2025.01.27 04:01 Dan185818 Game vs World Eaters.
So I had my first game against World Eaters today, which I squeaked out a win in. I had to go first, and we ended up with basically nothing on the left half the board. Literally he had a unit of cultists, and as a reaction to his placement of two rhinos, predator, demon Prince and Angron on the right, I ended up with 5 intercessors, and basically in the center, I had a replusor with Judiciar with 6 blade guard and 3 eradicators.
On the right I had 10 AIs with Ragnar and Lt, 10 wolf guard with Ulric, Bjorn, and 5 intercessors. Murderfang, inceptors, and 10 Jump pack intercessors were in reserve.
Keys to success
- First ever use of heroic intervention. I got secure no man's land so I moved up slightly with the regular intercessors to grab the objective. He then brought the team down, and the demon Prince was looking ready to eat intercessors. My wolf guard heroicly intervened, and there was one less demon prince after the Wolf Guard went.
- Intercessors took out the cultists on the isolated left, but then there were 5 terminators and a unit of 10 Jackals. I rapid ingressed Murderfang over in that area. Shooting took enough jackals it that Murderfang ended up not making an 8 inch charge. This failed charge (with 3) won me the game because Murderfang was able to score 5 primary VP on my 5th turn. On my 4th turn, I deep struck the JPI with a Captain to achieve Saga of Majesty (which then promptly diest to Angron after killing an Exalted eightbound with pistols). I won by 3 points.
- Tempting my opponent to try and kill Bjorn first so I could Counter Offensive whith Murderfang before the 5 terminators went. He drew marked for death, and I picked Bjorn as one of the three. His Khorne berserkers had surrounded Bjorn, the terminators were in melee with Murderfang. I made sure to tell him I had 2 for and would likely be using counter offensive. He picked the berserkers, I double checked. He said yes. Bjorn, as always, is a beast and lived with 3 wounds (getting me my last saga, incidentally, then Murderfang killed 2 terminators, allowing him to live through the 3 remaining, and then he Made Murder and rolled better, picking up the 3 remaining guys.
In the WTF column... I killed Angron in turn 2... And my opponent rolled FIVE sixes in his next blessings roll, so Angron came back. Killed him turn 5 since a Repulsor with las-talon and las cannons and a 3 eradicators within melta range were able to handle him. Luckily pulling the eradicators into the Replusor kept them alive for two turns.
Overall a good game, glad the Wolves showed the enemy what was up

Don't have your fucking auto-save system function while enemies are aggro. Im now stuck in an infinite loop of dying, reloading, and immediately dying again because it decided to overwrite my last autosave while i was surrounded by wolves.
This is basic game development, you don't design the save system in a way that can brick the save.

I'm building a werewolf deck with [[Tovolar, Dire Overlord]] as the commander. I'm looking through the deck list, and one of the cards in it is [[Moonmist]]. It says to "Transform all humans. Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt this turn by creatures other than wolves or werewolves. (Only double-faced cards can be transformed.)"
The confusion I'm having is how this interacts with "Daybound/Nightbound," as this is a mechanic that doesn't seem to jive with this card. When a card that cares about Day or Night enters, and is told to transform by another card (even when time of day isn't changing), would all creatures transform regardless? Or does time of day supercede this command?

Have you experienced any deaths? How much planaria did you have when it caused deaths? What did they kill? Or have you only caught them eating ones who are already dead? I’m wondering, if the population is kept low, how much of a threat are they really? I read someone’s comment in a thread who said the planaria haven’t affected their tank inhabitants and just keep the traps in to keep the numbers low.
I saw 3, each by themselves crawling around, on separate days. This was my first sighting 2 or 3 months ago. When I put in the glass tube traps, I caught 4 the first 2 times (8 total). Then only 2 the next couple times. I would say the amount I have is very minimal, or at least they stay in the substrate because I rarely see them but when I do it’s 1 at a time. I say minimal because I’ve seen some pictures of others who have their tubes jam packed or they have tons crawling on the glass and substrate. I put a couple crushed bladders, an algae water and a protein+calcium wafer in the trap.
I have Rams, Nerites, Mysteries, Bladders, MTS and Amano shrimp. No deaths so far and as for the tiny snails, I haven’t found piles of shells.

Some days are easier than others, and each day I only get through because of God who is my Strength.
It's almost one year since it all ended, the most fast, most intense train wreck of a relationship with my first love.
My phone. It decided to remind me today of him, a picture from one year ago today. It messed me up.
I don't even know what I feel anymore.
It wouldn't work if we tried again, unless God does a miracle. It didn't even work the first time and it left me as almost a shell of myself, waking up each day feeling hazy and not myself, constantly consumed by him and what he needed.
And if I think hard enough, I don't know if he really liked me or loved me like he said. Sometimes I wonder if I was just the best option in his bad situation, and he figured he could fix me up to his liking.
But I loved him. Maybe I didn't know all of him, but the more I learned, the more I CHOSE to love. Because it is a choice.
So I don't know what I feel, but I'm trying my best to keep going, and to do it with Christ Jesus this time, because that's the only way I'll make it through.
And when I get to Heaven, God-willing, this won't matter to me anyway. There are things so much more essential.
My mind knows. My heart is still learning.
