you. We could talk all this out and be good by tomorrow. But OP and MIL. The best they’ll ever be after this is OK. Women don’t forget. Which to me sounds like my MIL is pissed. I knew she was upset but what could she be mad about idk. Otherwise why wouldn’t me not forgetting extend to him too. My husband and dad both said I was just reading too much into it and not to take it that way so I dropped it. Wasn’t my concern anyways. I’m NC.
Next couple months are quiet. They text husband for Christmas and stuff just short merry Christmas and such but nothing else. My husbands great grandfather was having heart problems for a bit and they thought this was it and they mentioned “don’t worry if you come to the funeral we won’t try anything” like ??? Should that have been a concern at your grandfathers funeral? I ain’t talking to you I if we go? NC is NC.
Fast forward to now. Husband gets a message to come to the house to pick up his check. He’s worried bc why can’t she just leave it in the office like usual. So he goes in knowing something’s up. I wish him luck before he goes and I don’t hear back from him for FOUR. HOURS. I was scared she killed him in a crime of passion! He calls me after everything and sounds okay. He said they talked about everything and she said she wanted me to know everything they talked about so for him to relay it back to me.
She had my text all printed out again to go through and by golly. I WAS RIGHT. She was pissed and you’ll never guess why. In my previous post if you read it you know she used my past family trauma to try to tell me that I was mentally broken and brought up wrong and that’s why I was threatened by her when she wouldn’t give me my baby back. And that she never actually did anything wrong and that grandma being the go to person for my baby was how it was supposed to be. I mentioned that in the message i sent her.
But SHE WAS PISSED. because Id apparently used her past family issues she had confided in me against her!!!!! If you read my message to her I did no such thing! Never even mentioned her past or family bc I know that has nothing to do with me and is not my place! But weird how that would upset somebody huh!!!! My husband asked where tf did I say that and cleared it all up and called her out for actually doing that to me. She had nothing to say and changed the topic.
He’s not good in confrontational situations so he didn’t press but ooooo it made me so mad she had the audacity to be upset about thinking I did that after what she’s pulled.
Anywho. Carrying on. A lot of the same crap asking what they did. Going through the message. Husband holding her to her crap and putting her in her place. She admitted to doing some more things but not to any fault. And still no apology at all. He said she cried nearly the whole time.
She said my husbands grandmother was on their butts trying to figure out what’s going on. They won’t tell her anything. She said she was going to show her MY text only but prayed about it and decided against it. My hero! What a good person! Bffr. I made that text being okay with anyone reading it. Show her! When she comes to me screaming I’ll tell her what you did. And I can cut her off too hoe!
She also said that (since she’s so gracious and kind) we didn’t have to make up an excuse if we weren’t able to make it over to see them in the future if we ever got better! We can just say we couldn’t make it. As if they weren’t the reason we felt it needed to be life or death if we chose not to come over when asked to. They also just keep saying they don’t know what do to make this better and they don’t understand what the boundaries are. As if I haven’t in black and white and in person told them multiple times exactly what I need from them to end NC and exactly what boundaries we have. My FIL also said that “family shouldn’t have boundaries” which is. Super healthy.
Then she said she was at a party and someone asked where we were. She said we were up in Montana visiting my side. They said Montana? You’re not the in laws the couple in Montana keeps getting calls about family issues are you? So apparently there’s a leak because yes I’ve been talking to my parents about this. When I confronted them they both denied and my mom actually tried to blame it on me. (I know she’s the one who did it but she’ll never admit it. I don’t even call her I call my dad and she’s there sometimes. Lesson learned.)
Anyways my dad called my FIL to clear it up and say they haven’t been talking to anyone. My dad said they talk went very well and that my FIL said that he guesses they crossed some boundaries and are trying to figure out what to do. But we’re family and we need to figure this out. (Way to put it lightly) and my MIL ended up calling my husband and saying to profusely thank me for facilitating that. I don’t want to ruin their lives and reputation I just want them out of mine.
She also said to him that she would be willing to go to group family therapy if we all agreed and wanted to. Idk what to do about all that. On one hand my husband really wants to fix our relationship and for our kids to know them. So having a professional call them out would be nice to have and see. But on the other I just want to forget they exist. I’m only leaving the door cracked (given they apologize and change) for my husbands sake. My husband doesn’t like therapy period. He doesn’t wanna go. What do y’all think.
