So i have been watching Jon for a long time now. Almost exclusively his videos, from his channel days through his SB Nation days and now on Secret Base. Im wayyyy too broke to get the patreon stuff so I have to wait for a long time for the new videos.. Too long.. So after the Jon Bois' videos dropped in quantity last month, i actually went back and tried some of his very old stuff from his SB nation days and i understood that im missing out on some gems after reading the 17776/20020 absolute masterpieces. I saw some people recommending The Tim Tebow chronicles which what's next for me now but seeing his profile back then there is 516 different pages of 10 articles each (!!!) and im sure all of them are worth a read but some recommendations of the best ones would be highly appreciated

So there's this weird rule with UMGC where if you need verification of your GED with scores you can't just go to GED.com and pay to download the record and then send the record to the school like every other college.
For some reason they seem to think these PDFs can be falsified.
So how did you get your records to the school, people with GED's? I'm in need of real assistance and I wanna know how you got around this stupid PAITA rule.

2025.01.25 01:05 silverfoxxflame Parasitic Drain in bluetooth... can I just take the fuse out?
Hello, I drive an acura TSX 2008.
Sent it into a shop for routine maintenance and to check out something that started draining my battery suddenly. According to them, something happened with the bluetooth module that is now draining the battery even when it's off. If I don't run the car every other day at worst, my battery will be dead and it won't start.
They did the diagnostic, found its in the bluetooth module, but say they don't do electrical work to take care of it and referred me elsewhere. I have no interest in using the bluetooth; it's so old that it doesn't work with modern phones anyways. My question is... is there just an easy way to turn this off by snipping and capping wires to it/taking the fuse out of the module, or is there a lot going on and it will take a lot of work to get it done?

Newbie here - I'm using an M1 Mac Mini as a Plex server with an external 10TB HDD for media storage, but that's filling up faster than I expected and I'm not sure how to handle the inevitable need for more storage space. Instead of buying another external HDD, I'm considering a Terramaster D4-320 DAS.
I've read a little about NAS vs DAS, but I like using the Mac Mini and I really just want more storage. I'm not super computer savvy so learning about setting up a NAS is a little intimidating considering I don't even know how to set up the arr's on my Mac.
The DAS would be a big investment, so I'd like to hear from more knowledgeable people than myself about whether I'd be making the right decision over a NAS. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

I have a bit of a interesting thing going on. My Lipoprotein (A) came in at 179.0 nmol which is twice the low end of the high range. It is pretty bad.
I broke down my genetic report from 23&me and discovered I do not have positive LP(A) genes. At least the two that are the most studied and mentioned as genetic factors. These two:
HEART Lp(a) Lipoprotein (a) Genotype Report
rs3798220 T/T GOOD
rs10455872 A/A GOOD
I know there could be others but I would need a separate test for those. Only my grandfather has had a heart event and that was in his late 60s (heavy heavy smoker). My grandpa lived to 97 and my 2 grandmas to 88.
My mom (70) and my dad (75) have zero heart issues. I am wondering what could be going on here for me to get such a high result. Not just elevated but twice the high number.
A few ideas:
1.) I just got through COVID 2 weeks prior to the test. Could have elevated it? Maybe a retest is in order?
2.) I am a 41 year old woman and could be getting into premenopausal status and that has been known to increase LP(A) due to drop of estrogen?
3.) One of my parents has it and never really showed signs of it in their live and in past histories.
4.) Hypothyroidism can also increase numbers. My dad had this when he was in his 60s and still takes medication for it. I show no signs but he did not either until a blood test.
So many different theories. Would be nice to be able to really hone in on one.

I just started playing the sims 3 again after like 10+ years. My sim met Vita Alto at work and I invited her and her husband over, after they left I got a pop up saying Holly Alto died. I have so many questions and really want to know what she died of but I have no idea how to go about doing this. I can't seem to find any answers online. I tried playing as them to see if it said anything on the family tree or if they had her gravestone but I couldn't find anything. They don't even seem upset 💀 but she is GONE.
I don't have any mods or anything I literally just started playing. I can't remember anything like this happening when I've played before so I was genuinely take off guard.
