2025.01.26 06:10 thoughts4food Has Rogan talked about any recent psychedelic experiences?
I used to listen to Rogan religiously up until around 2019 or so. I remember hearing his first interview with Musk and having my mind blown that he actually got the guy to smoke weed on his show. (I think this was a pivotal moment for Musk).
One of the original things that got me interested in Joe was his openness about psychedelics and sharing his experiences/being so open about this subject. This goes way way back to around 2013 or so.
Hearing how his show has apparently gone off a right wing conspiracy deep end lately has been unfortunate but has also made me wonder what happened to Joe of old?
He used to be very progressive and a "one love" sort of approach to life. I loved listening to him when he would talk about controversial topics and always make sure that a reasonable approach to the topic prevailed. Even on topics I disagreed with, it honestly made me a more open and honest individual. This was many years ago for any of you wanting to laugh at this notion.
One of the topics I seem to remember him speaking very highly of and referencing very often were personal psychedelic experiences. These seemed to keep him grounded and honest. I loved his insight
Are psychedelics still a practice of his or has he mostly ignored that topic in recent years?

Subaru 2017 Crosstrek. Got a flat on Friday. AAA came and put the donut on from the trunk. We took it to a tire place to buy a proper tire, and they couldn't get the donut off--said AAA screwed it in too tight. Called AAA to come back and unscrew the lug nuts, one of them actually broke. The tech said to take it to a mechanic and have them break it off and put the new tire on and that he sees this a lot with Subarus. He was saying something about reimbursing too, that we shouldn't pay a dime, so OK...but this all seems like so much hassle for a flat tire, and I don't have a ton of trust in AAA right now. Does all of this sound legitimate, and does anyone have experience getting AAA to reimburse?

2025.01.26 06:10 lukewines I’m self hosting a website that tracks everything the US President does. Here’s how it works.
 | The server is an old computer of mine that’s been fitted into my home server rack (see photo). It has an i7-7700k, 16GB DDR4, a 256GB SSD, and a GTX 1080. The server is running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. I use OpenLiteSpeed to serve the actual website itself. The site communicates to a backend flask server that runs locally on the machine and processes all the necessary information the site needs to function, including the notification features. This is then proxied through OpenLiteSpeed to avoid any CORS errors. My router is running OpenWRT with Cloudflare Zero Trust installed. This allows me to route my domain to the local ip of my server without ever port forwarding or revealing my local network in any meaningful way. OpenLiteSpeed actually functions as a reverse proxy, I host my portfolio off of the same server and OpenLiteSpeed routes traffic based off of the domain. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you really enjoy tinkering with this stuff because it can be a pain and it’s probably cheaper to use a reputable hosting service, especially when counting setup and maintenance hours. For reference the last game I bought within 2 years of its release was Skyrim back in 2011. I bought LC and joined a lobby and it was the best experience I've had in a long time. It reminded me of joining a really great lobby on Black Ops 1, the Ascension map. Everyone knew what they were good at, everyone joked around, everyone had a different personality. I felt Like I was 13 again. My wife was laying on my lap as I was playing which felt surreal.
There's no drug that hits like childhood nostalgia.
