I am 27F, my birthday is coming upon 31st January and my boyfriend's(M-32) brother booked concert tickets for them without realizing the date. He told me about this month ago and i had problem with it from day one i thought he might do something about it but nop. My boyfriend thought it was on a different day, but it turns out it's on my actual birthday. When I brought up how that made me feel, he apologized and said I could meet him after the concert at 11 PM in Downtown (from my place it's 30mins in transit) then grab drink/dinner and then go to his place (40-45mins with transit) celebrate with champagne and call it celebration. He also suggested I call in sick the next day so we could spend time together. Honestly, this just doesn't sit right with me. It's my birthday, and I feel like I shouldn't have to be the one making all the adjustments just to fit into his schedule. If he really wanted to celebrate with me, he would ve planned something that made me feel special instead of squeezing me in after his plans. When I tried to explain this, he didn't really get it. I keep thinking-it the situation were reversed and I asked him to wait until super late in another city and then call in sick just to spend time with me, would he actually do it? Probably not. At this point, I don't even feel like celebrating anymore. I don't want a "make-up plan" or a last-minute fix. I just feel hurt that I wasn't prioritized. for feeling this way and not wanting to go along with his plan?

my 9 year old niece thinks im a big weird kid cause she sees me walking around the house with my "fidget toys". when ever she visits. and she will ask me what "fidget" i have. I know they are "fidgets" but it annoys me when to me they are not toys they help me with autism and stimming. I just don't like that she views me as a kid, and wants to play with my "fidgets".
Whenever my brothers family visit I have to wear a hoodie so i can carry my daily stim toys in the big front pocket. But i really don't like that my neice links me to "fidgets" and every time she visits .... asks me for them.
Last time i tried to be good aunty and obey her and get my nee doh ball (its not my favorite but at the time it was my only one) well every time she and my nephew have a play with my things they want to keep it. I don't like my neice asking to see my "fidgets". I am not a "toy shop".
I am not a big weird kid. i am autistic and my tangle and my other things are my needs. I dont like how kids see me.
Does this happen with every autistic??? Do kids treat you like this? I am their aunty, but they never call me aunty. They call my sister aunty because she's not autistic so she doesnt act ''weird'' like me. sigh.
My sister gets annoyed at me because I don't spend time with my niece and nephew. and she says one day i will regret it. It's not my fault, i try so hard to interact with them But it's very hard. I struggle to talk to them, it's too much. I don't like being autistic.
I am not sure what flair i wanted but it won't let me choose anything else than "advice needed"> it's more of a question.....

Hi all, as the title says I'm just curious why we don't really see game engines in Java (by game engines I mean ones such as Unity or Unreal that anyone can run).
My current theory is that it might not be great at communicating with graphic cards drivers or other low level limitations.
I love using Java and Unity with C# is similar enough that I enjoy using it as well but I'm genuinely curious why we don't really have a Java based game engine.
We know that Java can run Minecraft which can be heavily modded and optimized to run on low end PC's and (I think) we can install a bundled jdk with a game and essentialy make it an executable.
Anyways long post about a shower thought I had. Curious what you all have to say about it.
