Been trying to get regular raichu but keep getting the option to evolve Pikachu to alolan raichu. I thought if I catch a normal Pikachu and not the one with blue eyes and tan ears and tail then I would get the regular raichu after giving it the thunder stone?

2025.01.30 06:51 bs8194 advice for writing characters with cerebral palsy
Hi, I'm a fanfic writer who wants to write a story about a character with cerebral palsy, and I want to make sure I do so accurately and respectfully. The character is Chris Diaz from the show 9-1-1, and is played by Gavin McHugh. I apologize if my language isn't right, i don't really know the right way to talk about cerebral palsy or the abilities of those with it.
From my research, it seems like Gavin has spastic or ataxic cerebral palsy. He is very mobile and gets around with and without crutches on the show. He has some trouble with speech (stuttering or stilted) especially early in the show when he's around 7 or 8.
As a character, Chris is very smart and social. He always gets along with his peers, does well in school, and is just generally a very normal and outgoing kid (who's becoming a surly teenager which is so bittersweet watching him (Gavin and Chris) grow up through this show). He likes swimming and chess. It's just him and his dad, who's a firefighter on the show, and they're typically very close. If you can't tell, I really love Chris and his family unit so most of this unnecessary and just me rambling about my faves lol.
Basically, I just want to know how to accurately describe what it's like to live with those limitations and how to respectfully incorporate his disability into the story. The show generally handles Chris's character with grace, as far as I'm aware, but he's not really a main character so they don't really delve into how it affects him in his day to day. I'm really sorry if how I described anything is offensive or incorrect for whatever reason, please let me know if it is or if you have any follow-up questions. Thanks!!

2025.01.30 06:51 ttttcrn Mild reactions to allergy shot preventing dosage increases
I've been receiving allergy shots for a while now and I've built up tolerance to the most concentrated vial but at the lowest doses (I'm getting 0.15 and I believe the ideal highest concentration for maintenance is 1). I've been getting mild reactions (some coughing, chest congestion, sometimes a bit of itching not at the injection site) that start 30 minutes post shot that last for 30-60 minutes. I find it somewhat surprising that my allergist wants to avoid reactions even as mild as mine entirely and wants me to stay on a dose that I don't have such reactions to for a while before even considering increasing my dose. I'm not sure I buy this whole "you're always just a stone's throw away from anaphylaxis" thing... seems unlikely since I've had these mild reactions so many times and I feel like I should be able to slowly build up a tolerance.
I'm considering getting a second opinion from another allergist but wondering if anyone has experienced this before and whether they were able to slowly build tolerance for higher doses or not.

Forgive my ignorance, please. I’m confused and would really, REALLY appreciate it if someone could help me out with a few questions about my tax returns. For reference, I’m a student who is claimed as a dependent on my parents taxes.
1) In the 2021 tax year, I received $0 in income whatsoever. I had no job that year, but I did receive 1099-B forms, all with net losses (all capital losses). Today, while on the IRS website, I realized a 2021 return was not filed at all (my parents did it for me at the time). My question here is, with $0 in income and all capital losses, do I have to file a return? FYI, I have not heard from the IRS about it ever so I assume I don’t have to, but I want to make sure.
2) In the 2022 tax year, a return was filed. I had W-2 income ($6,094), had federal income tax withheld and received a refund. I also received 1099-B forms, once more all with net losses, but they were NOT included on my return for this year. My question is, do I need to amend the return and include the capital losses?
3) My 2023 tax year’s return included W-2 income (approximately $10,000) and had taxes withheld that I received back as a refund. I also had capital losses that year, but unlike situation #2 it was included on my tax return (loss of -$153). This return is correct!
Fast forward to now, I filed my 2024 tax return just a week back. Only W-2 income, no 1099-B forms this time. Just income. For whatever reason, I did not “use” or “include” the capital loss carryover of -$153 on my return from last year for this year. I only reported W-2 income and received my tax refund. Question is, do I need to amend it and “use” the capital losses, or can it be left be?
If anyone is able to reply and help me out with this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much in advance!

I have an experience I think about a lot. When I was a little kid, probably under the age of 6, I would often fall asleep watching tv on the couch. I vividly remember one night I woke up in the pitch black and across the room above the other couch there was a floating, glowing orb. I can’t remember if it was red or orange but it was a warm color. I was not scared surprisingly even though I was scared of the dark and I went over and tried to touch it and I remember my hand passed through. I don’t remember anything after this but I woke up on the couch that it hovered above, anybody else have a similar experience or explanation?

2025.01.30 06:51 d7024 [Update] Line boring is my new obsession
So after all your brilliant advice a few weeks back I thought I'd give you an update. I went on a line boring beginners course, bought myself an in line boring machine and practiced in my shop for a couple of weeks. I have now increased the bore size and added bushes to 2 of my machines and I completely love this in line borer. What a piece of kit, it is so versatile. Thanks everyone again for your advice, it's also opened another revenue stream for my business, as I intend to open up to other plant equipment once l'm better with the borer. It was a Pricey venture, but I’m thoroughly enjoying learning with it.

I’m planning to use my phone to generate a transcript for a 40+ minute interview tomorrow. I know Voice Memos can do this for short audio clips, but has anyone tried this with longer ones? Also, it seems like it can only do copy and paste to export the transcript file - has anyone found this to be a problem?
