So I'm basically 5 hours into this game and its been a pain doing anything in terms of foraging. I finally got around to making a stone axe just for it to break before I could cut down a tree. Now I'm back to the snails paced foraging mode and I can't find another pointy stone. Is there something I'm missing here or are things like this just purposely too slow. I really don't want to spend a whole hour trying to get an axe again just for it to not do what axes do. So if theres something I'm missing or it just is unfortunately this slow then that info would help thanks.

I recently ordered a bridesmaids dress to try on at home, and I was excited to show it to my friend. When I did, she was kind of surprised by the size I was wearing and mentioned that it looked “big” on me. I know she wasn’t trying to be mean—she was just surprised—but I’ve been feeling a little conscious about my body by the comment. I’m unsure if it’s even worth bringing it up since I don’t think she meant anything bad by it.
I’ve been debating whether I should say something to her about how it made me feel or just let it go. I don’t want to make a big deal out of nothing, but at the same time, it’s been on my mind. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Should I just let it go or address it with her?

Dear TSW sub,
Has anyone tried an extended fast while suffering from TSW? I've read that 3, 4, and even up to 7 day water-only fasts can create autophagy which naturally removes toxins and cellular damage. I'm trying to naturally heal my gut and skin and considering an extended fast to help. Already on the Lion's diet for 2+ weeks and have stopped using all medications since the beginning of the year (biologics, Opzelura, etc.). Eczema has flared up a bit, although not nearly as bad as in the past coming off of steroids. But the symptoms are the same, red itchy skin from head to toe. Lots of dry skin on my face, neck, and chest. I'm tired of being reliant on strong medications and seeing them lose efficacy over time. Trying everything this year to heal naturally but a intimidated by the idea of a 7 day fast. Let me know your thoughts and any experience with this.

Dragon’s Egg is unique. I will admit I was sometimes confused by the hard sci-fi parts because my brain is a bit slow. Also, I found the amoeba creatures’ sexual life a bit too descriptive. Other than that, this book has exactly what I always wanted to find in a sci-fi book:
- Alien life in an unexpected place
- Alien life completely different from ours
- Humans going to the aliens
- Humans being the most advanced ones
- Humans helping the aliens advance their technology
- Aliens and humans working together to uncover the secrets of the universe
We had so many main characters throughout the evolution of the Cheela civilization, and the author made me care about every single one of them. It was very interesting seeing their society evolve as well. Although I didn’t like that the girl who wanted to live forever was kind of portrayed as a crazy, self-absorbed leader. I am tired of people relating chasing immortality to being mentally deranged.
It is difficult to tell a story from an alien POV, but this author did it perfectly.
It was beautiful how the first contact between the Cheela and the humans happened. The efforts the Cheela made to make it possible. All the lives sacrificed. Despite being so different, the Cheela and the humans became real friends.
Another great book where humans help the aliens is Cold Eyes by Peter Cawdron.

It’s almost the end of fantasy regular season and I still don’t know if he’s any good. This was supposed to be his breakout year and he’s missed 95% of the games and now the Raptors are actually winning games without him. What if they decide to relegate him to being a 6th man or if they decide to trade him so they can get a 2nd star next to Scottie? It’s not like he’s shown anything to cement himself as the starting point guard of the Raptors. And even if he does come back soon, why would they even let him play considering he’s made of glass and they’re tanking?
Just a shitty situation all around.
