I've been looking for a new game to play with my new Pixel 9 Fold, but I feel like a lot the games I find on the play store nowadays are one or multiple of the following: generic, low budget, gacha, open world, idle rpg, merge, clone, overly complex.
I want something that feels actually interesting and unique like Cut the Rope or Angry Birds from back in the day when mobile gaming was still new. These were charming games that tried to take advantage of the platform they were on.
Is this what it feels like to get old? :P

With the announcement of a new ACOTAR book, speculation is running wild about what’s next for our favorite (and not-so-favorite) characters. One character I keep coming back to is Tamlin. Love him or hate him, his arc is riddled with unresolved trauma and potential for redemption. I think the upcoming book might set up Tamlin being enslaved by the mortal queens, mirroring Rhysand’s enslavement by Amarantha—but with a twist.
Here’s why I think this could happn:
1. Tamlin’s Emotional Vulnerability By the end of A Court of Silver Flames, Tamlin is a shadow of his former self. He’s alone, broken, and haunted by his past choices, particularly his treatment of Feyre and his failure to protect his court. He’s been rejected by the Night Court, the Spring Court is in shambles, and he has no allies. This emotional vulnerability makes him the perfect target for manipluation.
The mortal queens, cunning as they are, could exploit Tamlin’s guilt and desperation. Imagine them offering him an opportunity to “make things right”—perhaps by giving him the power to rebuild his court or protect it from an external threat. Tamlin, always driven by his sense of duty, might be tempted to strike a bargain, not realizing the queens’ true intentions untl it’s too late.
2. Parallels to Rhysand’s Storyline Sarah J. Maas loves weaving parallels between her characters, and Tamlin being enslaved by the mortal queens would mirror Rhysand’s time under Amarantha. However, where Rhys’s enslavement was a calculated sacrifice to protect Velaris, Tamlin’s could come from a place of desperaton and misplaced trust.
This contrast would emphasize how far Tamlin has fallen since his time as the golden boy of the Spring Court. It could also highlight the differences in how Tamlin and Rhysand handle power, manipulation, and redemption. Rhys used his enslavement to protect his people and maintain a façade of loyalty, while Tamlin might initialy succumb to the queens’ control before finding the strength to fight back.
3. The Mortal Queens Need a New Weapon The mortal queens remain a significant threat, and they’re bound to play a major role in the new book. After their defeat in A Court of Wings and Ruin, they’re likely looking for ways to regain power and strike back againt Prythian.
Tamlin, as a disgraced High Lord, would be a valuable pawn in their game. Not only is he powerful, but his history with the Night Court gives the queens a way to sow discord among the courts. Imagine Tamlin being forced to fight against Feyre, Rhysand, or even Lucien under the queens’ contrl. The emotional stakes would be sky-high.
4. A Path to Redemption Tamlin’s redemption arc has been a long time coming. While he’s made terrible mistakes, he’s not irredeemable. Being enslaved by the queens could provide him with an opportunity to prove his worth—not by seeking Feyre’s forgiveness, but by fightng for something greater than himself.
Picture this: Tamlin, enslaved and manipulated by the queens, gradually regains his agency. He realizes the extent of their cruelty and begins sabotaging their plans from within, even at great personal cost. Perhaps he ultimately sacrfices himself to protect Prythian, the Spring Court, or even Feyre and her family. This act of selflessness would bring his arc full circle, showing that he’s capable of growth and redemption.
5. The Narrative Potential From a storytelling perspective, Tamlin being enslaved by the queens opens up endless possibilities. It would deepen the lore around the mortal queens, add complexity to Tamlin’s character, and raise the stakes for the other courts. How would Feyre and Rhysand react to seeing Tamlin in this position? Would they risk their own safety to save him, or would they see it as karma for his past actions?
Moreover, this storyline could explore themes of forgivness, sacrifice, and the cyclical nature of power. Just as Rhysand once endured unimaginable suffering to protect his people, Tamlin could have his own moment of reckoning, proving that even those who fall from grace can rise agan.
While this is just a theory, I can’t help but feel like Tamlin’s story isn’t over. His character is too complex to be left as the bitter, broken figure we last saw. If Sarah J. Maas truly intends to give him a redemption arc, having him enslaved by the mortal queens could be the perfect way to challenge him, mirror past storylines, and set the stage for his ultimate growth.

I feel like I’m at the hospital just to pump. I’m busting my ass trying to increase my milk supply and I really want to be successful. My twins were born at 24+2 and are now 29+2. I feel like I’m just always in the chair attached to the pump or washing the parts. I’m able to participate in cares sometimes since I can schedule around that, but the nurses come in to give them shots or take their blood and I want to comfort them so bad but I’m just stuck to the chair watching them comfort my kids. They are now on opposite sides of the unit due to one baby being sicker than the other. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve been able to hold them (combined). I usually don’t mention it because the nurses want us to hold for a long period time since it’s such a chore to get them out with the jet ventilator. My husband held one of them for 4 hours straight last week. I’m not able to do that because I have to pump every 2-3 hours. Pumping actually takes 30-45 minutes with cleaning everything so it’s not like I have 3 hours of free time between sessions. It’s so hard to be able to be able to eat, pump, and be able to take care of them. Any advice would be great because I’m drowning and feeling so guilty.
