 | Hey all, i have a small kiln that i recently got upgarded from a 10 amp to a 20 amp. Just did its first glaze firing and tried to achieve mid fire cone6. Ended up melting the 5 6 and 7 cones. So it's possible it got to cone 8 or 9. Firing schedule was. 80°c/hr to 300°c 5 minute soak at 300°c 110°c/hr to 1200°c 5 minute soak at 300°c And then an uncontrolled cool down. My question is, what should i adjust first to try to get back down to cone6. Is it just a matter of removing the 5 minute soaks? Or do i need to lower the final temp/firing rate? Been having depression episodes for 10 years. I don't think I will ever be free from depression. I don't have friends, so I have no one to do stuff out of the house with. Been this way for five years. I just don't enjoy my life. I think I'm going to be completely alone for ever. I don't even feel like I'm meant to have friends. I'm quiet, I'm not funny, I have nothing interesting to share or contribute to anyone. So I don't think I will ever have a friend again or get out of the house again.

2025.01.27 04:02 Effective-Diet-3385 I really messed things up with the perfect guy, and I can’t move on at all
I’ve been struggling with this for over a month now and I just can’t seem to move on from it and I know it’s not healthy, so would love some advice if you have any because this has been on my mind for so long now.
I met a really amazing guy a while back. He was the entire package (tall, super sweet and thoughtful, had the exact same unique sense of humor as me, same interests, checked off every box I’ve had and more, was also very very rich and a provider type). I’d never clicked with somebody like this before, like it felt straight out of a movie. He was moving things FAST, like deleting his apps before we even had the first date, talking about meeting my family on the first date, etc. I was getting swept up in it too. We had told each other we were only talking to one another after about a week since meeting.
We only went out a couple times before he had to leave town for something for over a month, and to keep a long story short, my anxiety eventually got the best of me. It had been so long since I’d seen him and he had stopped texting me as much as he usually did, and we were playing phone tag for a day or so and then when we got to speak again I was passive aggressive about him “ghosting”. We’re both sarcastic but I took it too far, he said something hurtful, I reacted even more passively, and he hung up. There were also red flags before this about his respect for women, if he was actually only talking to me, and some other more personal concerning things and kind of inconsistent communication.
After that call, I knew things had really shifted, and I’d try to reach out and he would act interested, but he never reached out to me again. I made another mistake by reactivating my dating apps shortly after, as a way to try to distract myself but I do regret it a lot. I don’t know if he saw or not. For a few weeks I’d keep trying to reach out and he’d act into me and say things about meeting my family and whatnot, until one day I saw I was blocked after he was flirting with me the night before.
I just am really upset because I know what I did to cause this to end, but to not even get a text ending things or any type of closure from it is really driving me crazy. I’m also feeling so guilty too, and it’s been so long since this happened and I’m still thinking about it way too much. I try talking to new people and I just think of him and our amazing connection we had in the beginning.

The authroities treated this as an extremely serious matter, and I was required to attend multiple meetings to defend myself and clear my name. While the investigation ultimately found no evidence to support the accusation, the experience has left me deeply shaken.
What I struggle with most is the lack of accountability. Despite the emotional, social, and potential legal repercussions I faced (including damage to my reputation and mental health), the accuser faced no consequences for making a false claim. To me, this feels like a profound violation of my dignity and fairness. While I understand the importance of taking accusations seriously, I believe there should be proportionate safeguards against baseless claims that can irrevocably harm someone’s life.
I’m no longer an MSU student, so I no longer have access to campus legal services. Has anyone else experienced something similar? What steps can I take to address this injustice or explore potential legal recourse ? Any recommendations for attorneys or support organizations in Michigan that handle such cases would be greatly appreciated.

This requires very specific conditions, so it doesn’t always work, and I’m an extrovert, so this might not resonate at all if you’re not one, but I’ve found that going out and doing something fun, being around people I really enjoy, or just being in a healthy experience (not somewhere i feel too stimulated in (i.e. with bright lights or loud sounds) where I feel fully immersed in the experience can take away the migraine. It’s not immediate, but I’ll be in the middle of enjoying my time when all of a sudden I realize my migraine is gone or feeling subtle until it disappears.
Granted, I often prefer to distract myself from my migraine, so surely it won’t resonate if you don’t prefer to distract yourself from the migraine, but I’m either trying to sleep it off, or just doing something to distract myself and if it’s an experience like the above, it will go away during the experience. Now, I can’t always create this experience, it really depends on different factors outside of my control (especially because I’m not in a good mood when I have them, to say the least), but when it happens, I’m so grateful. I’ve had migraines on and off since middle school, which was decades ago, and I found this out just about a few years ago.
Anyway, I hope no one is triggered by this. Please don’t comment with negativity, I was just curious if I’m the only one who finds this to be true. I hope what I’ve shared makes sense.
