My dream is to take apart a pocket watch movement, clean it, lubricate, and have it running again. My question: what would you recommend as the base minimum I need to clean the movement? We are talking about an amateur at a kitchen table. When I do research it is a bit overwhelming. I am imagining lighter fluid, food dehyrators, commercial chemicals, etc. Can I do it with pegwood and some 99% IPA?

I do not have a drivers licence yet so cannot rent out a mini van to dispose it off. I have heard we can hire a service to do so but did not find any concrete information. Can someone help me what needs to be done here.
PS: i do not have many friends help me out. Other suggestions are welcome.

hi everyone!
I am currently knitting my first sweater and I had picked up my first sleeve. the pattern gauge is 17stitches which I hit on 5.5mm for the body (row gauge is off, so I justed knitted to the length specified). but now using the same needles for the sleeves, my gauge was now more like 15stitches unblocked. which surprised me because I've read so often that people usually knit tighter on their sleeves and have to go up on needle size. I ripped back to the cap shaping and knitted on one needle size smaller so 5mm, but that was still too big. now I've ripped everything out and will start anew but I was wondering if anyone has any advice or might know why that happens?
i did a gauge swatch in the round before starting the sweater and that worked out fine when blocked. the sleeve was knitted on magic loop.
any help and advice is appreciated!

Local seller with a Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090 they say is brand new and sealed. Only thing is that it's sealed in plastic. I've bought a couple GPUs online from places like Newegg and Best Buy and they haven't been sealed in plastic, and unboxing videos I've seen online of this GPU don't show it sealed in plastic.
Does anyone else have this card that can confirm? Is this someone who just resealed the GPU with a plastic sealer?

My shop is very small, so I don't use the new automated Shopify sales tax. I have my shop set up to calculate and charge tax on appropriate orders based on my nexus, but then I do the report and remittance myself in my state's tax website. I just got my first order that was placed using through Shop marketplace and there's a note on it that Shopify will remit the tax.
How do I prevent both me and Shopify from remitting the same tax to my state?
