Welcome to this non-real time meeting of Overeaters Anonymous! I'm u/FoundationDone0523. I’m a compulsive eater and your leader for this meeting.

We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively. There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology, or religious doctrine; we take no position on outside issues. Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.

The Twelve Traditions of Overeaters Anonymous
Abstinence in Overeaters Anonymous is the action of refraining from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors while working towards or maintaining a healthy body weight. Spiritual, emotional, and physical recovery is the result of living the Overeaters Anonymous Twelve Step program.
The OA tools of recovery help us work the Steps and refrain from compulsive overeating. The nine tools are: a plan of eating, sponsorship, meetings, telephone, writing, literature, an action plan, anonymity, and service. For more information, read The Tools of Recovery OA page.
Sponsorship is one of our keys to success. Sponsors are OA members committed to abstinence and to living the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions to the best of their ability. Sponsors share their program up to the level of their experience and strengthen their recovery through this service to others. To find a sponsor, look for someone who has what you want and ask how he or she is achieving it. Will all abstinent sponsors please identify themselves in their post?
According to our Seventh Tradition, we are self-supporting through our own contributions. Our group number is 99038. Please use the group number when making your contribution. As our virtual group currently has no expenses please consider donating directly through this link to the OA World Service Office, who provides resources for OA groups all around the world to carry the message to other compulsive overeaters.
Suggested guidelines for sharing: As you share your experience and strength in OA, please also share your hope. Please confine your sharing to your experience with the disease of compulsive eating, the solution offered by OA, and your own recovery from the disease, rather than just the events of the day or week. When responding to other member’s posts, please focus on your personal experience rather than advice giving. If you are having difficulties, share how you use the program to deal with them. If you need to talk more about your difficulties and seek solutions, we suggest you speak to your sponsor and other members after the meeting.

I ordered this 32GB DDR5 kit from Amazon straight from Crucial storefront. When I go to check the exact same listing it now says it is for DDR4 ram instead but the listing still has information for the DDR5 ram and DDR5 ram pictures in the listing.
You can see scrolling through the listing that while it says it is DDR4 ram now, the pictures are DDR5 and even the color choice option still has the (6000mhz) so I know it’s the same listing and i’m not confused or clicked a DDR4 one, plus it says I purchased 1 before up top and in my order history it lists it as DDR5. What could be happening here?

I am a RN, had 6 years sobriety. Accidentally overdosed. This ER visit has been brought to the nursing boards attention. Immediatly I lied out of fear, saying my Brother and his GF used my name when she OD due to fear and a active warrent.
should i come clean knowing it could be my job ( i worked for 4 years to rebulid my life ) and take the conseq. or cont to lie saying it wasnt me ?????

 | I’m at a loss here. Recently a new shower was installed because the previous one was leaking (white square unit, pretty standard stuff). Now it’s still leaking but I can’t figure out why and where exactly. It’s just that when you turn it on drops appear all over the bottom side within a matter of minutes. I use live macros for updating texts inside the bars (health and mana) and increase or decrease in stats, but as Greyelf said in my last post, using live macro is not really a good way. Can someone correct or teach me please?

I will be venting a bit in this post. I have been single for about 8 years. I'm 30 years old. So I tried to meet a women through many different dating apps, friends of friends, skateparks, beaches, gyms, social groups, bars and clubs, social media and missed connections on a local website. I'm healthy and a great person with an uplifting positive personality. I changed my style and updated my dating profile many times to see if that was the problem. I even tried to match people in different areas of the city I live in. I paid for the dating app to see who liked me and that didn't help. I'm so fed up with this constant rejection. I have given up on trying to meet someone. I'm telling myself that if I ever meet someone who wants to date, they will have to find me because I don't have the energy to keep looking for a partner. Maybe I need a break from trying to find someone for a bit because I'm feeling so sad about it. Any advice or support would really help me out. Thank you.

The Scarlet Witch was controlled by Dr. Doom in Multiverse of Madness.
In the comics, the scarlet witch, due to the influence of Doctor Doom and being overwhelmed by temporarily increased power, attacks the Avengers, causing the destruction of Vision as well as Avengers Mansion. After subduing Wanda, and unaware she was under another's influences, the Avengers disband.
The MCU is taking its own spin on this tale. I don’t think it’s a coincidence Wanda was a villain, they introduce Wiccan/Speed to the MCU in Agatha, and announce Dr. Doom is coming to the MCU all in a short time frame. Yes they gave reasons for Wanda to be a villain, she was at a vulnerable point, but there was something missing. She needed a little magical shove to go full dark side. She was at a state perfect for someone observing from across the multiverse with a mastery of sorcery to knudge over the edge, and along the way kill a Mr. Fantastic, the arch enemy of none other than Dr. Doom.
In the end she is pitted against dr strange, with one of the two most powerful magic users in the sacred timeline doomed to die. Wanda was removed from the board for a conquering Dr. Doom to arrive.
Just a theory but all the pieces do seem to fit. There might be even more that I haven’t noticed. Perhaps the new fantastic four movie has Wanda still controlled, putting them in a 60’s sitcom as ordered by Doom, but they free her from Doom’s control and get back to the sacred timeline to fight Doom.

2025.01.26 06:21 Ok_Tangerine4130 I loved season 1 for the cozy ambience -- any other show suggestions?
Silo, Severance, Loki -- some other examples that come to mind. These shows have pretty mysterious/futuristic/sci-fi settings that makes hunkering in and watching at night fun.
Season 1 was probably a standout favorite -- an isolated rig, the dark ocean, the falling ash, the loss of communications. Season 2... all character drama, no ambience (except for some shots of the snow in ep 1-2). Anyone got similar suggestions?
