2025.01.29 06:03 Aisukoshka I'm skinny and I'm still not happy
I figured "well at least I'll be skinny and pretty" would always be the case. I've held onto hope that if I could just be thin enough, then my life would turn around.
And yet I'm here; underweight, having had an eating disorder for nearly 7 years, and I'm miserable. I couldn't finish school because of my anorexia, I've lost all my hobbies except food, I don't have any friends because I had to leave school and unintentionally-intentionally isolated myself. I don't have a job because I don't have enough energy in the day, I self-destructed and stopped seeing my therapist because I didn't want to be fat. I can't even read books anymore.
I've literally ruined my entire life so far, and I don't know what to do. Because even though I've sat here and listed all the ways in which being hungry and skinny is NOT worth barely feeling like I exist; I can't be fat. I just can't. I can't just let myself have my favourite stupid smoothie from the cafe I like. I can't just eat sushi. I can't do it.
But at the same time I'm tired of not existing, I'm sick of not living. And I'm sick of hating myself every waking moment - even when I haven't eaten.
I just want to not feel sad anymore.

Hi all, this has probably come up before but I'm from Australia and have an E8 model. I usually take a standard Latte but this model doesn't have the setting. Is there a firmware update or a setting I can use to get the same Latte other models produce? Not a cheap machine but I feel ripped off as I can't enjoy the coffee how I like it. Also I think there is an issue with the frother as it isn't silky smooth but really bubbly. Anyone else have this issue and know a fix?

I’ve been doing so well with nasal pillows. The past five nights, I can’t seem to keep my mouth closed. I tried mouth tape which usually takes care of the issue or a chin strap or a neck brace but nope, nothing is working. I’ve not changed anything - pillow blanket bed temperature. I’m not sick. This is literally the first time in my 6 years of cpap usage that I just want to throw it all across the room.
When I use the neck brace or chin strap, I end up waking up with a severe dry mouth because. When I use mouth tape, my mouth is literally taped close but I wake up with an incredibly dry mouth.
I dread bedtime now.
Any advice is welcome / appreciated.

Title says it all. It’s not a situation where I’ve never met her. I have. I know I have. I first met this girl in high school around 2016. At the time I was in a relationship, she dumped me a short bit after our 1y to be with someone else (typical future med school hot girl gets pregnant by the quarterback (also super popular in my school) type situation). During our relationship I spent a lot of time with my girlfriend’s best friend. Her boyfriend went to another school and the whole relationship was rocky. He left her for this girl. The same girl that i’m writing about. When it happened my girlfriend showed me her instagram (which I quickly took to memory thank god it was easy to remember) and asked me if I thought she was pretty. Of course I said no but I meant yes. Our breakup was a couple months after the instagram scene. It was to be expected, being left for literally the biggest threat on campus. Crushing. But the bigger the pain the faster the recovery I guess? I got over it fairly quickly compared to past break ups. After I got my head right (as you should) I started talking to the girl through instagram (I added her at some point idk when). We very quickly became close and were texting daily. We were flirting. There was chemistry. She ended up getting back with her ex (I get it. I got back with the same girl 9x once before I stopped being an idiot). I ended up finding someone new. Her and I were together for awhile but I still talked to this other girl (albeit less often from both our ends). That relationship ended when I was 21 and guess who was also single again? The stars are aligning. Right? I took her on a couple dates to the movies and dinner. I was very respectful. Right when we got the stimulus check we made plans to go to the beach and watch the sunrise. Personally, I would go to sleep at like 6AM but I had work the evening before so in order to not sleep through our date I stayed up all night until I picked her up at her place at 4-430am. I got so tired at once point I went to the gas station to get gas and clean my car and coffee of course. Some guy got arrested in the parking lot 20 feet in-front of me. It was crazy. Our sunrise at the beach is such a happy memory because we went to the wrong coast (FL) and the sunrise wasn’t even over the ocean. But I had a great time. I fell in love with her that day. It’s the best I ever remember feeling. Even now. She always wanted me to shoot my shot and even offered the idea of sharing a hotel room for our birthday (born the same day a year apart).
This girl isn’t just attractive and flirty. She’s smart, clever. Goofy and elegant all at once. She is such a kind person but can stand up for herself.
It’s been nearly a decade since I first talked to her and 4-5 years since the beach thing. I haven’t been able to move past it. We are both in long term relationships now but I have thought about her regularly for such a long time.
It’s not that i’m obsessed or stalking or anything to that extreme. I keep to myself. I’m not unattractive either. I never struggled to get attention from the prettiest and most popular girls when I was in school. I just developed a pickiness over time and most girls I found really annoying, dumb, or both. I don’t even use socials anymore, but admittedly I have looked at dream girls facebook page a couple times in 2024. She seems happy and that’s nice. We haven’t talked in a very long time now (my gf won’t allow it; she’d flip).
I fumbled the bag and i’m not sure I ever will move past it. My current gf has a lot of the same traits as this girl. She’s also very pretty and smart, clever. She’s a different person but those core things are shared. I’m not unhappy in my relationship. And it’s really unlikely I would ever get that dream girl anyway.
How can I find closure for this? Should I leave her in the past? Does anyone have a similar story (hopefully where u got the “happily ever after” ending)?

I posted this 2 months ago with no responses so im trying again, just coppied pasted cause everything is the same
A couple months ago my Dell desktop PSU died so I bought a new PC recently. I invested in a Quest 2 for it and it has been amazing.
It's treating me well so far but it is my first time really using Windows 11. The old Dell was a Windows 10 machine. I had no problems what so ever, I played VRChat and H3 and it was amazing with Steam Linl, I loved it.
Now that I have a better machine in every way, I thought it would be better too! But no, it has been riddled with scratchy popping audio, blurry and fuzzy visual, and an over all horid experience in VR. I have tried countless things to try to remedy this but to no avail. I am all out of ideas and frankly, really bummed out that this better machine cannot run VR like my old machine. I don't know what to do. I even have a Link Cable via 3.0.
Some light research tells me that Windows 11 is not VR friendly, and some lucky people like myself just get the short end of the stick.
Any advice on how to make things work better?
My specs are
AMD Ryzen 7 7700
RTX 4060 TI 8gigvram
32 gig ram
