Tax returns and company bonus coming in around March. I’m looking to get a new hybrid, some fairway woods, and a new driver. Would love to get some input on you guys’ favorite brands/models. I have heard really good things about Titleist woods/driver. My dad has a TSR2 that I have hit a few times and liked it. I also really like Taylor Mades (never hit any but seen and heard good things). Kind looking for a mix of forgiveness and control. Distance isn’t a major issue for me. Very open to any suggestions!

I saw a post on the DXM sub that was about some dudes gf making him quit dxm and a lot of the top comments were along the lines of "your girlfriend is manipulating you". Personally I thought it was a retarded dxm circlejerk, but it made me think, does dxm have any medicinal value in it? I mean it really helped me through some rough times but It also makes you delusional and blinds you to certain aspects of sober living that make your life worth living. Obviously using it in moderation is important and negates a lot of negative effects but I just don't know if it's worth it.

This is my second week in college, I could never survive. I’m way too slow and behind , I’ve got a learning disorder. (Don’t want to become part time student and take longer, also I feel like I can only handle a so what ppl say a “useless degree” so why even go?) Teachers give out way too many assignments and if college is literally built that way , I would never survive. I tried to make it manageable by dropping classes and trying to find easy professors. But I feel like that not a way to survive in the college system. That’s to say I’m not cut for it. I’ve heard abt trades but I’m too small it would literally tear me apart. Is there anyone out there who’s also considered “slow” and have a career and can give any suggestions for a slow person? Is there also anything that can generate passive income?

Hi everyone,
I thought I'd do a little write up on Shear Revival's Upstate Blues as I saw some posts bring it to my attention so I grabbed a 1oz jar during black friday and wanted to give some of my thoughts about it. If you want a tldr, I will have one at the bottom as well.
So first impressions on opening the jar was a pretty standard SR product, neat jar with product. I'll circle back on this topic later but the scent is supposed to be "lime, cedarwood and blue tansy". Its something alright. On first use I really liked the feel of the product, its quite soft and malleable, easy to work into the hands and into my hair. Context: I style my hair as tight on the sides with a sidepart combover (asian hair), longest hairs over the top is like 5-6 inches, otherwise quite short. If you've ever used a traditional wax or SR Gray ghost, this is way less tackier. I would say not tacky at all, I found it really easy to apply and style my hair (damp/towel dried). I have also applied it to completely dry hair and it is a bit more difficult vs damp but is still very easy in my experience. You can create a pretty slick/neat style with it's hold and its quite a neutral to natural shine as per the product description which is great. Its definitely not matte or dull either.
So let's talk about the hold. I think its hold is noticeably lower than gray ghost (will be using this as reference a lot), but is very solid/firm. I found it harder to get texture in the hair as the hold was less but worked very well to slick hair back or keep it neat. A big positive I felt was that its a very "light" product to me. When you work it in your hair, it barely feels like there is any weight or product in my hair, very natural feeling. As opposed to gray ghost, you can feel some weight/product holding you hair together. Upstate blues created almost a very thin shell of hair, (like if you were to press down on your hair gently after applying) theres a thin firmness that is reworkable and light. Whereas gray ghost resulted in a harder shell almost reminscent of a lighter hold hair spray application. I can go through a 9 hour workday and its held quite well, of course the volume deflates more vs gray ghost but it does admirably since gray ghost doesn't hold the volume perfectly either. Very reworkable. Also a short 1hour stint in the gym it will keep things together for the most part. If you shake your head vigourosly, your hair will fly, but you can generally work it back into the shape you need it to be. If Gray Ghost is 5/5 hold then this is abolutely correct in being just a step down, closer to 4/5 hold.
The most conflicting part for me (and subjective) is the scent. Upon description it seemed like it would be just fine but damn. I did not particularly enjoy the scent. Everyone's sense of smell is different but for me, it smelled like a very artificial cedar, and something herbal/dried herbs. I've never smelled a blue tansy before but I don't think I found any lime either. If I had to describe it, it would smell more like incense. You could stretch it to a very chemical/artificial cedar. Now that inherently is not a bad thing, I don't think the smell is "bad" but I wouldn't say "good" to me either. The biggest issue I had with this product is how pungent the scent is. Now for reference, I use like a finger scoop of product, probably on the lower end of product use. The scent is strong. It is very easily smelled in a 100 sq ft room. And people notice. I had multiple people asking what the smell was etc, and in my sample of experiences, they did not particularly like the smell either. Now its not like gray ghost doesn't have a scent either, but for one thing I like the smell better, a citrusy smell but also it would dissapate over like 30min to 1hr. Upstate blues does not. After a full work day (9 hours) you can still smell it easily. Wind blows by and you're hit with the scent. And people are hit with it too. You get into a car, it will become the dominant scent unless you're blasting air freshener or windows open.
(TLDR) So I'm quite conflicted to be honest with this product. I really like the ease of working the product in, the hold is quite good if your hairstyle demands match, but I find myself not using it often due to the scent. If I was spending more time outdoors maybe it would be better. If I liked the smell, this would be a 5/5 product (relative to its description and purpose), but for me its a 3/5 because I can't use it often due to a) not liking the scent and its strength and b) it is an issue in the workplace.
Feel free to let me know your thoughts/experiences with this product below! I've read some posts in this subreddit liking upstate blues and its ease of application which I 100% agree with, but found that the scent was rarely touched upon which I feel is a big deal.

