2025.01.24 20:31 General-Chip1715 What should I do?
2023 JL with very few milage. Every winter it runs into what I believe is electrical issues where the car starts but check engine light, ABS, and battery light goes on and it won’t shift to any other gear besides park (if you tried it will blink on the gear and tell you to switch to Park before going into another gear). Dash says “service electronic stability control”. Seems to only happen on colder days 8 - 20 F. It happened 3 times in the last 2 and a half year I owned it and it had to the towed into the shop. Dealer always say they fixed but it just happens again a month later or next year. Anyone else having similar problems?
Can I get the dealer to recall or take back the car? It’s still under the 3 year warranty. Because i just know it will happen again next winter.

Bought a Subaru a few months ago in Massachusetts, but I live in Rhode Island. The car is garaged, registered, and licensed in RI. Can I call Subaru and have them switch Starlink on? I don’t want the remote plan, but I’d like to be able to do OTA updates and have access to the emergency button if anything ever happens.

In "Junkie", William S. Burroughs describes an herb dealer presenting a bark that was "like opium" while Burroughs and his acquaintances were taking peyote in Mexico. Burroughs and his acquaintances smoked this bark in a cigarette. Burroughs described the smoke as being very harsh and smelling horrible, and the only effect he noted was that it made him feel dizzy. Burroughs did not describe any other characteristics of the drug. I am not aware of any bark that can be smoked that has opioid-like effects, so I figured that the closest thing would be mulungu, as to my knowledge it is a sedative (though I haven't yet tried it myself). The main reason I am skeptical is that mulungu is from South America, and Burroughs and his acquaintances were working with a traditional Mexican herbalist somewhere in or near Mexico City. However, given that this was in the 1940s and trade between herbalists in South and Central America might have been occurring, it doesn't seem entirely out of question for the practice of using mulungu to have made its way into Mexican herbalism. Was what Burroughs smoked Mulungu, or was it more likely something else?

I did find it so weird when Eric Andre does his bit where he gets in a fight with the production crew mid show, Brandi encouraged it and kind of amped him up. 2025.01.24 20:31 _Prink_ Just came back to Deadlock after a hiatus, and oh boy... not having fun.
Played two matches, they were both one-sided, especially the first one. (Which was an absolute stomp.)
People are flaming, crying, shouting on mic constantly.
(Vindicta is still fucking annoying to play against, but that's more of a side-note.)
I honestly want to have fun with this game, but damn...
Thought at least unranked games would be fun and not too sweaty, but it feels like everyone is extremely competitive right now. You make the smallest mistake, and people shout your head off. (Not even just me, happened to other teammates as well.)
I remember playing Deadlock to chill beforehand, but right now I can't use it to wind down after work, since it's only making me more stressed / nervous. :(

Hey, I've been learning french for around 3.5 years now but I feel like I really need to improve my speaking and writing as my skill for those areas are so much lower than comprehension / listening
To be honest I'm also wonder if this is normal. For example, if someone were to say pretty much anything to me in french I would most likely understand all of it, and if not could guess specific vocab through context.
My reading is also similar and if anything I'm better at reading
My speaking/ writing however is completely different. My grammar is truth be told horrific especially when I'm in a rush and I'll usually spell words wrong
How can I fix this? Also little sidenote I didn't learn through immersion at all, I learnt the textbook way with a teacher and I write all the time I just always get it wrong.
