Over his last 5 games, he’s averaging 4 rebounds, but his rebounding metrics have been trending downward. 2025.01.30 18:25 itsameamario78 Is going to conventions even worth it anymore?
First off, let me start with saying, I used to love conventions. Back when they really were about comics and meeting celebrities at a reasonable price and seeing previews from DC and Marvel. Before it became to overcrowded and mainstream, cons were a different thing. Now, everyone goes to them and conventions because of this are no longer making prices affordable to attend. My biggest issue is, at a con like C2E2 costs exactly $120 for a three-day ticket, $64 for one day. I remember when the entire weekend pass used cost us $70.
What does paying an entrance fee get you? Nothing. It gets you in, where you spend even more money on the vendors there or the celebrity's autographs and photo ops. You also have to wait in really long lines, which your past up in by people who paid even more than you do to get a VIP pass, which is absurdly priced, but people do pay it, yet another small fortune.
I remember Stan Lee attending one year, one comic book to get signed by him was $60 in price, I thought then that was pretty expensive, now I realize how foolish I was to think that was expensive. Especially since Mark Hamill attended just last year and it was $400 for an autograph. Who pays that much for one? I love the guy, but I'm not ever paying that kind of money for anyone's autograph. I don't even care if it's someone like Michael Jordan, my favorite basketball player of all time.
But people did pay for it. Lots of people. So, they keep the prices up, unless we stop going, stop buying, they will continue to keep the prices up high. There is no reason why it should cost $120 to get into a three-day event that should cost something like thirty bucks to get in, 60 for three days. Like it used to be. Then you spend even more money inside. It used to be worth it. They had displays up from Marvel and DC, neither who attend anymore. They got rid of the famous red carpet at C2E2 claiming it was because they were cutting cost, which makes no sense to me how much they're charging people to attend.
So, is it worth it? I still hope to attend San Diego con someday, but are other cons like C2E2 or the FanExpo or anything done by Entertainment Creations still worth going to? I no longer think so. Not unless there is an actor or actress going that you really want to meet there. My local action figure shop tells me we shouldn't buy any figures there, just to go to the shop and buy them there, it's cheaper....So, what are your thoughts? With the rising expense of these conventions, is it still worth going to them? I like supporting the artists in artist alley, but at some point, I feel like it's becoming not worth the investment. Which is a real shame, because once again greed has ruined something that I used to love.

Hi,
Been MTBing for about 8 years now, I been going through some pretty bad pain on front of my knees for the last year or so. I am an XC rider who pushes hard pretty much every ride. After lots of research and trial and error I think the problem was my saddle was too low and too far forward so I pushed the saddle back about 25mm and put saddle height up about 6mm. Placing my heel on pedal at bottom of stroke doesn't quite fully lock my leg out there is still a very slight bend in knee but close to locking out
I know people laugh at KOPS but its a good starting point, even with saddle this far back the front of my knee is still slightly in front of pedal axle but I think its a good spot, looks further back then it is because I got a fat ass heh
My main question is about the saddle height, with this new position my knees are doing so much better and almost no pain at all anymore but the saddle just feels high to me but even if I lower it 2mm I start feeling more pressure on knee's and pain slowly starts to come back.... I think I just need some time to get used to being higher up on the bike... I made a quick vid riding my bike today, not the best angle but any opinions on my new saddle height?

Been going to a spot since 2019. I got 12 full body sessions from 2021-2023. Amazing results.
Now I need some touch ups on my legs, Brazilian, upper arms, neck and some chest. They said $1800/6 sessions.
That seems high for simple full body touch up. I'm olive toned and dark hair so I quickly get hyperpigmentation and stuff - meaning venturing out is a risk and I've been burned in the past or it did absolutely nothing when I tried other places.
Thoughts, tips, advice? All welcomed and appreciated

