Can someone double check my logic on the payback period for my proposed solar system? I’m running the numbers and keep getting something in the 13 year range. In UT, RMP is the electrical provider, schedule 1 summer rates are .09/kWh for the first 400, then .11 after that.
Solar Calculations Annual Usage: 10,000 kWh Annual production: 10,000kWH
Yearly Billing without solar: (4000.09) + (6000.11) = 1,020
Assumption: 60% of solar production will go directly back to the house, 40% will be sold back to me at net billed rate (avg $.06/ kWh)
Yearly Bill with solar: (4000 x .09) - (4000 x .06) = 120
Difference: 1020-120=900
System cost: 17450*.7 = 12,215 Payback: 12,215/900 = 13.572 yrs
Obviously this doesn’t factor in energy cost increases, but those are hard to forecast. I would be paying cash on the install too, so don’t need to factor in loan interest rates

I was in a tournament and it was close to the bubble, but not directly the bubble yet. I’m trying to maximize EV, don’t mind not cashing if it’s strictly more profitable by a large significant margin to take a calculated risk.
Anyways, I had 29bb in BB and SB had 14bb. Im seen to have a very tight image at this table because I had to fold to two all ins with marginal hands and was pretty much card dead outside of those hands. Anyways, I had QJo and called the shove. It was a bounty tournament and my opponent only had the minimum bounty.
After my tournament ended later on I realized that I don’t really know much technically about this spot, and was wondering if there was a chart for such a thing. Blind v blind calling ranges, 12-15bb ish, near the bubble. If anyone has educated info on this type of stuff lmk.

I’m excited for the upcoming life-sim games coming up (like InZoi & paralives) but I wish simulation games would get away from The Sims format. It feels like The Sims made their UI with the sims 2 and that’s been the blueprint for not only The Sims, but all life-sim games. Not that I don’t like The Sims, I just wanna play something that feels totally fresh and different. Honestly I’m not sure how you would even make it different (the sims DID do it really well the first time) but I just want something new. Anybody else?

Well to begin, I've never posted to reddit and have just found this subreddit. I've done some poking around the recommendation requests and got a little lost so I figured I'd "first time caller long time listener" this and submit my first inquiry.
From what I can tell picking a saxophone and getting recommendations is fairly personalized so I'm going to do my best to provide relevant info.
I started playing saxophone in 4th grade and played through 10th (concert for all 7 years, jazz for 3 and marching band for 2). I started on alto and switched to tenor after about 2yrs or so. Less of a conscious choice, more of a we need a tenor sax. I ended up preferring it and when given the option to switch back or switch to bari or soprano I ended up sticking with tenor. When I stopped playing it was due to scheduling conflicts with classes and after I didn't have access to an instrument since I couldn't afford one at the time.
So now it's been about a decade and some change and I'm looking to start back up again. For context I was never a great player but played competently and consistently enough not to garner any attention outside of being pulled for jazz band.
1) I've never picked out my own instrument or mouthpiece, just my reed and even then my instructors told me which to get (2.5 or 3).
I'm not sure what brands or models to start looking at, or if I should primarily be considering beginner or intermediate instruments. I played 2 different altos and about 3 different tenors but I don't remember the brands or anything. I know I'd like to not spend more than about $2,500.
2) I also don't know what to listen for, look for, or feel for when picking an instrument, when assessing whether or not it's a good fit.
3) Where to start looking? Other than FB Marketplace.
4) Would it be best to start with a handful of classes with a instructor?
5) What resources should I use to start back up?
That's all I can think of now. I'm open to any recommendations, thoughts or advice y'all may have. Or if someone could point me in the direction of any different threads they think may be relevant, that'd also be greatly appreciated.