Hi there, I just completed my first day as a Sales Representative for Spectrum. Not sure if anyone else is in this boat, but there's a few key differences between my hiring process versus directly getting hired by Spectrum, from what little I know so far: -- I was hired by a marketing services agency, who was hired by Spectrum to train reps to help manage sales areas and grow sales directly through word-of-mouth, face-to-face interactions -- I trained with a team today, and we set up a little podium near the electronics sections of Walmart to directly engage with potential and existing clients -- I was told there is no hourly pay, but pay is based mainly on commissions, which have been increased recently, especially for Internet sales I'm currently based out of New Orleans, with all sales taking place on the North Shore.
Ive never been in a sales rep position, ever, and not quite like this. It seems like getting directly hired by Spectrum has a better sign on bonus, training and sales. I'm really looking for advice or encouragement, because I'm not sure about this job. Or maybe I'm just looking for something to be wrong with it lol. But can this kind of position, working for an agency, really net me good money? Will the pay be worth it?
I come from a hospitality/restaurant/retail background too, so it's compatible.
Tl;Dr: I started a Spectrum sales rep job, got hired by a New Orleans based marketing agency instead of Spectrum directly. Is this job going to pay? Should I stick with it? Advice?

Hi everyone!
BACKSTORY: I’ve had my collie mix since she was 5 months old and I had adopted a 3 year old GSD a year or so ago but at the time we lived in a tiny apartment and it didn’t end up working out with him. Luckily my mom was able to take him in and he’s very healthy and happy!!
I’m at a bit of a crossroads right now and am needing some advice. I currently have a border collie/shepherd mix that is 2 years old. I’m looking into getting a 8 week old Australian Shepherd from a breeder. I got all his supplies ready and things like that but I’m suddenly getting hit with second thoughts. I, personally, really want a puppy and have always wanted to raise one but I also want to get my girl a friend because since my GSD left, she’s been a bit moody and sad. I just moved into a house with a huge backyard but I’m feeling a little weird about getting a puppy after what happened with my GSD. I don’t want to be a bad parent and I have a lot of guilt over what happened with my previous dog. I’m also worried that my current girl is going to be jealous, she showed signs of jealousy (not aggression just some pushing away and trying to grab attention) with our GSD but they got along great and were genuine bestfriends.
Note: Just because I know someone will ask, we didn’t know we would move into a house at the time of giving up our GSD, the move snuck up on us and we actually ended up moving states as well.
