I have always claimed either 0 or 1 on my taxes, and I have ALWAYS gotten a refund or had a break even year.
This year it is saying that I owe $977 in federal taxes.
I have worked one job, so only one W-2. I filed as single, and checked with two different services and got the same answer. Cashapp filing as well as turbo tax.
I don't mind sharing my income, so these are the numbers:
Total income pre tax: $42,831.96
Federal taxes already paid: $2,178.58
Social security taxes paid: $2,655.58
Medicare tax paid: $621.06
State tax paid(Colorado): $1,665.57
Adding all of those up, I have already paid $7,120.79 in taxes this year.
Adding the $977 they claim I owe, that is $8,097.79
8,097.79/42,831.96=0.189
That is 19% of my entire income as someone making not a lot of fucking money.
Sorry for the number dump, but I was REALLY counting on a refund to help out around this time of the year and I am losing my mind trying to make sense of it. I worked the same job last year, with a similar total income(variance in overtime hours) and i had a refund of 1,400

Hi guys, I'm looking to lease a Kia EV6 Wind RWD and came across this dealership with a deal of $129/month for 24 months and $3999 down for 10,000 miles/year.
After factoring in taxes and other up front costs like acquisition fee, and title and registration, looks like it's going to be $5993 up front and $140/month. Assuming a MSRP of $50,800 for the car, this seems like a really good deal when using the 1% lease rule as a benchmark (although its not 36 months and 12,000 miles/year).
However, since this is my first lease, I'm a little anxious to commit without a second opinion. What are your thoughts?

i love this movie but i dont understand how someone born and raised in Birmingham would have such a weird indo-american accent (at best). Her hindi is also very… hindi. She doesnt sound Pakistani at all.
Anushka did a RIDICULOUS gujju accent in Harry Met Sejal, which was probably worse than not doing an accent. On top of that, people really think she is a good actress?
same with Katrina’s character in JTHJ or ZNMD. She’s supposed to be from London in real life, and in those movies, but she cant fake a British accent to save her life. Why do Indian movies do this? Why cant people start taking on accents? It’s such a fantastic trait actors in shows, theatres, and of course movies everywhere work on. The worldbuilding and character work would be incredible if they did.

You know I have been thinking a lot of thoughts lately. The Boss in the game from the classic timeline started as just a regular guy walking in the streets of Stilwater but then he/she currently became President of the United States (Mostly a he because of default), Although he did save America from a nuclear bomb it still does not change the fact The Boss had a very high criminal record mostly murders.
If there was a real-life former gang leader who became President how would he/she handle the country?
It can have either positive or negative effects but please think of it as like serious matter because I am very curious.

Currently watching 5, not sure if i’ll finish it. I quite liked this show even though it gets silly and a bit outrageous towards the end. While watching I couldn’t help think wow these people are so fucked up. I mean just about everyone the main characters cross paths with are terrible people. Like genuinely horrible people. Also, the main characters constantly lose over and over. I actually really enjoyed that aspect of the show. It was like a shit show that just kept getting shittier (for both the viewer and characters haha).
I will say though, it really starts to drag in season 3 and 4. I think this show would’ve been like 5 times better if seasons ran 12 episodes instead of 24. Like holy shit it just kept being dragged out. There was also a lot of plot holes but ehhh idrc. The highlight of the show comes from the characters themselves rather than the over arching plot. This show has some of the most horrible people i’ve seen in tv. Like I consistently hated like every villain starting from season 1 all the way to 4. I hated kellerman (for a while), Kim, Gretchen, DON FUCKING SELF, the general, michaels mom (such a fucking bitch), and other characters that i can’t remember!!! very good writing here. same with michael, T-bag, mahone, Jon Abruzzi, Sucre. I honestly wish we got to see a bit more of Jon he was one of my favorite characters.
Overall this show isn’t terrible by any means and i’d probably rate it a 6.5/10. The first season was really good. I just think that some of the ideas were not fleshed out enough to make this a great show. It has a lot of weird quirks to it that make it pretty damn unrealistic. But it’s still a really fun show if you don’t take it so seriously, which is how you should be watching tv shows tbh 😭

Hey, I am looking to enrol in a 3-year bachelor of biomedicine program at UniMelb next year and wanted to know if anyone knew what would happen if I completed my 3-year undergraduate program and failed to get into med. Would I still have a chance to get into med again or am I cooked? Also, does anyone know if having a bachelor of biomedicine is even useful assuming I don't get into Med. Like what jobs can I get with a biomed degree? cheers!

Hi to all... This is my first post here, so I am an absolute novice. I am referring to Lord of the RIngs 5E from Free League:
I am an "almost" forever GM and while we are now playing another campaign, one of my players asked me about the possibility of playing, after our current game, without GM so everybody in the group can play as a character. I was thinking about it in a way like: "hmm... maybe, it's possible".
Then I began to study options and I found soon something interesting: the Strider Mode from the One Ring have tables and charts to play alone or without GM. It's not extensive but it's a beginning and it's clearly stated that one possible option is to play several players without GM. I think it's easy to adapt to LotR 5E.
The other document I found was "DM Yourselves" which is focused on 5e and has really interesting things like playing prewritten adventures or campaigns (with a simple but clever rule: stop reading when you see an spoiler).
We already played a LotR 5E campaign and it was a disaster since we didn't like how the GM "directed" (no descriptions, the feeling of no prep and no interest, etc). But I have all the LotR 5E books and I think it's easy to implement some "DM Yourselves" ideas in a LotR 5E game; for example, there are a lot of tables with events, the locations are well defined, there are a lot of adventure seeds, etc.
In essence, and in a way like Strider Mode, I am going to randomize tasks from patrons and rumours from the different expansions (Tales and Ruins from Eriador, Moria, etc).
For now, I have printed an A3 Eriador map to put locations and Event tables from books on the map... But no idea about how to hook all these adventures to a game without a GM. Maybe I have to make more tables and this work can be huge and exhausting so that's the reason I seek your help...
Have you played LotR 5E without GM? Any advice about how to implement all the books?

I will never forget when I was dealing with a female she told me you don't know how to express your feelings and she was right I didn't know how because I was not taught how to do that growing up but that I am a grown mature man I can now to be honest I use to think that expressing how you feel was WEAK so I never did it! I never had someone to sit down with me and show me how 🤷🏾♂️

Vector were $69.40 annual rental when I paid last July + currently $144.90 per bottle for comparison. Or is anyone else recommended?