I have an acquaintance through my partner and I have grown a close relationship with their daughter who is a toddler. They recently went through a divorce (now a couple years ago) and seemed to be in a real rush to be in a relationship again. Context: almost two decade long relationship ended. Before this individual came into her life, she was beyond actively seeking a new partner as she felt her biological clock to give her daughter a sibling was ticking. She met a man who was used to dating the girls who are in the VIP sections of clubs handing out bottles. He alluded to the fact he did not want kids and wanted to live a bachelor life but it seems as he’s seen her home and her paychecks he has changed his tune. After less then a year, he moved in after living with a room mate, and is playing stepfather. They are now 1 month pregnant and he has “persuaded” her to get a car she did not want anything to do with and they are also getting married in a month after a year of being together. The biggest thing I am concerned about is the convincing her to get a car she didn’t want and now he has primary “driving rights” to the vehicle that she got for herself.
More context: he has made sexual comments about her friends to her, his friends have made comments about him getting out of a bummy situation and now he drives her new car everywhere after agreeing to take her old car. I know it is not my place and for my context this is my girlfriend’s close friend and I feel like I am watching a less crazy version of dirty John. There are things that specifically happened that I cannot share because they will give it away immediately but do you think someone should tell her like hey this is not looking too good and he seems like your money is a big reason he “changed”.

2025.01.30 18:25 itselsd Best Practice for Folder Redirection reversal
Hello,
I inherited a folder redirection policy that was storing users' documents folder on a server. Due to some storage space issues I had to move them to a different server, and during that time I also added redirection of the desktop folder.
Fast forward to today, I'm wanting to offer some more permanent solutions to the organization but in the meantime I'd like to dump the folder redirection altogether and get everything back to the users' local machines.
Now, both documents and desktop folders are configured to redirect back to local on policy removal. However, to avoid massive headaches for everybody as soon as they log in tomorrow, I would like to only redirect the desktop back to local to start with.
My question is what is considered the best practice for redirecting the desktop folder back if I don't intend to remove/unlink the GPO just yet?
When I redirected from srv1 to srv2 it moved the data that was already on srv1, so if I simply change the target folder back to %userprofile%\Desktop, it should move the data currently stored on srv2, is that right?
With desktop set to revert to local on removal, would simply setting the Desktop portion to "not configured" cause the removal process to move everything back to local?
I also have the option under the Target tab to change it to redirect to local profile location which seems like the most straightforward option to do this, but I wanted to ask around in case anybody has any suggestions/insight.

So...it all started few days back...me and my gf mutually decided to have a break (we both are 11th STD science students and dating for 2.5 yrs). Ab ye decision was like we knew humlog ke betterment ke liye...but somewhere or the other we wanted to revert back...few days passed and we both felt very empty...mood bhi down hi rehta tha...moreover it was not at all easy for us...uska ghar is like 5 min walk mere ghar se... she is my classmate....mere saamne baith ti h...same auto se aate jaate h humlog...auto mein agal bagal baithte h. We had thought ki haath and all nahi pakadna... pyaar vyaar kuch nahi..!!
So what happened today is...humlog din mein dismissal ke baad auto mein baith kar wapis aare the...and I had turned very quiet (like for obv reasons, everything just felt colourless) and she was like observing me...Suddenly usne mera just right arm pakda..and she like curled her left hand around my arm and leaned against my shoulder...!!! I like felt my heart skip a beat...I love her a lottt!! Like immensely..!! I Love everything of her...and ofc I was craving for her touch...!! She then comfortably kept her head on my shoulder and started to speak... Uska first line was ki.."ik ye haath pakadna and all nahi karna tha...but I just want to be close to u.." Uske baad we both talked for a while...she made me calm and she wanted me to get out of this udaasi wala phase... after a while...i was about to reach my home...she said me "Just relax karo...ik u'll win me someday and I would love to have u forever"
Uske baad main utar gaya apne ghar pe...next half an hour like pagal insaan I just kept on smiling, staring my hand (boys can relate this feeling) and ab I feel quiet peaceful and like...theek hu ab.
At the end...I just feel...It's neither the destination nor the journey...it's the partner you have...!! I genuinely feel... if you have a good partner...an understandable , a supportive partner...you both help each other grow..!!

Do universities care which one I take and which one would be best?
