My boyfriend left me 5 days ago, he told me that he was at one point, unhappy more often than he was happy. i have seriously struggled with insecurity, and an anxious attachment. these last few months, i became reactive to nearly everything he said, and would create a problem where there never should’ve been one. this started to happen nearly everytime we were around each other. i frequently acknowledged and apologized for my behavior, and promised to try to do better, and thanked him for staying with me. i truly did try to do better, but i failed to realized that this insecurity was a core wound and it would take talking about it in therapy to actually work through it. he started to feel like he had to walk on eggshells around me, and grew to resent me because of it. he always had difficulty opening up, even previous to our relationship, but i definitely did not help. he was feeling unhappy and began going down a checklist of things to fix it, like making more friends, improving his skin (he has severe eczema), taking more time to be with friends, and then decided it was the relationship making him unhappy. these past days, he’s gone between saying we need to work on ourselves and than we can try again, if he is feeling better, to, we cannot try again, and back to we can once we’ve worked on ourselves. right now we’re in no contact. we haven’t spoken in 2 days. is there a chance of reconciliation? aside from this issue, we had a loving relationship and were very comfortable and close with each other. he’s asked for space and i’m trying to give him that, but a huge part of me wants to reach out to tell him it was never his fault, it truly was something i needed to sort out in therapy, etc. please help. i truly believe this is my person. i do not want anyone else.

So actually, the question is coming from someone who is not so "experienced" dev, to those who are. I have around 4(ish) YoE, factoring in my employment time here.
Around 8 months ago, I joined USA company which has department in my country (not USA, but low lvl county in Europe). They also have department in India. Recently this whole "mini-company" inside the very large company was sold to "private equity company" and rebranded Anyway, this company pays good money compared to standard of living in my country. In the first team, I had "mentor" whom I had total of two calls with and it was mostly about setting up project. That's it regarding "onboarding".
The atmosphere is quite "political" let's call it that. From the start you are let known (indirectly) that managers are above, you are below and there's nothing you can do about it. No amount of asking for help, will result in
Anyway, during these 8 months, I was transferred from team to team (3 teams total). Now I am in the team where me and an Indian guy are only backend devs and both of us are new to this company.
Here's the thing. I was now put to be the sole dev (they call it 'lead' dev) for 2 important epics for a large new client (we have our product). These are quite serious and many things I will do are new to me (apart from the project itself which I also have to navigate since I've been in this new team for 3 moths - different microservice etc). Not even being in that particular team I've been asked to write HLD for it before even being transferred there. Now I wrote 2 more of them but I am sure it's NOT something that should be done by me at this point in time (and for this amount of time here).
The atmosphere is quite "political" let's call it that. From the start you are let known (indirectly) that managers are above, you are below and there's nothing you can do about it. My direct manager from my country told me that "it is how it is, I understand that we are here to sink or drown". Everyone tries to "weasel" out and pass hot potato to the next person, without truly doing anything of substance.
The SMEs that are point of contact for "help" barely reply at all, or if they do, they talk like you'd talk if you spoke a monologue, tons of things where you'd only get it if you've been here for a while (I use GPT to translate it for me lol). When you create PRs these are in "review" process for 2 weeks before someone even comments anything (no approve, no comment).
I feel that these "important" epic tasks I got are way too over my skillset (at this point in time) and being the "lead and sole dev", I think it ain't happening. Yesterday I had to give an estimate (in hrs) alongside the SME to 3 "higher ups" and SME actually didn't jump in but let me say something and then built off of that and added some hrs to it. I felt so bad giving shoddy estimate for something I'm not experienced enough (at least here) to deliver.
The pay is extremely good, but I feel I should run and start looking for another job? One college in our country was already let go yesterday (he said performance related). The project is good, the pay is good, and would learn a ton, but don't see it happening given the constant "targets".
Is this normal? Should I run?

I’ll try to keep this a brief as I can and just sum up. When I was 19 I lost my virginity. I kept it to myself because I knew that I wouldn’t be allowed on a mission if it ever got out. Fast forward to when I was on my mission in Trinidad/ Tobago in the West Indies. I was out for 5 months before I had an incident where I passed out in my District Leader’s apartment, and they rushed me to the hospital. They found that I was dying of heart disease. My average resting heart rate was 195 bpm and functionally, my heart was operating at 18% capacity. (Normal being 55%, and critical being 19%) They also found 3 blood clots in my heart. I was sent home where I had to have surgery on my heart and couldn’t do anything for a year and a half. No school, no getting a job, no driving. After about 9 months of being back, it came out that I had sex before my mission. The girl I did it with apparently had friends who were LDS that she had talked to about it, and they reported it to my bishop. I was told by my bishop that I needed to talk to my parents about it and I did, and of course they cried and I was a disappointment and a stain on the family name.
But here is what hurt the most and now at 34 years old, I still struggle with it sometimes. (Btw, I left the church officially when o was 25) My mom told me something that day that I would never forget. She said that it would seem that since I wasn’t willing to “come before the lord with a broken heart, that he had to break my heart for me.” And I’ve had trouble with this statement ever since. Sorry for the long winded post. Needed to get that off my chest.

X infantier during the Cold War lol. There’s sequences into doing a section attack. You have the planning and barking out orders. You a mg fireteam responsible for suppressive fire keeping the enemy pinned down and unable to respond with fire back. Followed up with teams advancing on the enemy position with covering fire and movement. I can see at the beginning the veteran soldier of the team providing a COM roll to break down the attack and benefit green troops. Mg would stay in over watch the entire time and responding with suppressive fire. But with the way initiative goes there’s no real sequence everyone throughout several rounds are definitely not on the same page? It’s just a fun game I think I’m going to try to go through this scenario. When being in overwatch isn’t it for example a door opening or basically a small area and not a 20-30 metre trench with 8-12 enemy forces dug in?

So I got to manage a business profile that was permanently closed by the previous agency due to some miscommunication. I made the profile live again and added details to optimize the profile. Most of the details have been updated now. Few are still pending like mobile number verification. But I was unable to find the social links option in Edit Profile tab. So I want the "yes" answers, coded as 1, from panda dataframe column B41 (which indicates that, yes, the farmers will replant the same variety of bean again). And I can see that part of the code successfully implemented against the data, and the column/series is then stored as will_replant. From this filtering, I want to group all the respondents together by their variety of bean, which is column B32. I can access this selection and see the counts and frequencies of the bean varieties. But I can't get them grouped and plotted into bars. I've tried it a few different ways, and keep getting errors, including this one: 'DataFrameGroupBy' object has no attribute 'index'

2025.01.30 07:10 rainghost Seeking opinions - what's a class that's consistently fun to play even when just solo questing and leveling?
I've been away from WoW for a long while. The urge to play again, to return to Azeroth and immerse myself in it, is really strong! But the desire to just mind-numbingly perform my rotation on mob after mob after mob after mob after mob is not really there. I love the World (of Warcraft) but I feel like I need to find a different way of engaging with it.
The main classes I've played are the heavy plate melee classes - Warrior, Paladin, Death Knight. I really like being tanky and cheekily soloing instances in Chromie Time (shh, don't tell Blizzard). But the gameplay has gotten stale. I've always had a bias against ranged classes because it's always felt kind of boring to me to nuke mobs from far away and kill them before they even manage to land a single blow on you - it seems about as interactive and entertaining as mining an ore node. Feel free to try changing my view!
Taking into account my preference for melee combat and desire to be tanky, what would you folks suggest is an engaging and interesting class or spec to play that might freshen up gameplay for someone looking for a change of pace? Thanks!
