2025.01.25 01:21 Due_Community_3755 Wireless phone charger fire
I bought my child a wireless power bank for his Iphone off of Amazon. It worked perfectly fine until this week. Within 10 minutes of him charging his phone with it, it literally exploded and burst into flames. Thankfully we were able to get the fire put out and my son is ok but the fire did quite a bit of damage to my carpet and wall. I have contacted Amazon and waiting on a call back and they recommended I also reach out to the manufacturer which i have done. They both requested photos which i was happy to send them and both were shocked and very apologetic. My question is who is responsible for the damages to my home? Amazons legal dept is supposed to be contacting me and the manufacturer is asking for receipts for the items ruined in the fire. Obviously i don’t have receipts for my carpet and wall so not sure what to do. They can clearly see in the photos the damage. I have also requested the charger be recalled. The manufacturer responded saying that they are not going to sell the charger anymore and it was already removed from Amazon before the fire we had which makes me believe they knew it was faulty but did not warn people that has already purchased it. Thoughts?

We are approved for a 450K (315K Loan) home without contingency of an offer on our current home since we wanted the ability to act. What do you think we would be approved for if we had a guaranteed offer or has already sold and received the proceeds of our current home? Some of the homes we like the look of are in the 450-550K range.
We currently owe 75K and are hoping for a 300K sale.
We are currently around 160K HHI with only a 300 monthly car bill and 100k in cash accessible savings.

2025.01.25 01:21 ENTertainmENTProducr I love this series
I started my journey with DKC on the SNES growing up and I played both DKC 1 and 2. I never owned DKC3 or played Returns when it came out on the Wii. I’ve been replaying them again on my analogue pocket dock with the CRT filter and I’ve finally beat DKC2 for the first time after 25 years 😂.
As a kid I never could beat the world with King Zing because I didn’t know to farm lives before saving in the new world. I would lose a ton of lives on the roller coaster level and by the time I got the boss I was out of lives.
I started playing DKC3 before returns HD came out but temporarily stopped to play returns. I’ll go back to 3 after I beat returns. I’m currently on world 8 now and will probably try to get the remaining KONG letters to unlock the extra world. I’m having a blast playing all of these games again. DKC is one of my comfort games and really reminds me of my childhood playing with my friends.
Returns really is a great game with some bullshit ass moments (I’m looking at you rocket barrel 😂) but overall still really having fun with it. Some great levels and fun gimmicks. Also pretty damn challenging. Some definitely harder than the hardest moments of DKC2. I hated toxic tower and several levels of DKCR have been on a similar level of frustration.
I bought TF on WiiU back in the day and I started it and was enjoying it and then I got a switch and the Wii U sat forever. I then rebought the game on Switch but then didn’t want to play it until returns came out because I know it would be better to play them all in order again.
I’ve been playing with my official switch online SNES controller on my pocket and my Japanese imported official switch online Super Famicom controller on the switch itself. I can’t play 2D platformers without them. It just feels right.
Overall I’m loving revisiting the classics and playing the newer ones with a deeper appreciation for the series. Here’s to hoping for a new game (both 3D and DKC game) on Switch 2.

For context; I had downloaded County Story: Merge & Cooking yesterday, and found that even though I allowed tracking, the game isn’t tracking at all, in fact Swagbucks hasn’t even checked off being installed. This isn’t the first app to act like this as of late either, as I recall Domino Dream did this to me as well. Not exactly happy I’m losing out on two offers.
Is this happening for anybody else? Is tracking in general acting up? Is there a solution to a game not being registered as installed?
