adhd musings #1367: i’ve been listening to the “get sleepy” podcast for a few months now to help with my insomnia. a nice british man (why do they always seem to be british?) reads me a nice bedtime story about a fluffy cat or the cotswolds or some strange yet non-violent greek myth and i fall asleep. maybe it is the pavlovian effect and i am somewhat trained at this point, but something i’ve always wondered is, how does one get into this line of work? unfortunately it is not an option for me in this life, as an american with a nasal voice and east coast accent (think girl version of ira glass), but i have always wondered. because telling someone “your voice puts me to sleep” is normally not a compliment, but the British guy I listen to has turned it into a whole profession! someone must have told him at some point, or maybe they dressed it up in latin-derived words to soften the blow (perhaps “your voice is so somniferous” or “you sound so soporific”). you find a latin word big enough you can turn anything into a compliment. (too big though and people just assume you’re insulting them. extremely big though, like needs-to-be-put-on-a-diet words (as in every other word in german), transgress the barriers and realms of language entirely and become mere sounds. interpretation becomes dependent on body language and how i feel about you… just some thoughts. anyone out there in sleep podcasting? how did you get your start? i hope irl you are using your superpower of making people fall asleep for good (or creative and amusing evil)

2025.01.30 17:51 Piss_glass Michelin All Season 4’s vs Cross Climate 2’s
Haven’t had any luck on my vehicles forum so I thought I would ask here. I have a Ford Explorer, ST and I’ve had the Michelin. PSAS 4’s on the vehicle for the past 30 to 35,000 miles. The tires didn’t last as long as I hoped for so I was considering replacing with the cross climate 2 which have a much longer rated tread life, and probably a firmer compound than the PSAS 4’s .
Has anybody had both these tires on their vehicle and can speak to the differences? Was kind of hoping somebody with a semi performance vehicle can mention how much the fuel or performance was lost with the CC 2’s over the PSAS 4’s.

I would always see posts about how Tana is slowly getting rid of Cancelled and just doing not love line, but at first I was hesitant because they would usually always stick to giving advice…. I’m just now catching up to the new Cancelled and the new not love line episodes, and I thought it was so crazy how not love line came out first after the fires and they had literally two episodes before they came out with a new canceled pod. Plus Tana and Trish don’t even answer that many questions anymore & just talk about the latest gossip or ramble😭 giving Cancelled vibes. They only answer a couple questions lol which is fine to me idc, but if I was Brooke I would be sweating 😅

As I go about my day I am fairly regularly encountering spirits. When possible, I pause and engage, but I usually find it’s someone I don’t know.
Is this typical?
I try to inquire about who they are and why they’re visiting. Sometimes I don’t get any clear insight, and other times it just feels like the answer is to show love/support for me today.
I’m still developing my abilities, so I do not feel super confident about the information I am able to gather, as well.
Curious if this happens to others? Or if you think these may indeed be people who I know/are passed on relatives but I’m just too much of a beginner to get a good read.

Hi guys,
We purchased one of those big android based display tablets from Amazon, the brand is Jyxiohub.
When we got these we enrolled them in Intune and placed a profile on them, however, it seems that Intune placed a pin lock on the machine but never uploaded that value up to Intune.
Now we're stuck with this tablet that we cant get into or reset. It has no external buttons so I can't do fastboot or recovery mode.
Does anyone know of a way that we can force a full factory reset? It has USB ports but I can't find any good software to force a reset.
I don't care about the data since it was brand new when it got locked out.
