 | Weāre not sure what is wrong or exactly what even plant it is. It was a hard process after the fact and the plant was somewhat neglected. We are trying to save it. Iām aware of the mother of millions in the pot with it. I (26F) have had my cat, Milo, for almost 2 years now. Heās my little shadow, always following me around the house, cuddling up on the couch, and greeting me at the door when I get home. Heās not just a petāheās family, and weāre incredibly bonded. Thatās why Iām feeling so guilty about whatās coming up.
I recently got an amazing opportunity to travel for three months. Itās something Iāve dreamed of doing for years, and I know itās a once-in-a-lifetime chance. The problem isā¦ I canāt bring Milo with me. Instead, heāll be staying at my parentsā house with them and my brother. They adore him and will take great care of him, but I canāt shake this horrible feeling that Milo might think Iāve abandoned him or that I donāt love him anymore.
Heās used to being with me all the time, and Iām scared heāll be confused or sad when I suddenly disappear for so long. Every time I think about leaving, I get this knot in my stomach. My family reassures me that heāll be fine and spoiled with attention, but I still feel like Iām letting him down.
Part of me wonders if Iām overthinking this. Logically, I know heāll be cared for, but emotionally, I feel so torn. I donāt want to miss this opportunity, but I also donāt want Milo to feel abandoned or lose the bond we have.
So, AITA for feeling guilty about leaving my cat behind while I travel? And am I a terrible cat mom for worrying he wonāt understand?

Hi! Iām doing my taxes on FreeTaxUSA (Married filing separately as Iām going through a divorce) and in order to get the earned income credit, either my spouse and I would have had to live separately for the last 6 months (we only have been since September) or we need to be ālegally separated according to your state law under a written separation agreement or decree of separate maintenanceā and live in a separate household at the end of 2024.
My problem is that everything Iām seeing says that PA doesnāt have a legal separation process, so would I select yes to that question based upon my divorce complaint that was filed back in October?

I (28f) and my partner (29m) have been together for 5 years. Heās always told me he shares the same goals and plans for the future as I do but I worry that he hasnāt done much to actually achieve them
Heās always had trouble with money, itās taken him a while, but heās admitted and acknowledged it. I found out a year in that he had debt when he asked for my help as he couldnāt pay his bills.
For the last 4 years, iāve tried everything to help him manage money better so that we could save to move out together (Iām a big saver so had the funds to do this since I met him) but nothing worked.
He promised, when I moved back with my parents out of despair, that if I gave him 4 months, he would cut down and save for us to move out, but he only managed Ā£25 a week, which realistically isnāt enough.
I canāt keep going like this, itās caused so many trust issues with empty promises over the years and I am really unhappy, but this is the only thing thatās wrong in our relationship and with everything else, he makes me feel undoubtedly loved and fulfilled.
He has made progress and will soon be debt free, but he has no savings as he still makes bad financial decisions.
My heart is screaming for me to just pay for us to move out so that we can finally settle down (I believe he could then keep up with the monthly bills and rent), but my head is telling me itās time to go.
Would appreciate your advice and experiences?

2025.01.27 17:19 seraphica_ Is it valid to complain about a caregiver that smells really bad
This is mostly a rant but I also wanna know what others would do in this situation.
I live in a supported living place where there are carers around 24/7, and a couple months ago we got a new staff member that started working here. She has a nice enough personality but smells absolutely nasty every time she's in. And I'm not talking about strong perfume or anything, its just the worst BO I've ever smelt. I'm not exaggerating when I say it smells like she hasn't touched a deodorant or a shower once in her life. I'm pretty sensitive to smells in general, so every time she's in I want to gag, and sometimes its so bad I get scared I'm gonna vomit. Genuinely. It also doesn't help that she leaves my entire apartment smelling of her afterwards and I have to drown everything in air freshener.
I don't know if I should complain? I don't want to be insensitive in case she has some condition that makes you produce more sweat, but at the same time she does a lot of personal care (me included) and I feel like it has to be unhygienic in some way? Makes me wonder if she even washes her hands... And I get that care is a really mentally and physically taxing job, I really do, but surely she can take 5 seconds to use some deodorant?
