I don't usually post on Reddit but this thing in particular has been bugging me since I had to cancel my first order and I'm just feeling really bad about it.
It's been about 2 days since I ordered it, and something came up where I couldn't complete the order. Does this sort of thing inconvenience sellers, especially being notified so late into the purchase? I also know that a mark will appear in my reviews, and I actually already have a cancellation mark which I know will make me look bad as a buyer (but I did actually buy the item). So, I'd like to also ask if sellers look at buyer profiles to check their cancellations before allowing orders from them??
And if there's specific circumstances where you'd accept a cancellation and ones where you wouldn't, what would those be?

Hi Reddit! A few days ago i was getting home and was holding two oversized packages. I was struggling and there was a delivery man delivering food, who offered to help me. I said thank you as he helped me push my packages in the elevator, and thanked him again when I got to my floor. Today I received a knock on the door. A different delivery person was holding a bag for “mystery woman” and the bag had roses, chocolates + strawberries, and a teddy bear. He handed me a card that read something like “Hi I’m the guy who helped you with your packages the other night, saw your apartment number on the box I was helping you with, my name is X and I’m Y yrs old, and i work as Z but sometimes i deliver food because i don’t like staying at home…. Please ignore this is you’re much younger or have a boyfriend, if not here’s my number” Texted the number saying thank you but i have a boyfriend, but i still feel uneasy - this is someone I do not know who has my address. Thoughts? Any advice on whether i should contact police or something?

I was thinking on what kind of personality would other protoframes have if they were ever to be made. I considered Proto Gauss to either be a “pretty boy, I know I’m better and act like it”, or “a huge jokester that loves to prank the other protoframes” kind of personality.

2025.01.24 21:12 AlexN83 CRA Business Website - anyone having issues with T4???
Trying to do our annual T4 for our single employee (nanny) through webforms.
After putting in contact info, when I get to the form that asks what type of Filing, What Year, etc - there is literally no option under Filing type. It's an empty drop down... (normally this is where you choose T4)
I called CRA on Monday and they literally said it's a bug with their "new system" that should be fixed within the next few days. It never got fixed... if it's even a "bug".
Anyone else having this issue?

2025.01.24 21:12 Professor_Biccies Is there some reason why games with intrusive kernel anticheat software can't simply match us with other non-anticheat players?
Ideally they would provide server tools so 3rd servers can exist and define whatever anticheat mechanisms they like as many other games do. Barring that, what argument can they possibly make for not allowing us to simply opt out of their anticheat system?
It seems a pretty obvious solution to me, so if I can think of it I'm sure it will have occurred to e.g. Rockstar as well.

Howdy all,
Just posted a sec ago but have an extended question now:
We have cable internet and CAT5e cable through the house. The cable and telecom box with the Ethernet cable are next to each other outside, but the modem is at the other end of the house.
Is there a way to use the existing infrastructure to get all the ports where the CAT5e runs in the house to be connected to internet coming from there cable modem?
If not, what would be good next steps to get the system working?
