2025.01.24 21:21 FadingHeaven Would you rather work 80 hours a week doing a physically and/or mentally stressful job, but make all the money you could ever want or work 28 hours a week working your dream job with a salary where you're only just scraping by?
The hard job has you working 7 days a week with 2 weeks paid vacation every year and 5 paid sick days. The job is very physically and/or mentally stressful depending on what would be worse for you. But it gives you all the money you could need plus enough so that after 15 years of work you can retire comfortably. Your boss is an asshole and your coworkers are insufferable. You have to work through public holidays unless you can manage to book your vacation on those days.
The dream job has to be an actual job of some sort You work 4 day weeks for 7 hours a day. You get 4 weeks off a year, 15 days paid sick leave, a great boss and nice co-workers if applicable. You're only just scraping by though. You only make enough to retire at 65 with a modest pension. You only barely have enough to support your needs and a handful of wants. Though the needs it covers are just basic requirements to live (e.g. you can cover staples for groceries but not a bunch of prepackaged expensive foods). You would not be able to support a spouse or child without going into poverty unless your partner works. You pay increases or decreases with inflation to ensure this will always be true.

2025.01.24 21:21 Fun-Mathematician816 Should I give my cat all his food at once or multiple times a day?
Our cat has an automatic feeder that gives him 10 grams every few hours of dry food. We try not to give him over 70g of food per day so he gets 7 meals from his feeder (we have a tendency to give in a bit and cheat with a bit of extra food or healthy treats). The problem is that he constantly meows like he's hungry. Over time, he's started developing other worrying behaviors:
He lays in front of the feeder and just waits He meows and follows us to the kitchen every time He eats EXTREMELY fast. Like he doesn't even chew his food He started looking at the garbage bag and tries to steal food, something he's never done before
Tonight I tried to lead him out of the kitchen so he wouldn't gnaw on the garbage bag. When I set him down to close the door, he bolted in it and looked at me; his tail flared up, afraid I would cut him off his food source. So we calmed the little guy down and assured him we wouldn't attempt to close the door again (it's recent; we're only doing that so he doesn't just eat plastic) and are now wondering what we're doing wrong here.
We're afraid to try and simply give him all of his food in the morning and let him regulate himself throughout the day. I'm afraid he's obsessed with waiting for the next meal, and maybe trusting him to be able to regulate himself might be the best solution. We could also consider giving him a good portion for the day and one last big meal at night when we get home. Does this work for anyone else? We want to be sure that he's okay asap because we also want to adopt a friend for him to grow up with, and we don't want to make the same mistakes with food. Ideally, we want them both on the same rhythm.

this will probably get downvoted to hell, but genuine question:
clubs and bars didn't used to charge a cover for women, but now a lot of them do. I find this kind of an insulting money grab disguised as feminism, the basic economic principle for charging only men a cover is simple: the men are going to see the women and pick up girls. Objectifying? Yes. But so is everything else about society, and the men in the club are going to objectify me whether I pay or not. So, on principle, I dont want to pay a cover for a club or bar.
are there any bars/clubs that either don't charge a cover at all or that don't charge women?

Reddit might not be that huge in germany but why not at least try. So basically i'm looking for woman who would love to help me gain experience. So far when it comes to intimate stuff, i have only done kissing since i get quite shy and i'm also not the kind of guy who just goes up to girls and starts flirting.
I dont really have a prefered age for you to be as long as u are 18+. Let's stop being obtuse and pretending that Yuri is only friends with Kitty, her friendship and emotional connection to Kitty is what leads to the romantic feelings - which is a real thing and why they kissed. Yuri's feelings have not yet gotten to be dealt with, and for sure they will be touched on in season 3 (which is why the writers took Juliana off the table and put her with Praveena - and in case people haven't noticed this is the same thing they did by pairing up Dae with Eunice).
If people continue to insist that Yuri doesn't have romantic feelings for Kitty, that is a them problem. They are clearly pushing an agenda, and not being honest about the show we are all watching.

Hey all, so I've just applied for a low cost home ownership, the council have said I fit the criteria and eligibility shouldn't be a problem, I have a MIP that was sorted by a broker, only now realise that the broker told the lender that is was a shared ownership and not low cost home ownership. The lender has now told us that they won't accept applications to lend on the LCHO scheme, since then I've contacted multiple lenders and it seems not one of them want to touch this scheme. Just wondering if anyone has any advice or knows of a lender who will lend for these types of properties. Any advice welcome and thanks in advance.
