In a nutshell, I wanted to try birth control for acne and period cramps. I was put on Aviane which gave me anxiety attacks and worsened my mental health. I accepted switching to Heather even though progestin only pills typically cause acne. I ended up breaking out terribly. I'm going to the doctor today to switch pills again. From your experience what has worked the best? I know every person is affected differently. However, I wanted to get an idea of some sort for the next one. Weight gain is something I've also been worried about.

I started working when I was 17 years old. Since then I am working a same company on a non technical profile. I always wanted to pursue tech as I am passionate about it and wanted to learn more and more advance technology. I am not good with coding, so I thought that tech support might me the opening doors for me and from tech support I can get into advance technology fields such as cybersecurity, clod networking etc. But I do not know how can I get my first IT job. I am very hard working, can work in startups and In every challenging scenario.

Well it happened, transmission is shot on my 2017 Rogue Sport. 109k miles. Dealership quoted me $7k to replace, I'm going to call around to see if I can get quotes from other shops but at this point I will probably get rid of the car. Do I try to find the best quote for transmission replacement and sell after, or get rid of it as-is? It is still drivable but jerks at highway speeds and is showing fluid pressure and judder codes.

I'm using a Bambu P1S with the AMS to swap between PLA and PETG. I need to ensure they are fully purged between swaps and because of that I have to do some pretty large flushes (600 seems to be the minimum). The problem I'm seeing is that it builds up to the point where it's so big that it won't go down the chute and I get bits of plastic on the build plate that can potentially get in the print.
What I'm wondering is, is there a setting that will allow me to do multiple small flushes if the flushing volume is large?
The real life pooping parallels are not lost on me 😂

Approximately what amount of time did it take to boot from a cold start to the C-prompt, 5¼" disks only, demoware/shareware days, maybe 1986-7, pre-386s, and not an Apple. 16-bit DOS tops. 32kb memory. That's about all I remember. The CalecoVision was still working in the next room.
(*NO simulations or modern rebuilds.)

There was a viral reddit thread yesterday titled, "What’s a type of pain people underestimate until they experience it for themselves?" and it reminded me of a question I've been meaning to ask here. My PE/DVT was in Aug 2023 and what actually made me finally see a doctor was the excruciating leg pain in my right leg. I just want to remember the following details that seem to have been lost to time:
- Iirc, the pain was less when not using your leg but the pain worsened when walking, correct? Or was there no leg pain if you're lying in bed motionless?
- Was it a dull/achy type of pain or a fiery hot "pins & needles" type of shooting pain sensation?
- Was the pain in 1 singular location, or a general region from the knee to just below the hip?

Lurking around this sub I see tons of people doing euro seams and seams in the middle of sinks, 2 things we avoid like the plague. Besides farm sinks seams have no business in sinks. But I always see people posting pictures of amazing looking euro seams and in spots that you could have used a straight seam. We do use them when needed and I’ve done plenty that I’m proud of but they are a bit more work to put together, am I missing something are euro seams superior to straight seams? Why are these companies making their installs more complicated than they need to be. If it matters we only use 3cm besides a couple odd balls here and there.

I’m a 51(m) professional about to finalize my divorce, which has been going on for well over a year. I have two children ages 11 and 8, and a vasectomy. In great shape, creative, and look younger than I am. Don’t drink but will enjoy smoking cannabis when appropriate. Dress well but try to keep it low key and age appropriate. Believe I’m done grieving the break up but remain in therapy because I think it helps me grow and I can afford it.
