it's been 3 days, I'm not afraid to say I miss his voice, his comfort, his touch, everything about him. I've tried to distract myself by being with my family, making plans with my friends, but it doesn't fully cover the hurt and dissapointment I felt. I had another dream about him last night, that he hugged me, told me that everything's gonna be alright.
my friends told me to get over it, there's plenty of guys who are better than him, that he isn't even attractive but that's not what I want to hear right now honestly. life after break up isn't easy, especially when he's everything I want in a guy.

Hello! Middle-ish aged person here with an elderly (75+) mom that has been the victim of MANY-a-scam……
So, when my mother first got a smart phone I really thought I went over just about EVERYTHING to keep her safe from being a scam victim. I didn’t. There seems to always be a “new kind” of scam going around, and she says “well you didn’t SPECIFICALLY say that AT&T wouldn’t ask me to buy $900 worth of iTune cards… you told me not to give anyone MY credit card numbers or buy anyone prepaid credit cards.” Or the ol’… “you told me not to click any blue links I get in text messages from any weird phone numbers, but the caller ID was my OWN phone number, so I thought I sent that to myself!” Needless to say, I have seen my mother loose at least $6000 thru 3 different scams. Those two, and the old “hi this is the electricity company ( yes, they said the electricity company… not the name OF her electric company!! ). We accidentally credited $1200 to your electricity account from your credit card starting with the number 4258 (a good guess of theirs as most CC’s start with a common first 4 numbers and they guessed right) So we are going to need you to reimburse us that $1200 with your CC starting in 4258”
Anyway… each and EVERY single time she has been taken I always get, “but you didn’t say this, or that”. When in reality I did tell her exactly THAT… maybe I had used the Gas Company as an example instead of “The Electricity Company”, oh… I told her never to buy or give anyone Amazon card #’s or GoogleStore card numbers… I didn’t say “iTunes”. This isn’t just a problem with my mother. Nearly MONTHLY she tells me about some way that one of her sisters (around her age) or friends has been taken by scammers; either on the phone in calls, thru text messages, and NOW…. Thru their e-mail accounts, Facebook, and Twitter { X }.
So I had an idea. There has to be SOME kind of way for these women (men too, I am sure it happens to them as well… I only deal with women though) to learn about all current scams AND how to identify up and coming scams that weren’t specifically mentioned. I am sure there are videos here and there on YouTube or something they could watch. However I know that my mother doesn’t learn well like that. She needs to have someone actually teaching her face to face. She needs to be able to ask questions.
Are there any existing classes like this? If there isn’t, do you think that it would be worth starting one? I am not thinking that this is some kind of “get rich quick” thing for me. Honestly, I don’t want to make any money off of it. However, I am sure there would be some costs involved. Equipment to buy…. Papers to make…. Things like that. So, I ask this, is it worth it for me to put something like this together and get it out there for them?

It knows a lot, it introspects a lot, but it's advices are not like ChatGPT. You can ask questions to ChatGPT and be a little bit assured that it wouldn't tell you to do something a bit dangerous. Deepseek truly gives great advices even after ChatGPT stops after 10-20 messages. Still, this is just a cautionary tale, nothing much.
See, the analogy is that Deepseek knows and instrospects a lot, but is quite naive. It doesn't have the experience with users yet. ChatGPT has the same stuff, it's also quite naive, but there's a bit of a difference.
I use Linux Mint in my laptop, when I asked it to assist me, it didn't take the assumption that it can be a Linux Desktop too and literally told me to disable my NetworkManager (Wi-Fi for Desktop PCs) and told me to use systemd-networkd (used in professional servers).
And especially it literally gave me something whcih actually made my desktop reset to factory defaults (not the installed apps, just the settings and the desktop wallapapers and the taskbar, even the icon and the font sizes were affected)
Just a note: these are quite dangerous commands and you shouldn't run these in your Mint PC. I myself didn't think much about the
cinnamon --replace & command. It actually gives you a new desktop environment with every icon intact, but mostly feels like a factory-reset of the desktop only, everything else remains intact (except the in-built settings menu, it also resetted to factory defaults). Thankfully, I could fix it within 20 minutes, but it was quite a bit of work... You might ask, what happens to the older settings' desktop? It gets thrown to the background processes (because of that &).Yes, ChatGPT does recommend some dangerous stuff while doing stuff on Linux, DeepSeek is much better. But commands with rm -rf should be approached with atleast some bit of caution...? Atleast I can expect that much from a state-of-the-art model? Anyway, I think DeepSeek really needs custom instructions as a quick fix.

I’m a beginner to fermenting, I tried to make sauerkraut and this is what it looks like on day 3:
It’s making bubbles and seems to be working, but I’m mostly worried about the parts that are not completely submerged in the brine.
I tried to push them under but that didn’t seem to work.
I don’t have any weights or special equipment yet, should I try adding a zip lock bag filled with water or will I be fine without doing that?
