2025.01.26 07:51 BKLYNLink First time playing Circle of the Moon, DSS question.
Just got an Analogue Pocket and decided to tackle the various Castlevania games available. Just started CotM (Circle of the Moon) last week and am really enjoying myself.
Only question I have is how were you suppose to figure out how to use the Apollo card combinations?
I figured out the other card combinations through trial and error mostly (the health regen actually came to me when I finally stopped attacking stuff trying to activate it's power). But for the life of me I couldn't figure out the "bomb" aspect of the Apollo combination.
Obviously in this day and age I just Googled it but I was wondering how was a player (back when it came out) was suppose to figure it out? I looked up the manual online, but it doesn't mention doing the button combination needed. Is there a hint in game that I might have missed? Anybody who played back then that could enlighten me? Thanks in advance.

I am currently using an iPhone 13. I had to change the screen. The quality of my phone has reduced a lot. It is overheating a lot. Battery quickly drains. I am planning to switch to a Pixel 9.
I want to know, if anyone of you are already using a Pixel? I heard, it has some network issues. Is this a regional issue? And also, I heard that parts for repairing in Sri Lanka for Google Pixel are very expensive. If you are using one, where did you get it from? Are there any authorized sellers of Google Pixel in Sri Lanka?

For quite some time I have had a zombie tribal/recursion deck that I have been slowly updating and critiquing, but I still think better cards can be added to this deck. There are a few cards in this deck (like Tombstone Stairwell for example) that I know aren't the best at all, but I like including them in the deck bc I think its unique, and there are also cards (like Time Warp) that I know are really good cards, but feel odd in the deck. I'm jealous of plain-looking people, who are happy with who they are. I'm jealous of smart, witty, observant people (I should just dye my hair blonde so I can fit the airhead stereotype better) I'll even admit how much I'm jealous of males. I think I should have been born one, so I can have more logic over emotion. I equally envy homosexual females for the same reason. I hate people who are born between Capricorn-Virgo, because I'm convinced Libras are wimpy losers. And I am convinced, if there is something right with pathetic, aspie me, there is something WRONG!! !!

I am bringing my family with me to this new location. The $300 per week living away from home allowance barely covers the cost of the car rental and so we are definitely spending more than $300 per week on food and travel expenses. I’d like to know if I can claim on tax all our meal and travel expenses or would it only be the expenses that are over the $300 per week LAFHA. Thank you!

Hey Reddit,
I'm at a bit of a crossroads in life and could really use some advice. I've been working as a programmer for the past 7 years and, honestly, I feel like I suck at it. Over these 7 years, I've worked at 7 different companies, which I know sounds like a lot. Part of it is chasing better opportunities, and part of it is not feeling like I fit in or perform well enough.
The constant cycle of learning new tech stacks, meeting expectations, and dealing with imposter syndrome has taken a toll on me. I can't help but feel like I’m just not cut out for this field. I’m 29 now, and while I initially thought I’d build a solid career in tech, I’m not so sure anymore.
I’m considering switching to a different career path but don’t really know where to start.
Here’s a bit more about me:
- I have a background in frontend development, mostly React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
- I’ve worked on a range of projects, from micro frontends to marketplace apps.
- I own a house (so at least I’m not paying off an EMI).
- I don't intend on getting married or having kids ever.
Appreciate any guidance or perspective you can share.
