I'm trying to determine what species of octopus is featured in this video. It's a pretty famous video from 2010 where an octopus grabs a free diver's camera while it's recording, swims off with it, and inadvertently makes a movie. Given its large size and colour, I thought it was a Giant Pacific Octopus. However, the video was recorded near Wellington, New Zealand which might be too far south for a GPO. From my understanding GPO are found largely in the north pacific? Could it be a Maori Octopus? Any help would be very much appreciated! I am writing an essay about it and want to make sure I am specific as possible.

I’m not going to sugar coat this. Seeing Obama sitting there laughing with Trump and all the high level democrats and anti Trump republicans all dutifully lining up and submitting to the coup president is disgusting. There’s no other word for it. A month ago all of these people were calling Trump a fascist or an existential threat to Democracy, but the second the election ended they all just gave up and gave in.
Democrats adhere to procedure to a comical fault. Going to the inauguration, sitting there and paling around with the dude who four years ago tried to overthrow democracy and install himself king, these are not the actions of people who care about democracy. These are people who care about procedure. And they care about procedure even as the other party runs rough shod over every norm, every ethical boundary, and every procedure.
So what should they have done? Instead of going and bow down to the orange overlord, take a page out of his book from 2021 and hold your own separate event. Let your voters know the fight isn’t over. Give us some God Damn hope. Remind the American people that what’s been happening the past 9 year ISN’T. NORMAL. Play footage of Jan 6 from 2021, play Trump’s own statements about how the 2024 election he just freaking won was rigged.
DO. SOMETHING.
We are going to need all hands on deck to defeat republicans at the midterms. Things are still not quite so far gone that elections are still by far our best chance of defeating these authoritarians. But that can change by the day, earlier today a congressperson introduced an amendment change that would allow Trump to run for a 3rd term. These people will take everything from us if we let them. And right now, our leaders in the highest levels of the government would rather look at the pageantry and showmanship of the transfer of power to a wannabe dictator than acknowledge the implications of the transfer itself.

i guess i just need to lay down my feelings. my baby’s dad left me about a month ago (his reasoning was my post partum depression made him feel alone) and we have a rocky co-parenting relationship. he was the perfect man before we broke up. a lot of the arguments are my fault because his life is easy and pleasant and i struggle being a single mom. he sees his daughter maybe 8 hours a week, four hours max at a time. i really love him and care for him and i feel like he’s just having a mental breakdown from his responsibilities. what is the best way for me to play it to get back together in the future ?
for context (ive been asked before) im not unattractive after pregnancy. i weigh less now than i did before and i take care of my appearance and looks. our arguments are over things like him being talking to other girls already and being a deadbeat. he’s a good guy who does his best and id like us to work things out in about a year or so.
should i just avoid talking to him while he figures things out ? has anybody ever been in my situation and successfully worked things out and got back together ?

I know that many people have been called "RINOs" by the members of the Freedom Caucus. A friend of mine who once followed and agreed with the old "TEA" party as well as drank some of the koolaid of the Freedom Caucus came up with an acronym.
That acronym is "ASS". This stands for angry, scared sheep. She became disgusted as her mailbox was filled with the horrible postcards that maligned their competitors as well as the public who was disagreeing with their points of view. She also noticed that this group of people would feed off of each other. She told me that members by themselves, they were decent people. However as a group, they were like a herd of sheep. They stopped from being nice as one to a group of very angry people. They seemed not to be able to think for themselves but needed the group to talk for the one. Reminds you as a flock of sheep.
Think of the things that can be done with this acronym. The RINOs kicking the ASSes. I'm sure that there are some other ones that people that can up with.
